I played 200 days of Dinkum! You guys loved the first 100 Days, thank you everyone for the love on the last video! By popular demand here's a part 2, which had the following goals:
1. Meet all available NPCs
2. Get 5 hearts with all residents
3. Fix all tele-towers
4. Trap and send off one of each colour diggo
5. Get a big enough farm for the tractor
We did also add some fun extra ones during the course of recording too! AND because of a little mistake, we got to check out the new Housewarming Update!
I've been so excited about this Aussie-style life sim game which is like combining Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley and Minecraft, all of which are favourites of mine!

thanks for all the love on the video! since it's asked often i thought i would mention in a pinned comment, there will be a 300 days, but not until there's enough new content to explore to fill out another 100 days! i'm following game updates closely, and as soon as i feel i can produce something fun and of good quality, i'll be doing it, don't you worry!

A huge update came out some days ago. Its a ton of content and there isnt much on youtube about it yet. It would be great content plus i would love to watch 300 days as the dinkum videos brought me to subscribe in your channel^^
You may already be aware of this but if you weaken the animals before trapping them they won't try to break out while you're carrying them. Your town looks awesome btw!

I feel while you can get large amounts of money fairly easy, you just as easily spend it so it feels balanced still
There is enough to grind out that you always have something to do and the money doesn't give you all that much of a leg up

Great video. Dinkum is one of those games that is fun to play, but will put you to sleep if you were to watch someone play it in normal time. So I find these sped up videos with funny commentary to be quite entertaining and a great medium for these types of games.

I loved this so much! Your first 100 days of Dinkum actually made me buy the game myself, since it looked so fun and I'm at 40+ hours since buying it, so I'm happy to see all the progress I can get once I spend more time on farming (cause let's be real, it's annoying when you only have a watering can and a big field). Another great video. I needed something to watch with my morning coffee and I couldn't resist even though I said I would wait until I progressed my game a bit! I don't feel like it's spoiled my experience with the game though. Nice to see some of the possibilities and this will save me time in the future. Some of the things I've found and hung onto that I didn't know what to do with were explained here so again very helpful and entertaining.

Hope to see you do 300 days soon! I think there's plenty of new stuff to check out.
Just some tips:
- the late period after 11:59 is an excellent time to smelt, craft, etc as long as it doesn't require energy because you have infinite time
- cooked fish always sells for more. Sometimes it's less than 100d difference but sometimes it's a couple grand
- the pearls respawn every 9 days so marking anyone's you see on the map to revisit is a great way to farm them
- you can use the guitar to pat lots of animals at once and also corral animals which could help moving your peeps, except it works on all animals in an area
- the bat statue in the mines allows you to get a bat glider when you put in 20 bat wings
I do really wanna go back to this game! With all the stuff added part of it is me arguing with myself as to whether I can carry on this world or if I need to start again!
@@emmalution hmm, that's a good question. I'd say restart if it was just a casual playthrough but because it's for a video I think it's entirely up to whether you want to start from scratch again. If you're not already aware, a lot of end game stuff has been added so if you do restart it will probably take even longer to get to it. Either way I look forward to it!
I saw the bat statue few days ago too and after checking it out I've read you need bat wings for it (I think 20 but I'm not sure)
And I had like 10 in my chest and sold it 😭✋🏻

@@emmalution It's a bit hard for me since I'm a perfectionist and I want everything to be perfect really fast, but other than that I quite liked it, but burned out kind of fast as same as I did with stardew valley, I have love hate relationship with farming games where perfection exist :D

Thanks for giving me some more ideas for my Dinkum homestead. Some more tips for you in your next 100 days:
If you injure an animal to half health or less, they won't break out of the traps. This works for any animal that attempts to break out.
Max out your metal detecting license and an X will appear on the ground indicating something is buried there. This makes the metal detector irrelevant.
Buy the jet ski and you can get off of it and fish from it and also use the fish book to finish the pedia entries. It's much easier than fighting a fish from the shore with a full cast as you can pull right up to them.
When you find a pearl, mark its location as they stay in one spot and the pearls regenerate over time. It's easy money.
Finally, Ted Selly only spawns on rainy days and if you hear an ominous whistle, he's near by.

These are great tips! Thanks! The only thing I might add though is the the metal detector, the X's don't show up for every piece of buried treasure so if you're needing a huge amount of parts it can still be useful! ☺️
@@emmalution I found that clicking every half a second (ish) with the metal detector equiped will make you find the same amount of things except you move faster
if you do a 300 days video of Dinkum you have to narrate every enemy encounter in a David Attenborough impression

As far as I understand, Dingo's in Dinkum operate with the same mechanics as Minecraft dogs, so one pet sits them down and they won't move from there. Maybe that's why your dog stays so far from home.

I didnt see a comment but apparently its like Minecraft and the petting works like a stay/ come command so when you petted it you told it to stay so you have to pet him again to get him to come to the dog house, saw it in another 100 days video. I also realize this was posted months ago and you could’ve found this out already.
Won't lie. These 100 days videos introduced me to this game (sadly not your 100 days). And I laugh so hard on how you need a license for everything. I mean surprised you need a license to breathe, run, and even dying. I mean, that would be taking the piss out of Australian Licensing Law. And I am not from Australia, though USA can come close at times.

You can weaken the dingos and capture them so they don't break out. Same goes for any aggressive animal.
Aw they added red nose day. Every year they sell red noses (and other red nose type merch) to raise money for SIDS. Thats cool it was in the shop . So cool seeing an aussie game

wow, you've made so much progress this 100 days :0 can I suggest finding a boogie board in the mines? if you're holding it, you can swim a lot faster and jump in deep water

I remember going around on my little boat when I found ANOTHER boat abandoned somewhere near the river. I quickly packed my boat and took the other one with me. Now I have 2 boats 😂

Just wanted to share something I discovered. Ground will always become whatever gets shoveled on top of it. If you have a field of dirt and drop sand on it, it becomes sand after you remove the sand on top. You can convert a whole area of dirt with just one piece of sand by continually placing it and picking it up.
this is a great tip! i forgot to mention this because i found this out the unwanted, hard way hahaha. I was trying to get rid of some mud and put it on top of a tile of sand, slight regret 😂

When you pat the dogs they sit down and stay, so basically your dog is either just sitting somewhere or it was killed because it was sitting randomly
This is multiple months later.. /sigh.. Anyways that bat statue in the deep mines will give you a bat glider, if you give it 20 bat wings. Bat wings are rare drops. I would also say with my current playthrough (still haven't gotten that glider but do have a heli) the bat zapper is nice. It will insta kill a few bats at once. Helps clean out the swarms I seem to get when I ignore them.
okay so about the bat statue - you need 20 bat wings, use them on the statue and you will get a bat glider in return! A super rare and useful item :)

I think Ted the NPC with a bucket mask only shows up after noon when you are hunting/overhunting an area. He will whistle and you can see him in the area you've over hunted like the desert. Then you can either sell him meat for 2x the price at Johns or he can make you diff hunting items like a bow or stuff made from bones very spooky but cool.
