The light spots on your candles is called “frosting” this usually happens in natural wax candles like soy and is more apparent when adding dyes. You can fix this by mixing your wax less vigorously and pouring at a lower temperature. If you have glass jars you can preheat just the jars or containers as well in the oven or using a heat gun to reduce frosting/craters as well :) I love making soy/paraffin blended candles as a hobby often! Hope this helps for future candle diys!

Don't sniff at the old crone factor! These are good ideas I can use,especially easy is the shell painting for trinkies, but in a large very formal frame to do a cursive curse word for my bedroom seems right if I can get these light strips. And if I can get a moderately cursing word without being crude and vulgar . Thank you. Anxiety this last couple weeks totally understandable.

I just wanted to come on here to say that my dad died a few days ago from covid. Your videos and your positivity kept me going while he was in hospital. You comforted me through all of the trauma. The coasters would be really cute made Mondrian-style--each square in a different primary color with black grout.

The white spots on the candles might be from over heating the wax. It's pretty common in soy candles if I remember correctly! Loved all your diys as usual ❤

Hang in there Drew! We creatives are prone to anxiety and many of us are also empaths so we pick up energy from everyone around us. Love your projects today! I want to make one of the neon signs for each of my grandkids. I’m going to ask them what their “word” is and surprise them with the signs!

When I was a kid we’d go to the beach for vacation...We used to dig holes in the sand and line it with shells we found then pour wax into them to make candles! Totally took me back!

Coaster tip: grout is tricky and can break down easily with moisture. Use a grout sealer to ensure that the grouting doesn’t crumble apart and fall out of the coasters.

You, by far, have the best DIY channel on UA-cam. I’ve been watching UA-cam videos for nearly 10 years, and I always felt like DIYers stretched their designs in the sense that they looked cheap/ homemade or they weren’t actually anything someone would want to have in their home.
