It was such an honor playing Bn6 at EVO this year. I still remember the preperation of gathering the battle chips, trading with friends, preping with them, bug frag grinding, and the event itself. All these moments leading up to the tournament and the tournament itself will stick with me for the rest of my life. Thank you LA GEMA and also a large thank you to Ricky Sparks and the rest of the staff for organizing such an amazing event.
We fought so hard to get a Battle Network legacy collection. Thank you all who made this possible. This is surreal to see my favorite series be at EVO.
Beat pokemon? Doubt it, but it had potential to stand next to it, along side Yu-Gi-Oh. It was so fun having a PET, with my friends in school. If you lost, you had to take a walk to revive them. Encouraging exercise. I felt like it was ahead of it’s time. Just the marketing push for them didn’t last as long.
This is too precious: These games being at evo, the excitement of the community, the fact that the commenters are fumbling about a little bit because this is just a new paradigm of commenting the matches, which used to be recorded. Pure, unadultered joy I say.
I feel like there is so much more that can be done with this. A mobile stream setup. A trigger where sensor bars block the cust screen and turn off when the round starts so commentators can commentate effectively. Cameras for the players. I see big potential in the BN community to make more accessible experience if we can have these three implemented.
This is using the physical collection on Switch, yeah? It’s not just using a save file with everything unlocked, these folders are manually grinded out in-game.
@@Stoic_Y very much. I saw some comments on other videos about this event that lead me to believe it still is since someone needed bugstop to finish their navicust and were able to get it via a hotspot someone set up.

236 / 5.000 It's funny and somewhat ironic since my dream was to be able to play MBN online and on Steam there are 100% no games, however from what I understand on Switch it was more alive and here I wonder why Capcom didn't do cross-platform play with the other platforms?
Haven't watched EVO since the Smash Bros controversy so seeing this after a long hiatus is genuinely awesome since Megaman was a staple in my childhood
Awesome TOURNAMENT!!!!! Congrats to everyone Ricky, Solar and so happy to be having AnimeCaveman and CracBac from the Cyber-Bully-Academy Team!!! You peeps make me proud.
No way this was at evo didn’t even know about this I need more of this haven’t played on switch in a bit and I assume the switch version is being played cause of the local play added in compared to ps5 and pc ports
MMBN6 itself has a system called "bugging". (I know it sounds bad but bare with me) the mechanic comes from the customization menu, where you are allowed to place certain blocks for passive buffs like more hp or damage etc.. however, there are rules for the system Certain colors of blocks cannot be next to each other, blocks cannot overlap, and certain blocks HAVE to cross the middle line while others aren't allowed to touch it. That being said, you're allowed to break all the rules except the overlap one, so long as you're willing to deal with the consequences, those being the aforementioned bugs. The collision bug is one of them, meaning that enemies deal contact damage to you (they wouldn't be able to otherwise), so while it's not technically a game bug, it is called a "bug" by the game terms. If there's an ACTUAL bug (as in, glitch in the game unintended by the devs) we call them glitches instead to differentiate.
No other matches in the video have that happen. What you saw is a rare occurrence that is not common to see in competitive matches, it's so rare that for people in the community it's kinda hype and fun when it happens. In this instance if any of the players in the match called for an organizer it would've been looked into, since they continued playing the set it's assumed they both agreed with the outcome. Some people have mentioned it too so I might make a video on it, let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks
Sick to see Mega Man Battle Network at EVO. I hope we get more tech to make it easier to stream and get some LAN connection (no pun intended!) since it sounds like the rest of the setup is good.
is it coincidence that this is getting shown to me because ive followed evo for years or due to me playing and loving MMBN 1-6 in my childhood?? fucking hate how "algorithim" taps into your life without any prior search to certains topics. its as if "computers" can hear our thoughts....GOOD SHIT THO KEEP MMBN ALIVE NIKKKAAA
Im so happy Battlenetwork fans finally got their PC release, I enjoyed the games as a kid but I didn't know there was a competitive PvP scene for it, and from what I've heard it was struggling because of its limited accessibility. Now to see it on EVO? its crazy!
I’ve played the heck out of this series of games back in the day and let me tell you it’s refreshing to see this being a thing. I’m also annoyed seeing people using damage plus chips AFTER a damaging chip or attempting to add damage to a chip with no attack value like dbl beast. 😂😅
I saw that there was a BN side tournament at EVO, but I didn't get to watch this. It's so awesome. If someone were looking to get in to the competitive scene for this game/series, where I begin to look or ask questions? Is there a Discord? I gotta know.
Mega man battle network 6 is a somewhat balanced game for every double chip & Navi Cross. Although some Battle Chips like Risky Honey 3 & Colonel Force are broken but that’s up to the players choice.
