- It’s not like us to follow the crowd, so we’re flipping the script on New Year’s resolutions since they usually just make us feel like a failure by January 10th. We’re taking the pressure off this year and going for goals we know we can keep, and dropping the ones where we fall flat. Here are our real resolutions (and more importantly our NON-resolutions) for 2024!
We've got tons of other great resources on how to live a long and healthy life with diabetes:

This is great advice for Managing Type 2 Diabetes, but not for Reversing it...
I know T2D people who would rather die than to go without their favorite junk food or alcohol. So, perhaps it is good advice for diabetics who lack willpower. Advice like, "OK to have dessert but just don't have it daily."
@@george5120 Now substitute the word cocaine for junk food.
@@george5120that's the "MODERATION" nonsense that got them ADDICTED to begin with. Moderation does not work with addiction, only ABSTINENCE!
You two just crack me up (pun intended) - I now have to go check out what a box of Trix is all about Dr. E ! Happy New Year!!
Thanks Anna! Happy New Year to you!
Great message Y'all. I'm so glad I found TCOYD!
We are too! :)
@@TCOYDtv 🤩
Happy New Year! 🎉.
Happy New Year to YOU!
Eggs are great food for diabetics
Eggs are fine for most people, but there are other good options like Egg Beaters and egg whites for those who want to limit the cholesterol.
I thought that eggs are no longer thought to contribute to high cholesterol.
If you have high cholesterol and you're on medication, a few eggs per week are okay.
They don't! I'm off statins (nasty side effects) and I eat up to 6 a day now! Best numbers ever! When I was avoiding them it was the worse. Total around 185, Triglyceride/HDL ratio under 1.5!
What I’m not going to do is get pissed off when the c g m acts a fool
That's a good one!
I have to do a better job of expanding what I eat.
That's a good one...it's so easy to rinse and repeat!
Keep eating junk food & eggs are unhealthy?
Adhering to new year's resolutions are the least of your concerns.
We don't promote eating junk food, but we do try to help people control their blood sugars when they do, which is a reality of life.
"Taking Control Of Your Diabetes" show and they're promoting donuts and Trix cereal...
What a f*cking joke! 😂😂
We don't promote it, but we certainly give information on how to control your blood sugars for those rare moments.
@TCOYDtv why control/manage it when you can reverse it or, at the very least, put it in remission? Instead, y'all encourage diabetics to eat Trix?! You're not doing doing people, who suffer with diabetes, any favors!
But it keeps those sponsorships flowing, you know!
@@grumpyinbrooklyn6347 of course!! 😂
Why are Doctors promoting UPF crap?
We aren't promoting it, but we do try to help people control their blood sugars when they do indulge from time to time.
@@TCOYDtv Well, yes you are, even if unintentionally! Endos need to get up to speed on their understanding of ADDICTION as it pertains to ultra processed foods! Dietitians too, by the way!
Trix ?? Really ?? Its garbage processed food. Ill commit to not listening to this horrible advice !
No argument there, but it’s really not that much different than other cold cereals.
The guy on the left should lose his license for recommending Trix and demonizing eggs.
Who knows, maybe he will someday… 😉 though he was just sharing a treat he likes from time to time, and a preference for egg beaters.
