Zuppardis is a cute old style suburb spot. I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and some of the suburbs in Connecticut are kind of similar so it’s kind of a little heart warming discovering CT
THE MOST underrated pizza in new haven???? Zuppardi's apizza they are up there with sallys and pepe's if you ask me. zups has the best sausage pie ive ever had in my life HANDS DOWN!!
Yes and as a mostly lifelong CT resident I am proud to say we do have the Best apizza. New Haven has the some of the best pizza but there are others like Zuppardi's, Luigi's and Mike's pizza all in West Haven
Zuppardis seems to have a closer resemblance to New York. It’s a great texture. Modern is great too. Scott Weiner from Scott’s pizza tours said that he loves Modern. I found Modern’s sausage and pepperoni a little too salty but the crunchy texture is excellent.
If Modern or Sally’s pizza made a pizza using the same tomato sauce and the same cheese from Johns of Bleecker in New York, that might possibly be the greatest New Haven pizza
Born and raised in Guilford- Spent a lot of time at BAR in the 90's, hit Pepe's a few times and even Sallys but love Modern the best hands down - Ohhh that dough.
CT generally, overall, has the best pizza in the world, including parts outside of new haven. As a resident of the town next over from you in manchester, I must ask, are you girls single?
I guess you meant “Naples”!!! And not Rome, Thats where the first pizza was created and can compete with NY & New Haven, but honestly all of them are different styles but delicious. Same applies with the Detroit and Chicago styles, all of them are unique
Sally’s is the best no doubt but Modern is good too. Get either tomato or light cheese. Regular cheese is too heavy and kills the structure of the crust. Rikos in Stamford is a better version of Colony.
@@sistersnackingI just took a trip out to Stamford and tried Colony and Riko’s a couple of weekends ago. No doubt for me Riko’s was better. Similar with the super thin crispy bar pie, but more flavor and saucier. Make sure you try their peanut butter pie too!
5:15 wait a minute, you guys order Sallys a lot as a family of 6, but never have tried the tomato pie? Are you guys just pretending to have never tried the tomato pie for the camera? It seems like you guys are regulars, but regulars that have never gotten the tomato pie?
Roma NYC really shows you nutting about pizza Napoli Italia capitol of Pizza of the World where it all Started bar none Had Pepe fantastic pls stop it with Americano Pizza good But not Napoli
" The best pizza in the world is in New Haven, CT" . This statement is a blasphemy that can only be pardoned if it was written by a seriously mentally ill person.
I kind of agree, but there is a uniqueness about that crunch that doesn’t try to copy New York like how New Jersey does. Plus there’s something special about the New Haven vibe
How is Modern pizza not the 3rd stop in New Haven? Peppes, Sally's, and Modern are the big 3... What happened?
Probably ready for a drink 🤣
I think moderns better than both Sallys and pepe just because I don't have all day to wait for apizza
I’d say Sally’s, modern, Pepe’s
we didn't do it this day but love modern!
Modern Apizza is considered one of the big three in New Haven; along with Pepe's and Sally's
yes!
@@sistersnackingu love Pepe’s
You need to try Modern Apizza in New Haven and Zuppardis in West Haven.

I think a lot of tourists from upstate NY visit New Haven for the pizza
Got to try modern or zuppardi's. Zuppardi's is in West Haven I think it's very good as well. Not so bad as a wait times especially on the weekends
Zuppardis is a cute old style suburb spot. I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and some of the suburbs in Connecticut are kind of similar so it’s kind of a little heart warming discovering CT
But yeah I agree Zuppardis is good. I flew in from Atlanta to try their famous clam pie.
Sally’s is the Goat of Pies. The potato pie looked great. I’m gonna try it next time.
Love the vocal fry too! LOL
If you ever get to Jersey. Papa’s and DeLorenxo’s are a must. Right up there with John’s and Sally’s. In Robbinsville.
one of us lives in jersey! we'll have to check it out
Or try them both. They are literally a few blocks from each other. Try the mustard pie at Papa’s. An absolute must.🍕
Loved this! Would like to see more content around great sandwich spots. Keep up the good work!
We’ve been doing a grinder round up in CT on our instagram! Check it out.
This is probably their best video.
Sally's is #1 in my heart. I'm glad they ship. I'm not local and we traveled all the way from D.C. to go to Sally's.
You also need to got to Modern Pizza in New Haven and Little Rendevous in Meriden
Loving the long-form stuff.

That video makes me hungry
What’s your favorite pizza in New Haven?
Zuppardis
Zuppardi's Apizza on Union Ave in West Haven. Get the sausage with Mootz.
Zuppardis seems to have a closer resemblance to New York. It’s a great texture. Modern is great too. Scott Weiner from Scott’s pizza tours said that he loves Modern. I found Modern’s sausage and pepperoni a little too salty but the crunchy texture is excellent.

thanks for the episode. Great looking pizza. Making me hungry
aw love that
@@sistersnacking Have you guys ever reviewed Al Santillos brick oven pizza in Elizabeth New Jersey?
You got a small at Pepe’s which is hard to compare when you got big pies everywhere else.
Modern, Zuppardis, Fuoco,Christo's, Roseland
Has to be an award for the greatest subtle dig at Chicago pizza of all time at 4:34, Great rundown!
Zuppardi's got the best clam pie hands down!
Try the little rendouzvous it’s a further drive but today worth it dave rated it a 9.1
it's ont he list!
Born and raised in Guilford- Spent a lot of time at BAR in the 90's, hit Pepe's a few times and even Sallys but love Modern the best hands down - Ohhh that dough.
I live in ct. We may be taxed to death but by gum we have some of the best pizza anywhere. Not just in new haven.
Yes - Try Ernie’s indeed!!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!
Really enjoy your brutally honest reviews.
Refreshing.
It’s brutality honest and sometimes it hurts. But it’s like a lesson in life
thank you!!
"this oven is older than we are" wow! So it's probably still under warranty right?
Great looking pizza most say living in nyc area we have great pizza also I did havr ct pizza most say very good also You guys also look amazing
thank you!!
CT generally, overall, has the best pizza in the world, including parts outside of new haven. As a resident of the town next over from you in manchester, I must ask, are you girls single?
To my surprise, almost all of the pizza in Thailand is excellent. A lot of Neapolitan expats open pizzerias I guess…
Colony cheese pizza looked awesome.
Never had it but that hot oil sounds like a good idea
Frank Pepe's is a skip 100%. Their franchising efforts made the quality of the pizza drop.
try the 3 brothers that own fuoco christos and luna
Sally’s looks the best to me!
I guess you meant “Naples”!!! And not Rome, Thats where the first pizza was created and can compete with NY & New Haven, but honestly all of them are different styles but delicious. Same applies with the Detroit and Chicago styles, all of them are unique
Oh Pepe not making the grade these days...other reviewers have said the same
It's not just new haven, it's all of CT
Its a small town lol new york is too big but if your a new york roadster your know theres more spots in nyc its just spread through the boroughs
There is something special about New Haven and Connecticut that I can’t exactly pinpoint. Maybe it’s a New England charm or old ghosts.
agreed. actually most of CT has great piazza
Modern ? Zappardis?
Sally’s is the best no doubt but Modern is good too. Get either tomato or light cheese. Regular cheese is too heavy and kills the structure of the crust. Rikos in Stamford is a better version of Colony.
we've been to modern too! it's in our larger short form pizza round up but we must try Rikos then!
@@sistersnackingI just took a trip out to Stamford and tried Colony and Riko’s a couple of weekends ago. No doubt for me Riko’s was better. Similar with the super thin crispy bar pie, but more flavor and saucier. Make sure you try their peanut butter pie too!
I like Modern more but Sally’s potato pizza is a fun pizza and a unique experience
Louis Lunch is not overrated
Love Colony Grill
1:05 WTAF is that?
~LADIES, NY PIZZA!!! Ahahahaha🥰
Chicago enters chat...
What am i to you too nincompoops??!
They didn’t like Chicago pizza on their Chicago video. Personally I like Chicago pizza but in my opinion it’s not as good as the east coast
YOUR BOTH SO CUTE
All the Citiots are coming to New Haven now...great.
you are wrong sallys had graded cheese you just cant see it because it melts
I think Dave portnoy should watch this video & go there.
he has!!
I go to Pepe’s in Warwick RI. Crispy crust always. Never tried to original. To me the best pizza is in Rhode Island
What on earth ? Rhode Island ?
Mikes Pizza West Haven is my favorite pizza

New Haven - Apizza City
BELLA PIZZA

You did not go to modern and believe it. You are not.
A pizza reviewer, there is only one pizza reviewer, and he's the boss
cute driver yum
That salad pizza is... well, anyways. I'll focus on just saying positive things. New Haven pizza is great.
Let's rate Modern.
got to go back! we love it and ranked it in our top CT pizza video
Sally’s is the best forever
5:15 wait a minute, you guys order Sallys a lot as a family of 6, but never have tried the tomato pie? Are you guys just pretending to have never tried the tomato pie for the camera? It seems like you guys are regulars, but regulars that have never gotten the tomato pie?
Me and so many of my friends think Ernie's is New Haven's best apizza.
woah
Did not include Modern, you got a thumb downs , Sad girls pretty sad .

Oh give me a break. If it weren’t for the Americas Italy wouldn’t even HAVE tomato sauce. They would still only have white pizzas.
