I would like to draw your attention on a scripture, which is found in the Book of John 3: 13, where Jesus told Nicodemus, no man has ascended into heaven but the one who descended from heaven, The Son of Man, (who is Jesus). Enoch as a prophet of God, prophesied that God was going to excecute his judgement against those who refused to obey Him. Such statement caused him a lot of hostility from his enemies. In the Book of Hebrew 11: 5 says that Enoch was transferred so as not to see death, and he was nowhere to be found. God made his body disappear, the same way he did, with Moses’ body.
Concerning Elijah; 2 King 2:11 says Elijah ascended to the heavens in the windstorm. Windstorm could only exist, where there is an atmosphere, so it should be understood as a physical heaven, which means that he was raised up from his companion Elisha’s sight, who he was walking with. Elijah was tranferred by God to avoid being persecuted by his enemies. Elijah did not die then, many years later as a prophet, he wrote a letter to King Jeroham condemning his idolatrous behaviour. Besides, Elijah was also known to disappear/teleport (see 1 Kings 18:12)
Conclusion: As Jesus mentioned in the Book of John 3:13. Neither Enoch, nor Elijah, nor Abraham, nor anybody else have been raised to heaven, before Jesus.
@@ifektivenigerian1532 Elijah and Enoch were not taken up to the third heaven...they were taken to "shamayim". While we translate this as "heaven", it is more appropriate to call it a "pleasant place". Jesus, Himself, spoke about it - recall the "Bosom of Abraham". No one ascended to heaven before Jesus Christ. Before Jesus, people would reside in Abraham's Bosom...a "pleasant place", right next to Sheol. Jesus released these people and took them to heaven upon being raised, Himself (by The Father). God saw that there was a sinless being in Hell, and he was released. Good call-out, and comment - God bless you.
(John 3:13)13 And (no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven), even the Son of man which is in heaven. Anyone who died and was saved before Jesus died on the cross went to the grave (Abraham's bosom) (Luke 16:23, 23:43). And then was taken to Heaven in the resurrection.
The difference is the word “ascended.” No man can ascend to heaven “by his own accord” but God can take him to heaven like He did with Isaiah, then bring him back to earth. So it is still biblically accurate that this verse is correct and that the two men were taken according to God’s will for a later purpose since they cannot ascend.
There are other scriptures that need to be understood when looking at this subject. Heb 9:27 So, did Enoch and Elijah physically die or spiritually die. 1Jn3:14 We have passed from DEATH unto LIFE. I think the Malachi 4:9 connected what was revealed in the Revelation that a man of God along with other believers will be commissioned during great tribulation sharing the gospel to the remaining humans on earth..
@ John 3:1-8 You Must Be Born Again 3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Here is a counter argument about Enoch, Moses and Elijah - It is inconceivable that Moses and Elijah, or any other of the saints of God, should return from Paradise to suffer as these two witnesses; Moses died - it is appointed for man once to die. Hebrews 9:27 ALL MEN have this mandate. Otherwise this scripture is untrue. Elijah Died - Elijah was taken up by the whirlwind into “the heaven”, (shemayim in Hebrew which means the visible sky. The Hebrew word "shamayim" primarily refers to the heavens or the sky. It is used in the Bible to describe the physical expanse above the earth, including the atmosphere and outer space.) Shemayim can mean the dwelling of God however because of the context of 2 Chronicles 21:12-15 , This usage means the visible sky which was the common usage of this term. Elijah wrote a letter to King Jehoram 10 years later. (2 Chronicles 21: 12-15. ). This was after the firey chariot incident. He was taken to another location the same as Phillip was in Acts chapter 8, Elijah then was able to write the letter personally at the time of Jehoram’s sin and have it delivered through a courier. Enoch died but did not perceive his death. Hebrews 11:5 says that he was translated ( metatithemi in Greek) which primarily means to transfer or change the position of something. This word is used three times in this verse; twice for translated and once for "taken up". "He would not see death..." the word "see" is the Greek word horaó which means to perceive. If you were on your death bed, you would perceive that death was near. The same if you were wounded unto death. You would perceive it. Enoch was changed over without the perception of death. BUT HE DIED. How do we know? Enoch is listed in the "hall of faith" in Hebrews 11:5 If you read further down to Hebrews 11:13 the scripture says this: "THESE ALL DIED in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." "ALL" means ALL. The scripture is clear. So to say that Enoch didn't die would be erroneous. But if someone wants to believe that Enoch and Elijah were taken to heaven to be with God... (even though the scripture plainly says; in John 3:13 And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. AND... "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" 1 Corinthians 15:50) they are certainly free to do so. As far as a literal interpretation of the two witnesses, Revelation 1:1 says; "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and SIGNIFIED it by His angel to His servant John" Signified is the Greek word sémainó which means a sign or symbol. So we can understand it this way; " He symbolized it by His servant John." So we are supposed to read Revelation symbolically. Traditions can really mess up your understanding. "Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding." Proverbs 4:7
Yes those are my exact thoughts after extensive research. Besides, If men can enter heaven in their flesh or by their works then the death of Jesus would mean nothing, there would be no reason for Jesus to come, yet all have sinned.
Yes. I’ve always said as Enoch was taken before the flood so the church will be taken before the tribulation. Noah and his family represent Israel that will go through the tribulation. His Ark resting upon the highest mountain, also represents Israel becoming the chief nation above all other mountains or nations.
How would Nicodemus have understood Jesus's statement on a background of the words written in Deuteronomy 30:11-14 (which Paul referenced in Romans 9). What would be your best speculation?
That Enoch and Elijah could be the two witnesses to come sounds interesting. Jesus called John the Baptist the Elijah to come and the Transfiguration seems like Moses and Elijah showed up in immortal bodies, so I am inclined to think these two themselves are not the witnesses come. But we will recognize the witnesses by the comparison to Moses and Elijah, if we are willing.
They did not show up in immortal bodies. The Bible says only God has immortality. And immortality will be granted to the church in the resurrection. Not Enoch and Elijah.
@ They are dead. Read Hebrews 11. It mentions them and said “these all died in faith.” I one can enter into the presence of God until Jesus made his sacrifice.
@Sirach144 From the context of the discussion, everyone knows you mean Heaven by "the presence of God", even though everyone who has faith is in God's presence as illustrated by the Tabernacle God had the Israelis make in the desert. What is meant by dead? For "to Him all are alive" (Luke 20:38).
@ I am well versed on the typology of the Tabernacle. No one was allowed in the most holy ever. Only the high priest. The high priest has to make atonement for the people. When the veil was torn that’s when mankind had access to God. If Enoch and Elijah were allowed into the antitypical most holy (heaven) then they were allowed to enter before the antitypical high priest (Jesus) made atonement and therefore Jesus wouldn’t have had to die at all. We could all just go to heaven and that be it. But Jesus had to die before the antitypical veil would be torn and officially give mankind access to God.
I always thought it would be Enoch and Elijah, since their physical bodies did not experience death, and the 2 witnesses will die and be displayed in the street… just my thoughts though
There are three heavens. First, second and Third heaven. Enoch and Elijah, likely went to the Second heaven, instead of the Third, where God is. Why? Because neither died, at the time. They eventually did, however, but not at the time, they both were taken away.
Enoch was a member of the seventh generation from Adam. During this time, the fallen angels sinned with the woman on earth, which led to God needing to flood the earth to rid it of the violent Nephilim. Enoch is another type of "rapture" picture-God snatching us away before judgement (The Tribulation).
The prevailing theory is they are the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation 11. Many refuse to believe it because they were taken to heaven before Jesus crucified and therefore are not cleansed of His blood from sin but God is outside of time (God created time) and Jesus sacrifice is for past and future sinners who believe in Him. God in Genesis mentioned an heir would come to crush the serpent head (first prophecy of Jesus) and many old believers would believe God has a plan to save them due to this verse. And since Isaiah was taken briefly to heaven to witness God’s Glory and how filthy he was and the fallen angel is mentioned he visits God to challenge Him about Job then it is reasonable to assume when God has a reason to do something, it is His Will to do as He pleases which includes taking two men who worship and have faith in Him to heaven alive till a appointed time then return to fulfill His purpose.
Explaining the "two witnesses" Elijah & John the Apostle. Malachi 4:5 KJV Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: ---- This explains Elijah John was the only Apostle that was not marytr'd, his death is a mystery. He was "taken up" without fanfare before death. He will be martry'd when the "two witnesses' are killed. John 21:22-23 NIV (NIV explains this clearer than KJV) Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.” Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. ---- This verse was speaking of the Apostle John Rev 10:11 KJV And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. ---- John was being told this in Rev 10, the chapter just before Rev 11. Hope this helps some see the "two witnesses" are Elijah & John the Apostle (PROPHET)

@@ClintonBrownell The Apostle John is not coming back as one of the two witnesses. As for Malachi 4:5, Jesus Himself said Elijah had come (thus this Scripture is fulfilled), but the people did not recognize him. Apparently still do not. If Elijah turns the heart of a father to his children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, then may an Elijah show up in every community of people.
For the longest time I thought these two were the "two witnesses". But only one is, Elijah. The other witness is John the Apostle. These are confirmed in Scripture. Also, I do believe that the Apostle John was also taken up before death but without any fanfare, or mention in the Bible. (PROPHET)
That's so funny. I can always count on GotQuestions to have no clue. Have you considered that, if they went to Heaven, they would have done that without a savior. So there would have been no reason for Jesus to come. Yet, all have sinned, so they needed a savior.
Have you never read that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. What happened on a Roman cross some 2000 years ago was a shadow of a much more real thing already true in Heaven.
@@deanfry879 You don't understand a tenth of what Revelation says but you say you understand this complicated verse. The answer: The phrase "from the foundation of the world" can refer to: - The Lamb who was slain - Those who are in the book of life Which makes more sense to you? God knew who would be in the Book of Life from the beginning.
There has never lived a man that did not die. All men are imperfect and therefore subject to death. Only Adam and Jesus were perfect, yet even they died. Adam for his disobedience and Jesus to sacrifice his perfect human life. The Bible does not say that either of these men, Enoch or Elijah, went to heaven. There was no provision for anyone being taken to heaven until Christ died, paid the price and opened the way for those to be in heaven with him. He alone is "the first fruit' of those that would follow him to serve in heaven. The account in Genesis simply says God "took " Enoch. It does not say he went anywhere. Obviously, God removed him from whatever situation was going on at the time (it was an incredibly wicked world), allowing him to die. Elijah was "transferred". He was taken up in a fiery chariot, simply being moved to another location as his work was finished and God was now going to use Elisha. The word heaven does not mean the spirit realm in this instance, but simply the sky above us. Elijah even wrote letters back to King Jehoram! (2 Chronicles 21:12-15) Jesus is the final authority on whether anyone went to heaven. He stated: "No one has ascended into heaven except he that descended from heaven, the Son of Man". (John 3:13) That is the Lord himself saying plainly that neither of those faithful men went to heaven.
@deanfry879 I’ll try to be brief, though Elijah requires a little hashing out. For Enoch: Read Hebrews 11. It talks about things that God did through the faith of his servants, such as Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, and Enoch. Verse 13 says, “All of these died in faith, without receiving the promises…” They all died, including Enoch. For Elijah: Elijah disappeared just before the new king, Jehoram, came into power this was 849 BC and Jehoshaphat died four years later in the year of 845 BC and a different son after that with the same name as Jehoram took reign and what happens next god uses Elijah to write a letter and have it sent to the king from the wording of the letter it's clear that Elijah wrote it after these events had occurred because he speaks of them as past events and of the disease being in the future this proves that the letter was written in the fifth year after Elijah had been taken to another location by the whirlwind. As a blanket statement, Jesus said in John 3:13: “And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.” Jesus would not make such a claim if it weren’t true.
@@deanfry879 For Enoch: In Hebrews 11, you can read how God used the faith of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah. Verse 13 says: *_“All these died in faith,_* not having received the things promised…” This shows that Enoch did in fact die. Furthermore, Jesus Himself said in John 3:13 that, “no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.” As long as you believe what Jesus said there, you can’t assume that Elijah or Enoch were in Heaven, undead, at that time.

That didn't explain anything. The reason God took them up alive is because Satan still has ownership of our souls being the keys of death and hell was in hell. If God wanted them in heaven he would have to send Jesus before his time to be a sacrifice. Our souls are tethered to her bodies so the simplest way to bring them to heaven was to keep them alive and bypassing Paradise and hell altogether. It wasn't until Jesus paying the price and retrieved the keys of death and hell. Those in Paradise were released into heaven.
Anyone can go to heaven (air) without dying, just buy a plane ticket. Some people have gone into heaven (space) in a rocket. Apparantly some landed on the moon. But such things weren't available at the time of Enoch and Elijah. They didn't go the third heaven where God dwells, nor has anyone else but Christ himself. John 3.13 Hebrews 11:39-40 1 Cor 15.22-23

ENOCH AND ELIJAH ARE THE SAME PERSON. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS. IT'S TRUE. ELIJAH HAD NO KNOWN PARENTS. HE CAME DOWN THE SAME WAY HE WENT BACK UP. ENOCH WAS GIVEN A NEW NAME BY GOD BEFORE BEING SENT BACK DOWN; AS ELIJAH. THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO THIS TRUTH
@deanfry879 Bible; Book of Enoch; book of Jasher; Kabbalah There are early Jewish writings that suggests that Elijah was an angel because there was no known origin and/or parents. And also that he just came down from heaven like an angel. Remember when Elisha was getting ribbed about his master flying away? Doesn't it seem odd that they would all know that he was going to fly away the way he did, and that it wasn't surprising to all of them? And speaking of Elisha, would you believe that Enoch's second child, right after Methuselah, was named.... that's right: Elisha. There's soooo much more
@@michaelnewton3506 It does appear when Elijah was about to be taken up that it was common knowledge considering how the company of the prophets kept mentioning it to Elisha as they traveled from town to town. Methuselah had a brother named Elisha. So what? The book of Numbers mentioned a woman named Noah. There are a number of people mentioned who had the same name as someone more famous. I do not know of any reason why Elisha might not have been a rather common name, like Elijah is today. Even Jesus is a rather common name in countries that don't speak English.
@@deanfry879 I completely understand your scepticism. The fact that the departures of both men from the earth were in many ways identical is also very intriguing. But I agree with you, all of these could just be strange anomalies. However, when you finish this truth out with Enoch's own words, there's really no other option. First, he says at one point, that he will not be remembered, but will be as one forgotten. When Enoch has his vision of weeks, I believe it's chapter 89, he describes the sheep that represents Elijah, and he sees it "coming back to himself" after his ministry is concluded. I've been studying the two witnesses for over 50 years. Believe it or not, Jude 9 is what actually opened this all up!! It makes much more sense, God having one man, not two, not taste death and sending that one man, the original prophet, three times to earth. At the beginning, middle, and then at the end.
They didn’t. He took them into the sky. Man cannot enter into the presence of God without dying. Jesus also hadn’t died therefore sinful man could not go to heaven until Jesus provided the sacrifice.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have an interesting take on this. We believe that these men came down from heaven to restore the keys of the priesthood, which had been lost to the passage of time, to the earth through Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery to help prepare the world for the Second Coming. Moses restored the keys of the gathering of Isreal, Elias the keys of the Abrahamic covenant, Elijah the keys of sealing authority. D&C 11, Joseph Smith-History 1: As for Enoch we have his story in Moses 6 and 7 of the Pearl of Great Price, saying he built a city named Zion in which everyone was taken to heaven, which is commonly believed to be the city which is said to come down in Revelations 3:12 and 21:2
Jesus ascended to heaven after He resurrected. He was in His original body which was now full of holes and tears. God states they did not die but were taken to heaven. It's possible that God changed their form when they got to heaven since our earthly bodies have not been resurrected. He states the death of practically everyone in the Bible but these two were spared their body from decay, pain and disease. That is a show of how God loves the righteous and He blesses those who love and obey Him.
@ The scripture says nowhere that Elijah was taken to heaven. He is in the grave awaiting to be resurrected. He is in paradise, in Abraham’s bosom. That is what the scripture says.

Enoch is listed in the "hall of faith" in Hebrews 11:5 If you read further down to Hebrews 11:13 the scripture says this:
"THESE ALL DIED in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."
"ALL" means ALL.
AND...
"Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" 1 Corinthians 15:50)
they are certainly free to do so.
As far as a literal interpretation of the two witnesses, Revelation 1:1 says;
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and SIGNIFIED it by His angel to His servant John"
Signified is the Greek word sémainó which means a sign or symbol. So we can understand it this way; " He symbolized it by His servant John." So we are supposed to read Revelation symbolically.
Traditions can really mess up your understanding.
"Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding."
Proverbs 4:7
Yes those are my exact thoughts after extensive research. Besides, If men can enter heaven in their flesh or by their works then the death of Jesus would mean nothing, there would be no reason for Jesus to come, yet all have sinned.
Elijah’s ascension into heaven is also seen as a foreshadowing or type of the Rapture (Harpazo) of the church.
Yes. I’ve always said as Enoch was taken before the flood so the church will be taken before the tribulation. Noah and his family represent Israel that will go through the tribulation. His Ark resting upon the highest mountain, also represents Israel becoming the chief nation above all other mountains or nations.
Pre tribulation is a lie from hell

Got questions can you explain (John 3:13)... no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven).
How would Nicodemus have understood Jesus's statement on a background of the words written in Deuteronomy 30:11-14 (which Paul referenced in Romans 9). What would be your best speculation?
Can you explain Acts 8:39-40 ?
That Enoch and Elijah could be the two witnesses to come sounds interesting. Jesus called John the Baptist the Elijah to come and the Transfiguration seems like Moses and Elijah showed up in immortal bodies, so I am inclined to think these two themselves are not the witnesses come. But we will recognize the witnesses by the comparison to Moses and Elijah, if we are willing.
They did not show up in immortal bodies. The Bible says only God has immortality. And immortality will be granted to the church in the resurrection. Not Enoch and Elijah.
@Sirach144 Enoch and Elijah are the physical prophecy of the resurrection.
@
They are dead.
@
I am well versed on the typology of the Tabernacle.
Moses and Elijah are the two witnesses of revelation based on the type of miracles they performed
I always thought it would be Enoch and Elijah, since their physical bodies did not experience death, and the 2 witnesses will die and be displayed in the street… just my thoughts though
does this contradict john 3:13
Google says the pronunciation is E knock, not E nook. Or am I missing something here? Anything related to foreign languages perhaps?
Where is the answer
There are three heavens. First, second and Third heaven. Enoch and Elijah, likely went to the Second heaven, instead of the Third, where God is. Why? Because neither died, at the time. They eventually did, however, but not at the time, they both were taken away.
Enoch was a member of the seventh generation from Adam. During this time, the fallen angels sinned with the woman on earth, which led to God needing to flood the earth to rid it of the violent Nephilim. Enoch is another type of "rapture" picture-God snatching us away before judgement (The Tribulation).
Yes. And Noah represents Israel that will go through the tribulation
So what is Enoch and Elijah doing in heaven?
Malachi 4:5 KJV
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
---- This explains Elijah
John was the only Apostle that was not marytr'd, his death is a mystery. He was "taken up" without fanfare before death. He will be martry'd when the "two witnesses' are killed.
John 21:22-23 NIV (NIV explains this clearer than KJV)
Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.” Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die.
---- This verse was speaking of the Apostle John
Rev 10:11 KJV
And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
---- John was being told this in Rev 10, the chapter just before Rev 11.
Hope this helps some see the "two witnesses" are Elijah & John the Apostle

John 21:21-22 KJV
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

The answer:
The phrase "from the foundation of the world" can refer to:
- The Lamb who was slain
- Those who are in the book of life
Which makes more sense to you? God knew who would be in the Book of Life from the beginning.
@stanburton3719 There had to be a sacrifice for sin to create the Book of Life.
@@deanfry879 What!?! You are raving. It's just a list and likely a metaphorical list. Does God need a sacrifice to remember things?
@stanburton3719 Not to remember things, to pay for sin
(2 Chronicles 21:12-15)
Jesus is the final authority on whether anyone went to heaven. He stated: "No one has ascended into heaven except he that descended from heaven, the Son of Man". (John 3:13) That is the Lord himself saying plainly that neither of those faithful men went to heaven.

If Enoch and Elijah walked faithfully with God, then why couldn’t either one of them took Jesus’s place?
Because they were still of the seed of Adam and had the sin nature in them.
@ How could God have taken them, if Jesus wasnt crucified yet?
@LemLures why couldn't he do that? Jesus atonement didn't only apply in the present, future. It also applies in the pasy
Cant God just take people as he pleases without us questioning it? They werent meant to take Jesus's place
The Atonement is a fact of eternity, not just time, and can be applied to the past.
No man hath ascended. No mortal man. Flesh cannot enter. Jesus, Enoch, Aligiah, were immortal spirits before entering heaven.
Respectfully, I do believe that both died. Intriguing video nonetheless
Okay, but why do you believe that? Keeping a couple of people alive is a lot easier than raising Jesus from the dead, so power can't be the issue.
@deanfry879 I’ll try to be brief, though Elijah requires a little hashing out.
For Enoch:
Read Hebrews 11. It talks about things that God did through the faith of his servants, such as Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, and Enoch. Verse 13 says, “All of these died in faith, without receiving the promises…” They all died, including Enoch.
For Elijah:
Elijah disappeared just before the new king, Jehoram, came into power this was 849 BC and Jehoshaphat died four years later in the year of 845 BC and a different son after that with the same name as Jehoram took reign and what happens next god uses Elijah to write a letter and have it sent to the king from the wording of the letter it's clear that Elijah wrote it after these events had occurred because he speaks of them as past events and of the disease being in the future this proves that the letter was written in the fifth year after Elijah had been taken to another location by the whirlwind.
As a blanket statement, Jesus said in John 3:13: “And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.” Jesus would not make such a claim if it weren’t true.
@@deanfry879 For Enoch:
In Hebrews 11, you can read how God used the faith of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah.

The two witnesses are mentioned in Revelation, that they will be killed and their bodies will lie in the street for 3 days.

Kind Sir...The true God Almighty, is NOT limited (atoll)! Please read this in Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
And see what St Peter said in this...2 Peter 3:8 Beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years (On Earth) is one day (In Heaven).

What are the sources you used for your research? I am especially interested in how Elijah was a Jew if he had no known parents.
@deanfry879 Bible; Book of Enoch; book of Jasher; Kabbalah
There are early Jewish writings that suggests that Elijah was an angel because there was no known origin and/or parents.
Read the scripture again !!! Don't be DECEIVED !!!
D&C 11, Joseph Smith-History 1:
As for Enoch we have his story in Moses 6 and 7 of the Pearl of Great Price, saying he built a city named Zion in which everyone was taken to heaven, which is commonly believed to be the city which is said to come down in Revelations 3:12 and 21:2

Of course they died. The scripture is clear. As is The Lord Jesus Christ. This is a devil posing as an angel of light.
@nickma71 Alrighty then. I guess we'll learn the truth in heaven. Thankfully it's not a major issue to divide over.
