Its a holderness thing. People use baited feathers for fishing the piers and walls. 4 or 5 baited hooks means plenty of bait and scent in the water. That's why they had a gripper lead on, fished as you would a standard rig.
Excellent. Thank you for sharing your session with us. At 67 years old, I find a long heavy rod, too awkward to handle. Could you tell me the exact model of Liza's rod please?
Hi. Welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching. She has the Sonik Dominator XS Match 13ft. Liza fishes with the rod in the down position which helps to balance the rod out better. You might find this helps. It's helped her immensely.
@@paulvandermaas6639 Do you know how to get to the wall, at Immingham? Is there a road we need to take? We've seen a couple of UA-camrs but it's not clear how to get there.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 yes, head down S. Marsh road by the power station , off Hobson way. 400 metres down that road, there is a road to the left, heading towards the recycling plant. Ignore the red/green traffic light; that is for the dustbin lorries. Follow that road, the tarmac road ends after 250 metres and is replaced by a pot holed chalk road. You will end up on the sea wall. You can only fish to the left as the sea wall to the right is closed off for sea defence work. Hope this helps. Maybe see you down there :-) Paul
Hi Ian. We went there to check it out on a low tide. Liza is still trying to get the distance, so that mark isn't going to be ideal for her. She's getting better at casting. Lots of rocks and seaweed at the front. Looks like an ideal spot for getting crabs etc for bait. Thanks for watching.
@@DeanPaddison-z3i Hi. Is that in the direction of the Chinese restaurant or the end corner in the opposite direction? All new to us fishing here. We ended up with 7 Flounders and a tiny Whiting, that Liza caught. Tried to make it look like a massive fish for her. Bless her she's still learning to fish.
@@GlennLizaFishingHumber-q9w yeah mate near the old insurance building you can park in the Chinese car park and it's a two minute walk, a lot of people don't like fishing there's because of the empty buildings I love it been fishing there over thirty years 😊
That looked like a great day. Better luck next trip. 👽
It was a good one. Hopefully. The cod are due in around now, so crossing all fingers. Thanks for watching.

I fished it plenty of times myself, down in Dorset. I just didn't expect to see it here.
