    Yes, it worth it as long as you get 6k off from the dealer floor, like I did. 😅
    It is so good, wife loves it and I am happy with it. So many features.
    If you are keeping it for a long time, please do an oil change @ first 1k miles (Making sure all broken in metals particles are out of there), then @ 5k and then every 5k. Make sure engine is warmed up before leaving, specifically in cold weathers. This turbo engines need care. Oil is cheap, engines and turbos are not.

      Thanks for sharing and congrats on your new car. RX 500h really did exceed my expectation for the Lexus. I do agree on trying to either figure out a way to negotiate a heavy discount or buy a demo model. This is what I saw in our local dealer here in Los Angeles. The problem is Lexus doesn't bring cars in high volumes like in the past except for the base RX 350, so negotiations can get tough

    Wanna say that I really like the FOV of your cabin camera. It gives a nice, full view--center and sides. Very enjoyable discussion as well. Kudos.

    I have a 2023 RX350 and I daily it everyday and it’s buttery smooth and quick! I use to get fast cars and fast cars get annoying and I guess I am growing up but this RX is a comfy easy and buttery ride.

      Thanks for sharing. Yep new RX350 is a very smooth car and what I liked about it - it is very stable and has good handling capabilities compare to older model.

    100% YES! if you plan on keeping this car for a long time... YES! the 350h is LETHARGIC and FEELS like just a bigger RAV 4 / NX Hybrid....

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  Рік тому +2

      Yep, well said. As for the platform it does feel more solid than RAV4, but engine wise it feels like they could do something more, but I guess they didn't have to as they made RX500h. Here in SoCal many dealers had Demo RX500h, so you could get good $5-6K off MSRP on a nicely loaded Demo RX500h. Worth exploring.

      In December 2022 I purchased a 2023 RX350h; fine car….comfortable, “pretty”. The performance, however, left me wanting more. Three months after purchase, the sales person called and asked how I like the RX350h; I replied that I am fine with it but wish I had waited for the 500h. That’s when the idea of trading up entered the conversation! In September, I turned in my new car for a newer car. Absolutely no regrets! More power, better handling,”prettier”. I am a happy Lexus owner.

      Thanks a lot for your kind words. I really loved new RX 500h. I did briefly mentioned RX350h but didn’t really compare it. RX 500h feels more premium with more power, more upscale interior materials. RX 350h feels premium but it’s drone like engine doesn’t deliver premium feel as RX 500h does. At the end it depends if you ready to pay $70K + for Lexus RX500h or RX350h fits the need.

    Question. On a 1700 mile trip how many times would I have to fill with gas!

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  10 місяців тому

      Considering you will maintain MPG claimed for Lexus RX500h which is about 27mpg, then Total range on full tank will be roughly 460 miles. For 1700 miles it will be 3.6 or basically 4 fill ups.

      Yep, RX 500h is very well crafted by Lexus. It feel quite premium and I love how they put conventional 6 speed transmission and paired it all with turbo and hybrids. Also feels quite upscale inside.

    would you get this or the BMW X3 M40i if you don't take price and size into consideration, just base on drive, ride, comfort, luxury feel?

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  Рік тому +1

      A year ago I would say 100% would take X3 M40i. Since now we have X3 M40i and I like it as a driver for sure over any Lexus including RX 500h, but for the family in recent years comfort has become a bigger priority. While firm cars were fine before and we had 4 series convertible with firm M Sport suspension, but now X3 M40i feels firmer for longer journeys and at low speeds on bumpy roads, sometimes when you are tired it feels even crashy. If you want to stay in BMW lineup then I highly recommend going with X5 if comfort is also important. As far as Lexus RX 500h I did like it and I think I would enjoy driving it now with a family. I will soon be renting new X5 and hopefully X5 50e to see which one I would choose RX 500h or new X5. I hope this helps to answer your question.

      @@100miledrive So basically this is better than the BMW X3M40i only if you're tired and want to lay in bed while driving home? I'm having a hard time paying more for a Lexus than for a BMW, especially the M40i.

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  9 місяців тому +1

      @@jacobstrouble6631 :) I think my comment sounds confusing in some way. Let's say out of 7 days in the week I would take 5 days BMW X3 M40i and 2 days RX 500h when I just want to cruise in absolute comfort. I still like BMW more because it is exciting, it's not boring. My wife kind of adjusted now especially after replacing run-flats with regular tires on X3 M40i. If I had only RX 500h I would probably get bored quickly and would look for an additional car like Miata or 3 series which I could enjoy actually driving. I also cannot justify paying close to $80K for Lexus even though it's good quality product. if I were to buy RX 500h I would look for a demo vehicle which would be around $66K for a loaded one with few thousand miles.

      450h is something I will try to get hopefully soon. It will be interesting to see and compare. I think the level of premium feel in RX 500h would be hard to beat.

    Prices for new Lexuses are ridiculously high.
    500h costs the same as Mercedes GLE 450, or Audi Q7 55. Around $80k.
    And rivals have 3.0 v6 engines. Though RX is nice, but I'd definitely choose Mercedes or Audi, because they are just much nicer.

    • @100miledrive
      @100miledrive  10 місяців тому

      Absolutely agree! It is hard to wrap head around the idea of buying Lexus RX500h for $80K. But I think with RX500h they are trying to make a statement that they can build more luxurious car with a premium experience.

    No, don't go to the dark side and get a family SUV - stay with your X3 M40i or heck, even go upmarket and get a Porsche Cayenne. You need a sporty SUV... Never give in!

      I would say it's about the same starting price for both at least here in US. And I know it's kind of hard to accept the fact that it can go up to $80K for RX
