- We are introduced to a Florida local non-binary drag activist who is at the forefront of breaking down barriers and advocating for the rights and dignity of transgender and non-binary individuals. Our guest openly discusses the intersection of drag, activism, and identity, while highlighting the dire impact of discriminatory legislation on trans healthcare, youth, and families.
Join us on a groundbreaking journey as we explore and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities across the globe.
In each episode we take a deep dive into the unique stories with insightful interviews,
we have partnered up with several of Tampa Bay Area’s esteemed community members, activists, and organizations to offer an intimate glimpse into the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals that live here in Florida. The series will consist of engaging, thought-provoking episodes that shed light on personal journeys, challenges, triumphs, as well as the ways in which anti-gay legislation has impacted the community.
The first season centers on interviews with influential figures such as Angelique Young, Erica PC (Arron Perry), Lilith Black, and many more. These powerhouses were crucial to the start of the Drag2Talle movement earlier this year. Their stories will serve as a testament to the resilience and vibrancy of the LGBTQIA+ community in Florida.
But amidst the challenges, we also showcase the strength and solidarity within Florida's LGBTQ+ community. We highlight the local organizations, activists, and allies who tirelessly fight for equality. By showcasing this beautiful community, we hope to create dialogue, promote empathy, and advocate for a more inclusive and equal society.

I'm so grateful to Beyond Borders! You should be commended not only for the immense work that went in this series but also for creating an opportunity to uplift and magnify the voices of people within our community! Thank you for everything you do!!!
We love you Lilith Black!! You are truly inspiring!💖
Love you so much!!!!
Non-binary = Look at me, look at me I’m sooooo special. I’m more special than you. I’m the most special person in the room. And did I mention me, me, me, look at me?
Yet another wonderful episode of “Beyond Borders”! 🏳️⚧️❤️🏳️⚧️
Lilith is such an amazing, compassionate and talented individual, and I think the community building and activism that so many of us have had to engage in, here in Florida, (as a result of these legislative attacks), has been the bright spot of this experience.
Never have I seen so much cohesion and cross-pollination between various segments of the trans community, the LGBTQ+ community as a whole, and our allies. Rather than hide in the closet, or wither in the face of the political attacks, rhetoric and vitriol, we have become MORE VISIBLE, better organized and proudly defiant! ✊
Thank you Lilith, for the work you do via Drag2Talle and TransNetwork, and thanks for sharing your creative energy with us all! 😎
The latest thing that teens and college age are onto. When I was in college it was emo and punk. Seemed more straightforward.
It’s still extremely difficult now let me tell you. So much hate. Thanks for the video
It means you are bored and busy projecting instead of solving your own problems.
No one fits neatly into a stereotype...
Non binary means "look at me" and "see!..I'm not in the white oppressor box anymore..I'm now a victim."
I was hoping for a video that actually explains what non-binary is, but this is just another one that only describes what it is not. Definitions like that quickly become meaningless, describing over 90% of people I know just because they do something that isn't traditionally associated with their sex. It doesn't show the need for a category, but rather show a restrictive understanding of man and woman.
And to be clear, I'm not denying anyone's existence. Anyone is free to live as themselves as long as they don't harm others. I'm just trying to understand the concept as some who grew up with the idea that one's sex doesn't define who one is as an individual or what one does.
Seems to be synonymous with queer. It's purely a political ideology not based in anything objective. An identiity without essence.
There is no one explanation of what non-binary means because it is different for every person. Everybody expresses themselves in a different way and I am including men and women in that too. It is mainly about how you see yourself and what feels most fitting. For some people it can also be based on their body like for some intersex people. There are multiple labels that fall under the non-binary umbrella, for example: genderfluid, agender, pangender, transmasc or transfem or even questioning.
The idea is not that men and women cannot act "atypical" for their gender, it is rather an addition and a word for those who don't feel like the traditional terms are really addressing them.
@@Das_Grill So for most it is just individuality and has nothing to do with gender, whilst for a few who are intersex it might be a gender based on them being intersex? Am I reading that right?
@@Ms10000123 What is gender if not your individual expression?
@@Das_Grill I'd say my gender is a minor part of who I am. If it weren't the first part people see of me, I would probably not experience it at all. It is just a label for a group I can be associated with, which hardly tells anything about me as an individual. There are many labels that are as closer approximation of who I am than gender.
