Summary(Important Notes) of The Fiqh of Salah Episode 12: Optional Prayers: Sunan Al Rawatib In Hambali Madhab, Prayers that are not obligatory(Nafil and Sunnah) are of 5 types: 1. Routine Sunnah prayers - Prayers that are linked with the five daily prayers, either before or after them. All three Madhabs say that this is 10 in number, they base this on a Hadith of Ibn Umar: “Ten are the Rakahs I memorized from the Prophet(SAW): - Two before Zuhr, - Two after Zuhr, - Two after Maghrib, - Two after Isha, - Two before Fajr.” Hanafi Madhab says that this is 12 in number, they base this on a Hadith of Umm Habibah: The Prophet(SAW) said- “Whoever prays 12 Raka’aat daily, Allah will build a palace for him in Jannah.” The Hadith lists them and here it says four before Zuhr, instead of two. The other Madhabs say that this demonstrates that you can pray 4 before Zuhr if you want to but the Hadith of Ibn Umar demonstrates the regular number. The difference is basically about how many Rakah there are before Zuhr, the concept of Sunan Al Rawatib is agreed upon by all the Madhabs. The Sunan Al Rawatib are not all on the same level. The most important Sunan Al Rawatib are the two Rakah before Fajr. This is based on two Hadith - “The two Raka’s of Fajr are more blessed than the whole world and all that is in it.” “Pray them even if the enemies are chasing you on their horses.” The two Rakah before Fajr and two Rakah after Maghrib are recommended(Mustahab) to pray swiftly and at home. The evidence for this is a Hadith reported by Aisha(RA) and, in other Hadith, we learn that the Prophet(SAW) used to read Surah Al-Ikhlaas and Surah Al-Kafiroon during them(which was not the norm). It is important to note that praying quickly does not mean violating the Arkaan, one of which is doing the actions with gentle calmness. Quickly just means smaller recitation. This ends the entire summary. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair

Sir didn't talk about witr Salah.
What about 4 before isha and 4 after asr (for Hanifi)
4 before Asr you mean to say? There are no salaat between Asr and Maghrib, so the question of 4 after Asr is not even relevant.
