I have one and I love it. The only issue is blind spots but I have a front and rear mirror camera dashcam which fixes that. Just have to stop a little further back from traffic lights sometimes otherwise you can’t see them due to the small windscreen. Other than that I love this car and I wish mini didn’t stop making them. Although I love that not many people have them.
Yay! as most viewers of cnet reviews, I believe that Brian is the hands down the best. Mixing humor, real world association and language along with the essential information that we all want and need. Welcome back.
Brian even though I'm really glad you're back, please do tell us a little more about the driving experience such as engine power delivery, shifter feel, road feel and everyday drivability. You rock!
If you tend to go with the turbo engines, little minor complications. I've had my MINI in for two recalls. One for the timing chain and the other for thermostat. But other than that, I've never had any other issues after 27K miles. I'm currently at 45K miles. Absolutely love my 11' MCS.
i like the standard hatch/hardtop because even though it is more popular because of it being out so long, it just looks better imo i have been learning to like it more and more and after riding in my bro's friends hardtop JCW i really like that car and debating on getting a RWD for drifting but i don't know yet
Everybody say that (including me once upon a time) until you've driven one, If you are serious about your car. Your choice is pretty clear. - JCW owner.
The pass through makes it possible to get a guitar (only one acoustic at a time) in the back. The neck goes in it and doesn't interfere with your elbow. Even bass guitars fit fine.
I feel like this might have been released in an era where it might not have done well. They should’ve just continued it… or maybe the market was bad for this type at this time? It’s a really nice car and design 🔥
*sigh* I'm tired of people saying this about small cars... I'm not trying to be a dick but just because something is bigger doesn't mean it is more safe. small cars are extremely rigid. the distance between the structure points are very short making them less vulnerable to flex and buckle in a crash. for instance take a pencil break it in half, now try to break it into fourths allot harder right? small cars are like metal shells very very rigid. just saying they're allot safer then you think :)
Hello Friend! I own the same car! mini cooper R58, tell me if you know how many such cars were produced? I know that they were produced from 2011-2015, but I can't find the number of them, can you help me. Thank you very much. Mashyna is a beast, in Israel it is a thinning machine.
cute cat, have a Maine Coon myself.. oh and the Cooper is nice as well. but. I really couldn't go for it. I mean for the same price in terms of finance where I live. . 2012 SRT8 challenger is what I got. YOU GUYS OUTTA TEST THE NEW ONE! :D GOOO ON SUNSHINE!!!!!!
You should review the new Subaru BRZ and FRS when they come out! Maybe at the same time so we can get an in depth review of the main interior differences.
i was gona buy a mini in 2008- but they changed the warranty from 4 years to 3. and wanted to charge more for a stablelizer bar for the engine. que? el gato connait.
Well I have a mini roadster as my work car only and I like zipping around the city in it to do odd jobs also but it's not a car I would have as an only car.
They should have called it the "Mini Coupe-R," that way it's not awkward to say "Cooper Coupe," and if you pronounce the "R," you're still saying "Mini Cooper"
You do the BEST reviews ever!! Short, sweet, to the point, informative and you are entertaining.

Even if I don't really like the car being reviewed, I will always watch because of Brian Cooley.
Brian forever.....NEVER LEAVE US, EVER!!!
Great CNET Quality review, Brian. So happy I did not unsubscribe do to a few sub-par videos over the last few days.
I prefer the boxy shape of the original Hardtop.

The pass through makes it possible to get a guitar (only one acoustic at a time) in the back. The neck goes in it and doesn't interfere with your elbow. Even bass guitars fit fine.

Brian is the only reason why I subbed to CNET.
Brian! It's been 6 months since I last checked in with your Brian-ness.
This void in my life will never be allowed to exist again.
I feel like this might have been released in an era where it might not have done well. They should’ve just continued it… or maybe the market was bad for this type at this time? It’s a really nice car and design 🔥

Aight... I usually don't like this guys reviews because he beats up the product but this was a great review.
Man, Cooley is so good at this.
cute cat, have a Maine Coon myself.. oh and the Cooper is nice as well. but. I really couldn't go for it. I mean for the same price in terms of finance where I live. . 2012 SRT8 challenger is what I got. YOU GUYS OUTTA TEST THE NEW ONE! :D GOOO ON SUNSHINE!!!!!!
definitely getting the MINI GP 13' instead:-) I am thinking of trading in my car now for it. Coupe is not bad but GP all the way.
Welcome back Brian :):)

Exactly. The porsche 911 is small and is very safe in a frontal crash.
if the cat likes the car, It must be good !
Well I have a mini roadster as my work car only and I like zipping around the city in it to do odd jobs also but it's not a car I would have as an only car.
Well the mini is faster than a base c-class and allot cooler.
P.S. Most people think it is quite good looking
i cant figure out if he is making fun of the car or giving good comment ? -_-
How is rooftop opening ?
yo this guy is actually tooo funny
Dose the cat come with it
does the cat come with the car
1:29 "Google search, so many ways to die"
This guy should review an E-Tron (Audi)
Coop?
Cat door? Sold!
This is the car for the people who travel with their cats! 2:30
"so many ways to die"! Lmfao if Brian was a candidate for the 2012 presidential election i would vote for him in a heart beat! 😄
Awesome cat, but for that price I'd get a BRZ.
"inside the dinner plate"
lmfao
Given the extreme unreliability of the Mini Cooper it is now likely that this video has outlived most of these cars.
Brian ur the best :)
Keane - nice
"inside this dinner plate" lmao!!!
can it fit people who are 6'2 ?
In Cm, how much is that? I'm like 1.80Cm An I fit perfectly on this mini
187cm
You should try... May be you feel anything close to you, may be not hahahah
Brian here is 6'2" and he fit in it comfortably. So I suppose it can.
Hell no
Cat is like: What the fuck, this small beast shit is overpriced... but buy it anyway, cause i'am send from MiniCooper's Autostore
Is that a Ford Mustang at 03:13?
what about the mustang beside u???
They should have called it the "Mini Coupe-R," that way it's not awkward to say "Cooper Coupe," and if you pronounce the "R," you're still saying "Mini Cooper"
So many ways to die...hahaha welcome back mr Cooley!
