Yeah I’d love to have the confidence in front of the camera like you do. Nice upgrade for the brakes on that would be VW11 callipers and vented discs once you warp the hell out of these ones 😂 Great vid mate 👍🏻
Yeah have been keeping my eye out for some but seem few and far between at the moment, needed to get slightly better brakes just for the time being 😂 Just go for it mate, don’t forget that the many bad takes, stutters and mess ups are all just edited out... only the good bits make the video 😂 make sure you subscribe to keep up to date and I will put some outtakes in a video shortly for you
Just a tip for anyone doing this.....you may aswell check your hub nut it tightened enough while you have the wheels off. When I bought my mk3 I noticed a drop in brake performance, grinding noises at first on corners then all the time. Turned out the hub nut had come loose (which it can easily) and that was causing all the issues. May aswell check while the wheel is off peeps
Cool video!.. Best practice to rub down the disc mating surface of the hub, can end up with brakes feeling like they’re warped with build up of rust/paint. Get some fresh brake fluid in them as well 😎🏁
Nice one, definitely a good upgrade. What spray did you use to clean/refresh the brake? Are you planning on restoring the car to showroom condition or will you change any bodywork, colours, wraps etc?
Used a black vht paint to make them a tad more presentable due to the actual calliper etc being rather orange and rusty, certainly no pro job but tidies it up nicely😂 then just brake cleaner for a final wipe down to remove any oils!
Cheers mate glad you’re enjoying, hopefully she will end up a nice little car 👍🏼 yeah I have heard that actually, are they the same as VW2 brakes? Going to keep my eye out for a set of either! Make sure you subscribe to stay up to date

Just bought myself a 1994 polo breadvan boulevard in the limited edition Green... I'm going to need this channel 😂
My caliper bolts did exactly the same, I ended up bashing a 12mm socket from an old socket set on it, works a treat now, I got a mk2 bready
I did vwll and mk2 golf gti rear disc conversion on mine. The mk4 golf rear disc setup is a better choice

why not go g40 brakes?
Why is it always the last bolt you have trouble with. They either snap or round off.
Haha mate honestly, this happened again taking all my suspension off on my latest video 😂 go check it out!
6n breaks fit straight on, =vented brakes. Looks mega clean, loving the vids 👍🏼
