    Just picked up a 1.05 4speed 1993 polo coupe genesis in Indian metallic red recently and its one of the most fun little cars I've owned and driven!! the loud exhaust, banded G60 steelies and arch flares help add extra giggles tbh 🤭

      Fair enough mate.
      It just seems more logical (in my situation) to either swap the engine for 1,6 16v from a next get polo or try supercharging due how uncommon if not for a better word rare they are in my area/country :V.
      Also whats the fun in having pre-built lego :D

    I have a mk2 facelift . The brakes are excellent I had a mk1 and they really weren 't powerfull ( the front pads weren't much bigger than a postage stamp ! ) BUT they made you drive defensively ie keep your speed down and drive at a safe distance which benefits everybody

    Your car is my car's twin! (Steel blue coupe) Anyway 3:42 A good brake upgrade are VW2 callipers, vented discs and braded hoses. You might want to consider a Passat master cylinder. Just check the brakes will fit under your wheels. 4:23 The heater shoud be really good, even on a cold day. Check it doesn't need bleeding. The fan only working on 3 is the resistor. You can get it rewound with new wire for around a tenner. 11:05 I'd get a rear wiper refitted, the rear window gets covered in crap very quickly on a wet day! 12:04 I have GT2 seats, they actually sit lower than the Polo ones, and are slightly wider. Also check your sunroof for leaks. The drain holes can block and then rot out, giving you a wet interior. 12:38 How are the foam seals in your cold vents? If you do a video on how to fix this that would be great. Also I'd be interested to see how you fix the pull handle on the rear seat squabs.

    • @matimcfetridge
      @matimcfetridge  4 роки тому

    have you tried linseed oil on bumpers? The plastic dries out over time, products like back to black add a layer of stuff and don't work too well but if you rub some linseed oil into them after cleaning them thoroughly, best done on a warm day (bumper has to be 100% dry) it will soak into the plastic and revitalise it, you can do it a few times for the best effect, or put loads on and wipe it off later. works on all the exterior plastics, I do mine about twice a year and it makes a massive difference to the look of the car even with all the scuffed corners :)
