  • 1st time filmed at Acton Main Line on the Great Western Main Line being the first station out of London Paddington served by TFL Rail services to and from Hayes & Harlington.
Featuring Great Western Railway, TFL Rail, Heathrow Express and some freight movements in Acton Yard.
Acton Main Line the 1st stop for TFL Rail services out of Paddington opened on February 1st 1868 as Acton
Acton has the most number of stations in London as well including
West Acton, North Acton and East Acton on the Central Line
Acton Town on District and Piccadilly Lines
South Acton and Acton Central on London Overground's North London Line
When the District Railway opened to Ealing Broadway on July 1st 1879 there was one time a station called Acton Green which was renamed Chiswick Park and Acton Green in 1884 before becoming today's Chiswick Park in 1910.
Acton was renamed on November 1st 1949 to today's Acton Main Line
The station originally had 4 platforms with a partially covered canopy however Platform 1 was demolished in 1960.
The canopy was demolished in 1974 at the same time the original GWR station building was replaced with a small booking office although the present building dates from 1996.
Barriers separating Platform 2 which is rarely used nowadays and Platform 3 was installed in 2013.
Between Ealing Broadway and Acton Main Line is the junction of Acton T.C. freight yard however since 2017 eastbound can pass under the connection of the freight lines via Acton Fly under which was built to reduce disruption for London Bound stopping services especially at Peak Times.
GWR Greenford services use to operate to London Paddington was cut back to West Ealing on January 3rd 2018 when electrification of the GWML was completed between Airport Junction and Didcot Parkway
Since then stopping services to Reading and Didcot Parkway are provided by Class 387s.
At the time of filming the station was undergoing extensive rebuilding in preparation for Crossrail.
Class 345s begin running stopping services on May 19th 2018 when TFL took over Heathrow Connect however eventually will take over the stopping services to Reading from GWR from December 15th 2019 to allow Class 387s used by GWR to be used for services to Didcot Parkway and Newbury.
Also before that 12 Class 387s will take over on Heathrow Express from the Class 332s on December 8th which the 332s have been in service since 1997.
Filmed on Saturday October 5th 2019 on iPhone 8 and edited on iMovie

Nice video, also, GWR are getting more fleets like the 769 and possibly the 365. And the company is extending the 387 destinations

Yes GWR are getting 769s although still no date for them although they are running a year late than planned and now due to what's going on even May when they suppose to start well no news of them testing on GWR as of yet.
As for 365s well that won't be going to GWR
387s well they are only doing either London Paddington - Didcot Parkway or Newbury to and from Reading with a few doing London Paddington - Newbury
