The underdog that never lost hope
He didn't get any calls in the finals series
England is my city
Steady Fucking Freddy!
Nick Crompton on me 🤮
Nick Crompton joyner
Credit to Nick Nurse for continuing to play him until he got his rhythm back
Exactly, Vanvleet was MIA the entire Round 1 and Round 2.
All it took was the birth of a child for him to get back
I think we can thank Jeremy Lin for being absolute dogshit in his short regular season Raptors run for that. As bad as FVV was in the games before he broke back out, he was never bad enough to justify playing that bum Lin.
Probably the best coaching decision of the entire 2019 season. Raps don't make it past the Bucks (most likely) or win against GSW without VanVleet. He had a tough start, and the 76ers were a matchup nightmare for him because of their size/length, but dude was LIT in rounds 3 and 4.
Kudos to Coach Nurse.
@@reck0n3r exactly.. Vanvleet did in Rounds 3 and 4 what Danny Green failed to do.
Kawhi: my knee hurt tonight..
Fred: hold my baby
HAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Jaqen Higar Kawhi: Laughs
Oh man that's a good one.
That’s a classic 🤣🤣🤣
Niceee
I'm definitely getting a vanvleet jersey, this guy is an inspiration, a player that wasn't 'blessed' with height or athleticism, he's an underrated, undrafted tough player with a winning mentality
Reminds me of another Raptor PG
His playing style is like currys, just style not ever gonna compare him to curry
@@mohamedyusuf5230 he's steady freddy for a reason, always looking confident and focused, curry runs marathons across screens, fred is more of an iso player
@@TheMoeP freddy, I'm guessing you mean curry. Others worry about getting dominated by players like kd,Kawhi, harden etc... everyone on defense worries about giving an inch to curry.
And heart, they say small player, bigger heart, could never be more true
Never forget that Fred prevents Kawhi from being an unanimous FMVP
DJ Mbenga Finals MVP Kawhi>Le36ron
Dj Mbenga Finals MVP fax LOL
@@le3-6ronlechasingghostslef34 rent free...
@Dj Mbenga Finals MVP THATS SOLD COLD SHIT SON
Le3-6ron LeChasingGhosts LeFlop LeGM LeGroin had to bring up Lebron 🤦🏾♂️
23-Michael Jordan
23-LeBron James
23-Fred VanVleet
wow
hinson 23-Draymo- never mind
Canadian Moose Hunter hahaha. I hunt moose to in Ontario btw.
Pyroman / not anymore
hinson the undrafted goat
@@cytrix1 rofl
This man had his baby and went off💯🤣
Gotta feed his kid tryna get DAT pay 😂
RichLivin Ted Ong😂😂
BABY POWER ACTIVATE
It's really interesting that VanVleet is undrafted
Gökcan Kahraman he gets even more respect
Gökcan Kahraman He faced the same problem a lot of guys do. You can’t teach height. Being a short guy, with a below average wingspan, FVV has to earn everything he has, and did he ever in the finals.
Because of his height. Only elite guys who clearly are super special get drafted high who are very small like cp3
Steady Fucking Freddy!
My name says it all
Notice just how many of these buckets were when the Raptors were down, in a scoring drought, or tied. Fred has been a cool operator since I've been watching him at Wichita State, always hustling hard and never out of control. Playing phenomenal defense on a HOFer, a unanimous mvp, and a 3 time champ while scoring clutch buckets.
Numbers show that Steph scores the fewest points per possession vs ANYONE in the league while guarded by Fred! 12 4th quarter points in a close out championship game 6, that's why he got the MVP vote. Kawhi is better no doubt and he had a better series, but Fred deserves some shine for his stunning work!
playmaka2007 cuz he handchecked curry- something gsw didnt do as much as raps. To be fair, he didnt get as much bodies as steph so dont compare them it’s just dumb, he did his job that’s it.
Jake Lâm and he’s giving him his props, so fall back and take this L
Fred was truly a lifesaver, he is a clutch scorer. When pressured, Fred only becomes better.
Straight facts bro.
This stat is related to the fact that Toronto was playing box and one and Fred was shadowing Curry. Still, he did a good job on that assignment.
i can't believe how well he turned it around after struggling like crazy against philly in the conference semis. a well deserved ring!
Andrew Cloutier those sixers boys are big that’s why
Andrew Cloutier it was his baby he changed him lol
Nick Kerr bucks are even bigger lool
kingrobinho777 sure 6’10 pg
Nick Kerr no but a 6'8 sg rather than a 6'4 sg
I’m a raps fan and this guy was playing some great defense on Steph and he was the x-factor
Jo id W
jo id oh shut up if kevin love and kyrie weren’t injured in 2015 cavs would’ve won, if you guys didn’t injure kawhi in 2016 they would’ve won, warriors are the cheapest team in nba history constantly injuring opponents. have a taste of your own medicine
Deception it was 2017 dumbass. The Dubs would have still won anyways. But if you don’t count the warriors 2015 ring then don’t the raps this year either
Le3-6ron LeChasingGhosts LeFlop LeGM LeGroin which side are you on you dyslexic fuck lmfao stop talking
jo id everyone foreign person is a warriors bandwagon, you can’t even name their president without searching it up #bandwagon, im not even a raps fan, i just know that the warriors are the cheapest team in the nba
I'm not a raptors fan, but this dude gave Curry the business! He also has a very fun name to say!
Nick P. Right? Fred VanYeet
Gave curry the business with the whistle only going one way on the outsides no less
You dont have to they fan
They were playing a box and one. He did a good job tho but it was a team scheme
He should get more acknowledgement
Ye ur right the dude plays hard af
Idk man everytime i saw my man scream like this 0:16 i just feel the emotion of the hype
Look at this, almost every single layup in this video there’s a massive amount of contact. Only once in this video do you hear the whistle blow.
It was the playoffs. Refs are less lenient with soft contacts
Every raptor gets disrespected by the refs
Clay Maurice so many and 1 threes and layups
Vahe T. Ikr especially Fred snd kawhi. Lowry is the only one who gets respected
Shh old heads will still say its soft
Talk about a consistent role clutch player
Jorge Zarate consistent after his son is born lmao
Guy didn't show up for 2 series and he's consistent? lol
Raps United he was coming off a injury before
thats not true or an excuse....he played like shit for 10 straight playoff games scoring 24 total points and its not like he was getting more than 0-1 blocks 1-2 assists 1-2 rebounds and 0-1 steals per game in that time period either....he was playing like shit for a guy that makes 8-9 million...2..4 ppg over 10 games?...had 46 total points in 14 straight playoff games thats 3.29 lol...and again he wasn't shooting or playing well at all.......@@sounddeej3157
@@razkable it was true and is an excuse, you're just ignorant as fuck
Undrafted players always got somethin to prove, Van Fleet is a prime example 💯
Vanfleet is definitely one of my favorite Raptors. The man knows how to get shit done under extreme pressure. MVP in my eyes
Papa Fred coming through in the clutch 🙌🏻
Alot of good clips from the golden state series. Came clutch where they needed it the most. Whatta beast
Yall spelled Fred VanGoat wrong.
sportsman912 xd
he's playing like the Celtics IT even just off the bench.
Alan KS I lowkey miss Isiah Thomas
no way he is LMFAO hes doing good by doing his job and making shots!
Yeah. But Fred does play defense you know.
He plays like JJ Barea 2011
He is a way more clutch and more reliable IT.
Almost 2.5 years later and it still hurts me to watch this team. If Kawhi had stayed they'd have repeated for sure. So so so good.
I'll never forget that Bucks game 5 and that Finals game 6 man. Shit was legendary. That yell after the 3 goes down in Raptors history forever.
It was a pleasure to watch him...VanClutch
Doctor: Shawn Livingston almost poked your eye out
Fred: Put me in the game!
Much respect for this player
No one:
Not a single soul:
Warrior fans: spinning their arms* “iT’s A tRAveL”
Lol and he didn’t even travel you can see that he passed it before he landed
These high arcing shots are just so satisfying to watch.
I think this is why he always gets the lovely bounce on the rim
He real good Fred can be an all star
Been watching him since Wichita State, keep it up Fred!!
Well he got the job done🏆
My man just got paid the big bucks, congrats Fred
Drake + The Game = Fred VanVleet
This dude is gonna be a super star soon. I love his game
BET ON YOURSELF!!! NBA CHAMP 🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️🥂🥂
He is the X Factor
jo id cavs had injuries in 2015 and you guys injured kawhi in 2016, shut the fuck up about injuries you sorry ass pussy
Deception XII ikr
Deception XII honestly, he’s a salty warriors fan.
@jo id shhhhhhhh shhhhh quieett
@jo id saltyyyyy shhhhhh want some some salt with friesss ahahahahahha shhhhhh
That first shot🔥🔥 every time i see that it gives me chills. Undrafted hero puts the team on his back for the biggest shot of his life. What a guy
Watching these highlights puts a smile on my face.
Notice how many shots were late game scenarios with the score tied or really close. My man is clutch. No fear. Klay holding his big balls in game 4 when he makes a turnaround on Kyle. Big deal. FVV has some real nuts
Gotta come back to this video Fred is my favorite player in the league behind Jimmy but man love his game and I love how he’s still playing very well in Toronto
vanvleet is now my favourite player after watching this
Deff a player i will be following from now on! He forced himself into my top 10 fr!
1:33 Curry's reaction when he took the shot 😂😂
OOOOOHH MMMYYYYY GGGOOOOODDDDDD dude you the man
He broke Curry
Check Curry when he sank that late 3 after that. He did a double take, he was noticing his game big time. (you know he's gotta low key respect that)
Just how Freddy did this came from a small city I lived in my brother met him Now he's so good and underrated 815
I’m so happy for him winning the championship, a very underrated player. He reminds me of JJ Barrea, the hustle, mentality and strength of the smallest guy on the floor with the biggest impact.
One of the most underrated player in the league
NBA Playoff legend and NBA All Star
⭐️ Fred VanVleet ⭐️
Fred is from my hometown, Rockford, IL. ..and he has Always been Humble, intelligent Basketball Player that Loves his City !
Happy to have Fred in Houston 🙏☀️ such a great player and professional.
5 Star Point Guard 💫
Always remembering where he came from,"this is for you Rockford"
He’s just a flat out bucket while playing some good defense as well future all star one day
He is more than an all star. A reliable guy when you need him most.
Freed VanVleet, The Curry's nightmare his whole life
@jo id lmfao I'm dead 🤣🤣💀 Why are you salty bruh? Just Hold this Big L in last game in Chokeland, you and all Warriors fans needs Learn lose 🤣🤣
@jo id Nobody says a shit when 2015 finals Warriors beat Cavs When Kyrie and Kevin Love was injured 🤷🏼♂️ so again, Hold this L.
jo id Lmao ya’ll Warriors fans big mad and have to resort to “what ifs”. Ya’ll took a fat ass L. StReNgTh In NuMbErS headasses
@jo id i could've sworn that larry o'brien trophy was real, thanks for spilling the beans on this conspiracy to give the raptors a fake trophy to fool the sheeple
@jo id its their first win ofc people are gonna be hype
Made amazing Playoffseries
Secret of raptors is that fred and Lowry don't turn the ball over like so many guards now.
Vanvleet reminds me of Khalid El - Amin who used to play for Uconn and a few years in the NBA. Both small dudes but also both play really hard.
Keep up the good work Fred!!
Big fan of Kawhi, but I could totally see Freddy win FMVP
He so *Underrated*
Freddy!!!! Love his game.
Even though I'm younger, taller and more athletic than him I still see him as the most inspiring player next to Kawhi, can't wait to get his Jersey.
Literally at the very beginning of the year I called he was gonna be a big factor and a underdog on the raptors
mad hesi game with the change pace!!! getting buckets!
He is so good!!!!
Love that dude
After watching this again, I'm excited for basketball to come back
Can't wait for playoff Vanleet
knowing i grew up in his hometown is an amazing thing 🙂
what a guy
really stepped up in game 6
Who else lives in Rockford like fred did🔥
Sparkk right here 🖐🏽
he’s so nice
These are pivotal points here. Almost all of them were key points, at key times in the game that would make or break it. He ran so pure, he felt it and the rush didn't stop. He'll be the best undrafted player in the NBA's history by the end of his career. He's an inspiration to a generation of misfit underdog kids out there that will grind it out because they know it can be done.
This team is full of underdogs, this team works so well together they are gonna fuck shit up if they stick together
love this guy along with Ibaka and Gasol. quietly doing it. they would have beaten GS with Durrant. this is the best team ever with humility like players.
This highlight is mostly in the 4thQ, insane!
Didn’t expect to see any highlights from FVV from that Philly series, but that steal on Embiid was sweeet
There really should have been some defensive highlights. I have not seen anyone like him ever before. Truly a great player.
Ahhh the good old days
Steady Freddy was a BEAST in the finals.
Been a huge fan of his since he was at Wichita State
I remember watching him at WSU and going to the games knowing he was going somewhere!
My boi💯💪🏻
Respect
This man has become a big part of the Raptors Championship run
Can someone make a compilation of every time Toronto gets that lucky rim bounce, I swear it happened a million times this season 😂
D F honestly so true. Also not only at home games but on away games too
Love this dude! He is short, not very athletic, not so fast but very smart with a great fundamentals, creates his own phase, great play making, solid defense n he can score that ball if he needs to... Also reminds me Raptors legend Damon The Mighty Mouse Stoudamire. Greetings from İstanbul Fred!
Even if kawhi leaves Toronto has some good players that's going to grow into stars..
Stay up Toronto its not over yet
Can only think of only one guy that could be a star and its Siakam.
Sean Paul Magbanua lowry and gasol, and ibaka. Vanvleet and OG have potential
Sean Paul Magbanua I can tell you you’re damn right, siakam is absolutely popping off right now
My man vanvleet 🙌🙌
Fred was INCREDIBLE in the finals.
These plays are the pure definition of “it’s not how many you make, it’s when you make them”
Beast
He’s playing like a man who knows one day he’ll be showing his kids the highlights.
if there is only one award for the six man of the postseason award he will get it
The goat
Freeeeeedddddyyyyyyy he’s gon be an all star these next few years
FVV deserved atleast one finals MVP vote
He got one vote from Hubie Brown.
Underrated.
He was the deciding factor
That 2019 team looks better and better as time goes on.
Gasol - multi time all star, former DPOY
Kawhi - multi time all star, multi time DPOY, 2 time FMVP
Lowry - multi time all star, GROAT Raptor
Pascal - MIP, all star, had one down year but now playing better than his All NBA/All Star season
Green - probably the weakest link in the lineup through playoffs tbh but had some carry moments in the regular season that helped get us homecourt advantage, still fantastic defender
FVV - has become a do it all all star
Ibaka - multi all defense, had his overall best years in Toronto and was pivotal in the championship
Norman Powell - became a high quality starter that basically any team would love to have
Boucher - became a pretty damn good back up big
Vanvleet and Siakim will be the future of toronto
Guaranteed
