Bookmark Ideas Using Watercolor Paper and Markers

It’s time to doodle and draw - and make these colorful bookmarks! I used three different types of @Crayola markers and created patterns and designs on cardstock. I cut them up and turned them into bookmarks. A perfect project for back-to-school or when you just want to sit and be creative.
The Crayola Dual-Ended Doodle Markers have a brush tip on one side and a chisel tip on the other. The Fine Point Doodle Markers are permanent and work on any surface - wood, fabric, plastic. And my fave? The Color-Change Doodle Markers! There are eight markers in the set, they are double sides with different hues, then you can layer them to create a whole new palette!
All of them are quick-dry and the colors are so vivid and bright, yet they don’t bleed through.
How to make the bookmarks: Use the markers to create swatches of colors and patterns on cardstock. It’s best to have an array of colors. Cut out shapes to fit on a 2x5” piece of cardstock. Use a die cut machine, an electronic cutting machine, or just freehand cut! Punch a hole at the top of the bookmark and add a ribbon. Outline all the cut-outs in black and then layer them on the bookmark. Customize them further by adding lettering!
