JOHNNY - SIMPLY THE BEST OF ALL TIME ! I watched him from 1962 to 1992 - never missed a show for 30 yrs. Thank god for you tube so we all can enjoy him again. SUBSCRIBED FAN, CHESTER ( USA- PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA )
09/05/23' Read in a history piece on J.C. that he banned Rich Little from the guest list for life after Rich gave his impersonation of J.C. including the laugh. Rich said that J.C. was difficult to perfect. Audience went wild, J.C. apparently had a weak ego. Still...unmatched to this day for his abilities.
There will never be another time like this or another show like this one. In the history of television , Johnny Carson remains the King of Late Night T.V. and will always reign as King. I love to come here and watch these shows. It helps me to relax and forget about some of the stupidity that is going on in this world.
I'm a zoomer who grew up without many friends, but my grandmother's Johnny Carson collection always kept me company. No other late night talk show comes close. RIP Johnny.
Jack, do the world a favour. If possible, put your Carson collection on UA-cam. It will be demonitized obviously, but it would be a great service to the world.
What is a Zoomer? I also grew up without a lot of friends just one regular guy, neighbor & classmate, Ted. A couple of other classmates that were casual, but not close. There were 2 sisters that I played a lotta games with from the age of 7 to 14. I had a big crush on them and in the latter year I lusted after one of them a lot, but then they moved from the apartment building and dad bought a house in a far off suburb. 5 girls and no boys until the last year they tried one last time and got a boy, Walter. 🙏🤗
Wow, I've never seen this before! Can't remember it being on any of his anniversary shows either! This was Carson's genius. If a sketch or joke failed, the audience did not blame him. In fact he could usually then make it even funnier! Here he makes it ten times funnier by him not realizing his stache fell off! This was something Leno simply could not do. But Conan could also do this! This is also the only time I remember seeing Johnny completely give up on a bit!
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a Floyd R Turbo sketch that went off the rails that Johnny pulled the plug on early, and it was hilarious. Johnny had the ability to make a sketch or a monologue that was bombing simply by his use of self deprecating humor and his ad lib skills.
There was one other Art Fern sketch that was going so bad Johnny ducked behind the podium for a moment then scooted it back to the door to exit without being seen, but with no explanation. After the commercial at his desk he said something about it being so bad he couldn't finish, he couldn't cut it short, and he couldn't just walk out normally.
seriously never seen another person on TV be as personable and likeable as Carson. which is weird when you think about how difficult he was in real life. but somehow when you're watching him you feel like he's your friend and you're right there with him. when he's funny, he's funny. when the jokes fail, he's somehow even funnier. when things go wrong, like here, it's a riot.
I loved these skits my favorites were the commercial in between the movie had a map showing how to go on the clover leaf highway and under the bypass and through the tunnel to get to the store
@@rustybarrel516 That was one horrid movie. I remember seeing it at the dollar cinema. Even so, I felt ripped off. What a terrible waste of Jackie Gleason and Richard Pryor.
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST 3 MINUTES AND 52 SECONDS OF MY ENTIRE LIFE THAT ONLY JOHNNY AND TERESA GANZEL COULD PROVIDE. TERESA GANZEL WAS OUTSTANDING AS THE MATINEE LADY JUST LIKE CAROL WAYNE WAS. BRILLIANCE IS THE WORD THAT DESCRIBES WHAT WE JUST SAW HERE. CHESTER - USA - PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
Folded up the tent and stopped watching late night once Johnny left. Does not seem that long ago. I will catch guff, but Lettermen, Leno, Conan not even in the same league.
I remember watching Carson in my late teens into mid 20’s and he would gently recap the political news in a funny respectful way. Never would he demean the Office of the President. While he’s poke fun it was thinking man’s humor but not as grating as David Letterman. The newer guy’s I just don’t watch any of them.
We had this in our moment in time ..absolutely the best entertainment ..just look at the garbage that we have today ….!! So sad … how will we ever get it back ????

Johnny has been gone for so long it seems like a dream that he was even there. We really didn't understand just how good we had it.
That´s a good way to put it. But luckily we have a lot saved here on UA-cam, so we don´t need to dream.
Ed and Doc and Tommy missed too…
Doc is still alive
This is one of the all-time greatest moments in the show's history.

"Superman Flies Both Ways" in recent comics that's accurate 😂
DOH!
I'm a zoomer who grew up without many friends, but my grandmother's Johnny Carson collection always kept me company. No other late night talk show comes close. RIP Johnny.

The best of the best. No one can touch Johnny Carson!
Love it!!! Johnny Carson Forever!!! 😂❤🎉🍸😎
This sketch, and the one with the Copped copper clappers! With Jack Webb of the Dragnet series. That one was absolutely gold😅
I remember this and laughing so hard I hurt... I loved Art Fern and Johnny Carson too!! I miss his phenomenal talents.
This is right up there with "Sis-Boom-Bah"
Hard to beat that!
That was the funniest Carnac sketch I have ever seem. Made even funnier as Johnny and Ed could not control their laughing.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I have tears running down my face from laughing so hard.
This ranks right up there with Sis Boom Bah, Ed Ames and El Mouldo!

RIP Johnny Carson 😔
I couldn't guess the countless times I've watched this, still makes me laugh. He is the best tv host ever to this day!
Just watching Johnny lose it is what makes it so hilarious!!
Classic moment.
Teresa Ganzel had some big shoes to fill; she was wonderful. Late night cinema just isn't the same without Art Fern!
I miss Johnny so much.
One doesn't usually think of Carson as a sketch comedy guy but he wasn't too bad at that. The guy was just all-around great.
Actually that's what I liked the most about him. I looked forward to the sketches!
I want to see the whole version of this sketch!
That may have been all there was - Johnny sounded like he was done with the whole sketch :)
I believe they did another Tea Time Movie sketch a few weeks later.
That's all she wrote. Nothing more.
@@Bigbadwhitecracker no, Art Fern was a recurring sketch he did many times

She was in a movie called The Toy with Jackie Gleason and Richard Pryor. She was by far the best part.
