  • In this video I show you how to install the Mabett LED Trail Sights Lights for your 2021+ Ford Bronco.
    While the OEM trail sights are certainly functional, I think that Ford missed the mark with this opportunity. These LED Trail Sight Lights add form and function to the front of your Bronco. Not only are these trail sights made from solid aluminum, they also have integrated, sequential LED turn signals in them as well, and depending how you wire them up, they can be DRLs or on only when your headlights are on. A really nice addition to the Bronco, and really very straightforward to install, as you can see in this video.

      @@CUPRADESIGN question... did your kit come with the two long red wires that tap into the fuse box and you just ignore them?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  Рік тому +1

      @@MikeHaddon - Hey Mike, great question. No, my kit did not include the two long wires, my kit was a pre-production set for evaluation purposes, test fitting etc. I was sent them to check them out and record the installation video. The wires were added later on, because people complained that they weren’t on ‘all the time’ to use as turn signals. My set only come on when the headlights are on. Hope that helps.

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  Рік тому

      Hey Anthony, thanks for the feedback! I think the lenses should be just fine. A lot depends on how you clean them and maintain them I guess. I’ll definitely provide feedback as time goes on.
      As for the sockets, I actually recorded the video 3 months ago, these were prototype lights, but I only narrated the video a couple of nights ago!
      Just went and double checked, removing the original nuts/bolt from the OEM trail sight is a 10mm.
      Installing the new trail sight light is a 10mm for the OEM bolt nearest the windshield, and then the two new bolts are an 8mm socket. Hope that helps.

    Watching both your videos for the trail lights and the one for the Fog lights you mentioned that they can both connect to the headlight plug is there a connector for that method. Thanks great vids.

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  9 місяців тому

      Hey @BadRobot56, great question. The trail sight lights have a connector that plugs into the headlight socket and then the headlight connects into the other end of the harness.
      The fog lights have the same type of harness, you plug one end into the headlight and the headlight connector plugs in the other end of the harness.
      Now to use both, you can piggy back them. Plug the trail sight harness into the headlight. Then plug the fog light connector into the other end of the harness. And then you can plug the original headlight connector in the other end of the fog light harness (that is what I did in the fog light video). You DO NOT need a separate connector/harness/adapter.
      Hope that helps, and thank you so much for watching the videos. Means a lot!

    Instead of using the add a fuse and connecting to the fuse box, would you be able to hook the red wiring harness up to an auxiliary switch?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  11 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately, I don’t have a solid answer for you as my trail sight lights were prototype versions, so they didn’t come with the add-a-fuse originally. They were designed to only work when the headlights are on, so I only have the headlight connector. I’m not sure how or if connecting to an AUX switch could potential challenge the connection to your headlights. It might be just fine, but I’d hate to say go for it and find out that it damages your headlights for some reason.

    Do they act like horizontal OEM DRL lights? Do they turn on with either the knob or when dark?

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  Рік тому

      These ones that I have were prototypes. They flash when you unlock the vehicle and then they on as DRLs when the headlights are on. They flash as sequential turn signals, again, when the headlights are on.
      Now with the trail sight lights that are for sale, you get an add-a-fuse harness as well, so that the lights can be on all the time as DRLs and also always be a turn signal. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

    i'm having a hard time doing this. my fender flare is mounted differently. i also have alot of other things in the way to get to the harness. it would be great if you could demonstrate on how to do this with the raptor bronco.

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  3 місяці тому

      Hey @xromad01 - I am not a manufacturer, I was provided this product to install on my own Bronco. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Raptor Bronco.
      However, the advice I can give is this, you 'should' still be able to remove the inner fender well without removing the flare, the removal of the flare just makes it a lot easier. Failing that, with the larger clearance on the suspension on the Raptor, I wonder if you could go in from the front and get your hand in behind the fender well.
      Another alternative is this, slightly more extreme, but if you remove the headlight instead, you can get to the harness that way. In this video, I show you how to remove a headlight, so that might help in your case with the Raptor. Good luck and thank you for watching!

      I am not 100% sure but I don’t believe that there is any difference between the Raptor trail sights and the non Raptor trail sights, so I am assuming that the install would be just the same. Without having installed them on a Raptor I can’t confirm 100%.

      @@CUPRADESIGN

    • @CUPRADESIGN
      @CUPRADESIGN  11 місяців тому

      Yes, if you want DRLs all the time and turn signals you have to plug it in. Otherwise they will only be on and turn signals when you have your headlights on.
      They do however flash when you unlock and first turn on the Bronco in this state.

      Hey @edulucro2917 - Do you mean like a smoked version? You could always put some tint film on them or some VRT night shade before you install them. Just a thought. The lenses come off with just two screws from the back side, so you could easily do it without damaging the whole thing.
      Mabett have also come out with a dual light version, that is amber and white. That's also an option. Hope this helps.

      Hey Alby, these were actually a prototype set, so they only light up when the headlights are on.

    The product that was delivered to me was very poorly made. The interposition connecter lacked retaining clips.the screw holes on the driver side were poorly aligned. I fettled it to fit. Three months down the line half the LED's on the one light started flickering and went out. I would recommend the IAG off road product which is more expensive but of vastly superior quality.
