Excellent video and content Mark, thank you. A natural and you’re one of my favorite watch enthusiasts and experts. Keep up with the great work and videos.
I use to dislike Nato straps a lot until I bought my first luxury timepiece, Omega Seamaster 300 Co-Axial. In the Bond blue color. I bought a Nato from Omega and put it on, it was the Commander colors, the one that Sean Connery had on his Rolex Submariner, it looked great. One day, walking one Winter's day, I was doing normal errands. When I went to get lunch I noticed that my Omega was dangling around on only one spring bar. I was very curious how this happened. But I was super thankful that I had it on a Nato strap that day otherwise I probably would've dropped the watch onto the pavement and that would, more or less, be the end. To this day, if I don't have my watches on bracelets, I keep them on Natos or Bund straps.
I really like Mark, dont get me wrong, but when he started hosting I thought it was going to be split hosting duties between all the different segments. Did Nathan leave? I was excited to see more content of both of them.
Question about bund straps - are there ever size options for the leather part that goes under the watch? I am thinking of using it on a Khaki Field which is a 38. I don’t want it to look odd if the bund part is too big. Thanks for the video.
They do, to give a visual reference the IWC on the bund is 39mm and I think a field Khaki would work on it. Newman style bunds do not flare out and are usually closer to 35mm across and give a much slimmer feel. -Mark
Great video. Great insights and all, but honestly, if you're gonna film a video, at least get your suit and shirt pressed. Or just wear something casual that works. A wrinkled suit jacket and shirt just makes you look sloppy. A simple sweater or even a nice polo would have been fine.
Would love to see an episode about the different color vegan pineappple straps. I bought a brown one from the Hodinkee app and it sings when paired with my 16030 Datejust.
Observation: I stoppped after the "molesting" of the Daytona and 56 calendar. You are "hocking" your dopey straps to get sales. Are you guys used car salesman too? I hope no one in watch land isgullible enough to fall for this garish advice.
Cordovan leather.....once you go cordovan, you won't want anything else on your wrist. Definitely worth the extra money.
Cordovan I think is a great alternative to Alligator, both tend to be a little stiff at first but wear in nicely and are very durable. -Mark

Anything on a NATO immediately screams "PURE CLASS"!
OK, Ciao, I'll show myself out.
This is such a cool idea for a video!
Thank you, it was fun to expand the series a bit. -Mark
Excellent idea for a video. I almost want to save up for a Tudor Heritage Ranger just so I could put it on that Suede Camo.
Another excellent video. That baby blue strap on the Panerai is chef's kiss, but I might be biased.

That is amazing, glad you didn't lose the Omega and the Nato did its job! -Mark

Where is Nathan?
@@steviedj6730 Nathan left.
No canvas? That's my go-to: fancier than nylon, not as posh as leather.

As a female viewer I think so you need to give some love to your manicure.
Great video! I learned a lot, and so many of the variations suggested are practically “hidden gems” :) Inspiring and enjoyable. Thank you!
Great content as usual!
Thank you so much -Mark
My favorite strap is a Rios 1931 Nature Buffalo. I'm a big fan of French Paratrooper straps. They are similar to NATOs, but I like them better.
Cool video, thanks…
What strap would you recommend for a z-blue milgauss. Orange could be fun?!
Keep up the good work!
👍🏻
Why not talk about watch straps in Milanese
Cool breakdown. However I find it funny that the camo suede strap is the least water resistant. Yet .....it's camo ....
C'mon man , I wear a gator strap with jeans and a button down , suit not needed.
Yep, I like doing it the other way around, my diver or even my beater on a fancy gator strap, I love the way they look and feel.
Haven't seen the daytona this way before. Never looked better to me.
The VC on the nato: I don't feel it, no idea why but I would never do that.
How can I order watch bands?
8mins of nylon Nato strap... really?...sigh..
Wow, Hodinkee straps way overpriced!

Might have to do a part 2 with the pineapple and all the other materials we did not get to. -Mark
What is the calatrava reference
5054J, great watch to check out more on. -Mark
Nice video / info but please never use the music you had in the intro again!
