But it's not like his research is complete, when he talked about the Hanafi position of 15 days, he missed a crucial evidence; a narration in the Kitab ul Athar of Imam Abu Hanifah in which he narrates with his chain from Ibn Umar (RA) that said that if you are a musafir, and plan on staying 15 days then complete your salah (don't do qasr). He made Hanafis sound like idiots.
The hadith that refers to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) combining prayers without a specific reason is found in **Sahih Muslim**. The narration comes from **Ibn Abbas** (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: > "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) combined Dhuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha in Madinah without being in a state of fear or rain." When Ibn Abbas was asked about this, he said that the Prophet did so to make things easier for his Ummah (community). Here’s the reference: - **Sahih Muslim**, Book 6, Hadith 1515 (in some editions, it's Hadith 705). This hadith is often discussed in the context of offering flexibility in certain situations, especially when it concerns making religious obligations less burdensome for the community. Scholars have different interpretations about the specific reasons or conditions for combining prayers based on this hadith.

Very informative and detailed lecture. Regarding combing prayers during the state of Hazr (35:36) there are AHadeeth in Sahih Muslim (1633, 1634, 1635, 1636 and 1637) in addition to the reference from Tirmidhi you mentioned in this session.

Qasr is mustahab, its in sunnah, its the default (rewarded for praying 2). Done when travelling. Qasr begins when you travel outside of the walls of the city, you've left the premise of your city. If musafar is praying behind iman, you must follow the iman. If musafar is leading (i.e the iman), you need to pray the four (extra 2 rakat). But to not confuse the congregation, sometimes it's best the iman prays 4. How long do you do qasr for? - A) if you are residing in some place and each day presents possibly of you leaving that day (e.g. In case of war for the sahabat, awaiting when flight will be booked by airline), you can do qasr for as long as needed - B) what about if you know how long you are staying (e.g. 5 days). There are lots of opinions on this (over 20)
Please Dr answer my question that I missed many of my Farz namaz during my school and college days Can I offer my previous Farz namaz after offering my daily present Farz namaz as Qiza namaz
You combine dhuhr and asr and maghrib you can pray with isha fajr is not combined you pray it alone this shortening of prayers is for travellers and you go to a place your mind your not settled your not very comfortable i hope this helps
No you combine dhuhr and asr you can pray dhuhr and asr at the time of dhuhr that is one way or you can pray asr with dhuhr at the time of asr prayer either way as for maghrib you can pray maghrib with isha or pray isha and maghrib at the time of isha whatever works for you as for Fajr you are not suppose to combine it with any prayer it is prayed alone
Absolutely love and respect shaikh yq, but I humbly disagree with the statement that prayers should only be combined if there is an obvious reason. He said that he doesn’t want to open this door. Well, the door was opened by prophet sw himself in the saheeh Hadith he mentioned. I agree that the message should be that the preferred way is not to combine prayers but if someone wants to do it for no apparent reason then he does have the example of prophet sw himself. Of course prophet sw did not combine prayers generally and we should follow that but we can use the ease that prophet sw gave us if we want, otherwise what was the point of prophet sw combining the prayers without a reason.
