Elegant? Maybe. Focused? Certainly. Individual? Absolutely. This Coupe model proved to be a dramatic twist on the MINI theme at its launch in 2011. Racecar looks are matched with race-ready handling, plus realistic running costs and surprising practicality. It's everything you wouldn't expect and it's shook up the affordable coupe sector in a way that few other cars could have done. Is it a good used buy though?
It's ironic that in two unexpected areas - practicality and running costs - this MINI Coupe is so damnably sensible because overall, this is the kind of car in which sense and sensibility should matter very little in the purchase decision. Leave the supercars to lottery winners: this is the kind of way that enthusiast buyers in the real world can reward themselves and buy something selfish, fun and very, very fashionable.
We're aware that not everyone will see it like that. Some will stare down the unconventional looks of this car in abject horror - but then, maybe that's why we like it. A personal purchase should be just that: personal. Individual. Bespoke. And able, when used as intended, to plant a very wide grin across your face. This MINI can do exactly this. And in that respect, it's everything the brand should be.

I’ve had my 2013 S new since 2012 and I love it. No major issues and I intend to keep it for as long as possible.
It’s perfectly practical for me with no kids. I have no interest in SUVs or trucks nor anything with 4 (or more) doors.
The car still gets compliments from strangers. People really seem to like it.
I'm another happy owner of a 2013 S, though I bought mine secondhand with 14K miles on it. Same opinion as you: it's been a very good daily driver for me, and I also strongly prefer something low-slung with two doors. It's got such a fun character to it that it adds joy to the most mundane of trips, and it's an absolute blast to drive in the mountains! Glad you enjoy yours, and hope we both can keep ours running for many years to come! :)

I'm also a happy 2013 R58S owner, although I just picked mine up a couple months ago with 56,000-ish miles. Replacing my R56S. And yes, the Sport Button does, in fact, make a noticeable difference.
Ive had my 2012 JCW Mini Coupe for over 7yrs now (Red with Black stripes), this baby turns heads and you'd be surprised the generation that is most interested in it, the older generation not the younger ones.
Its a conversation starter I can tell you that ;)
One thing however is these cars need to be well maintained. Half the oil service time if it has the turbo or you will have timing chain issues. Engine oil service on time is a must with these.
Wrong about the sport button. When I press it, i can tell the difference the turos kick in and it does turn into a pocket rocket. I've had mine chipped 231bhp bmw lowered suspension, all chrome wrapped , roof and mirrors wrapped, sport Air vents fitted into the bonnet, back splitter and res-delete. It constantly gets compliments and people asking me if they can take photos. Mine is a Brilliant JCW coupe.
I have just purchased my coupe cooper s 2014, 2 owners . Collect tomorrow. Lets have some fun. Haha

I’d love the JCW or even S but have the Cooper in grey white I absolutely love it and it looks fabulous with the black alloys and white and black stripes combination.
Bmw didn’t develop the engine psa group did
