Now we can install macOS Big Sur on Ryzentosh. This guide will show you everything you need to get your Ryzen PC running Big Sur.

Wonderful guide. I can confirm that my mackintosh works smoothly with few app specific exceptions (e.g., STATA). My build: 3950x, Vega 56, AsRock Taichi X570, Samsung 970 Evo. Note that 1. you do not need Nvmefix for the SSD, but you do have to update its firmware first. 2. Taichi literally just posted a new firmware update (3.8 I think) the day before this video is posted. I used 3.61 (as in the video) anyway just to make sure that everything would work. 3. During the multiple reboots during installation, I never had to (or even got a chance to) to choose anything, it automatically booted into the correct options. If it happens to you, there is no need to freak out.
I had a running Big Sur system but just for giggles I did your guide and it worked perfect, always good to keep up with the latest guides.

I've followed your precedent video on the Taichi board a few months ago and built my first Ryzentosh. It's working perfectly with Catalina, Antelope Orion, Logic (many 3rd party plug-ins) and FCPX, all smoothly running! Some issues with Adobe, but got fixed after entering some lines on Terminal. I'm going to clone my actual drive, just in case, and upgrade to Big Sur on a new one. Thanks!!!!!
Wow this tutorial worked like a charm - got my stick to load to disk utility screen on aorus ax370 gaming k5 mobo with geforce 1050ti graphic card and msi bazooka b450 w/ wifi mobo with sapphire nitro rx580 graphic card - didn't go any further than that but so far so good I think

Success .... After building working opencore 0.6.4 I went for it updated Bios and installed Biggie Surf on my Ryzentoast.. thanks for your time. Seems all good will give it the old 1,2,3 tomorrow

I'll try my best to answer your questions:
Questions:
1. With all the build you do, the only different with them is the EFI stuff? Yes. the EFI is different for all motherboards unless lets say an ASUS z690 has the same audio chip and ethernet chip as a Gigabyte board, it may work.
2. So, can you just create a bootable USB of any version of macOS and just put the EFI on it and it will work on the same pc? Yes back to Mojave.
3. I have asked this question for many years (since 2012):

Hackintosh community wants us to learn how to Hack PC systems. Opencore has come very close to giving us a database of configurations that work work for different systems.

Absolutely wonderful.... have been trying to get Big Sure installed on my Machine ever since it was released, tried different videos. But always... i mean ALWAYS .... got stuck at the PCI Configuration bening stage and never went past. Your video got me through like a breeze. Thank you. I realized what mistakes i was doing and you sure did help me a lot. Hoeever, I am only unable to get the boot chime working. Please do come up with a video for Post Install.

Note that OC Gen-X requires Mac OS 10.13 or later to run. I'm running 10.11.6 El Capitan and that's the error message I get when I attempt to run OC Gen-X.

Followed tutorial step by step with MSI b550 mortar wifi, ryzen 7 3700 and asus gt710; desperation:
Minute 37 of the video, I can´t mount EFI partition. The installation has created this folder structure in my Samsung 970 m.2 1Tb ssd (Second m.2 slot):
APFS VOLUME Big Sur Data 1,9 gb
APFS VOLUME Preboot 28,2,1 mb (I guess this is something like the EFI, but the bios doesn´t recognize it as such, and in "type", Terminal returns APFS VOLUME, not EFI)
APFS VOLUME Recovery 655,4 mb
APFS VOLUME VM 1,1Mb
APFS VOLUME BIG SUR 14,9 GB
APFS Snapshot com.apple.os.update- 14,9 GB
I´m lost. I have tried everything, from Terminal commands up to different approachs to installation. iMac14,2 profile worked as well but I couldn´t finally make this thing bootable, without the usb.
I have to mention that when I format the Samsung drive, the APFS option doesn´t let me choose any particular scheme, be it GUID or MBR. It just offers plain "APFS", no more options, maybe this has something to do with the issue.
Moreover, system doesn´t seem to be stable, for instance, if I pair some bluetooth devices and restart, system seems to have forgoten them.
ANY HELP WILL BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED, MANY THANKS TO ANYONE WISHING TO HELP

I’m unable to mount the EFI partition of the install macOS Big Sur using MountEFI.command. Has anyone else had the same issue? It looks like there is no longer a hidden EFI partition in 11.1? Any help someone could provide would be very much appreciated.

did not work for me my bios won't let me disable CSM doing so my motherboard won't post.... upgrading bios caused my current mac install (Catalina) not to boost .. i am on a tuf b450m pro gaming......

It's working well! However, Thunderbolt/USB4 is not detected, no drivers are loaded. Any of you guys have the same issue? Please, help! I have a z490 Vision-D and I did flash the thunderbolt chip. Maybe I did it wrong... I remember it said in the Terminal "Warning: Chip content is identical to the requested image."

Hi Technolli, Very good video. The best guide I have seen on UA-cam. Unfortunately, despite following the instruction, my PC gets stuck at 14 minutes remaining during the initial installation step (after the SSD was formatted) and the PC freezes. I have AMD Ryzen 9 3900, AMD Radeon RX580 and Gigabyte Aorus Master X570 motherboard. I have changed the BIOS settings and did all steps correctly as far as I can determine. I have done similar Ryzentosh on another PC but with slightly older HW and it worked fine. Any idea or suggestion to fix this failure at 14 minutes remaining?

I have problems in both Catalina and Big Sur, the audio from the Hackintosh back panel (plug) works fine but when I want the audio to be heard through the speakers of the TV via HDMI don't work, the option does not appear in audio preferences and I do not know what I have to modify, thanks! I have b550ma and ryzen 7 5800x. What its not shown in the video is that for newer cpus you need to define number of cores in patch area (also shown in dortania guide) and for my mobo i had to put applesmc on true in config.plist. Hope it helps if someone else is building similar build
