- I went to the first farm equipment auction in our area for 2023. Are prices up or down? It's hard to say. Enjoy this day at the sale and see what I bought! Today's auction was held at Cedar Lane Feed and Auction by Wolgemuth Auctions.

Yes Ed White tractors did come with that hood ornament.
The funnest part of the video was the Rare Cameo of Ann and her excitement when finding out what you won at the auction
priceless $$
Great Job 👍 Ed
She's like that ALL the time. 😄❤️
You put a smile on her face that's great❤
Awesome Carriage project! Her reaction is priceless!
Very nice! Congratulations happy to see you both in video!
Thank you, Ross!
I had a good laugh at the "What a legend" zoom in. Haha. I like the old coach/carriage Ed
Well Ed you may not have a horse, but you do have a mule! Have fun with it bud!
Ok speedometer John Candy thing got me 😂 all-time funniest movie I've ever seen 🤣
It came with the hood ornament
Its wonderful to see a wife happy with an auction purchase. Does not happen often so kudos Ed!
She's pretty maintenance free when it comes to gifts and surprises. I'm lucky that way :)
Great find, Ed! Your wife was genuinely surprised and delighted with the carriage. Kudos and major hubby points for you! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Martin! Win win!
This is a great video Ed. The camera shots and edit are excellent, and really loved seeing Ayn's sun-bright personality make an appearance! Congrats on the purchase. Kinda' makes me wish I had driven up after all! Again, really nice job putting this together. 👍👍
There's always next year, Chris! If it weren't in February, I'd have the camper ready for you to stay!

Love attending machinery auctions!.. Thanks for taking us along, Ed..😉
Good times!
What a find Ed!
Hi Ed. Boy that old Iseki tractor 3:48 really caught my eye. Love old Japanese tractors...I would have overpaid for that....
Hi ED.... yes that was so much fun.. and a great find.... Auctions are one of my favourite pastimes to do... good video
Thanks BJ. They are fun. A real piece of Americana.
Great video Ed. Lots of fun even if you don’t buy anything
Great video! Loved her reaction to what you bought!!!
Thank you! She's a keeper! :)
yes, that's a factory hood ordament
Great purchase, Ed! I owned an old horse-drawn sleigh for several years. It got pretty tender, though. I should have put it under a roof. Thanks for sharing. - Rick
Yeah this think is pretty rough up close. You can’t sit on it. But I think I could replace all the wood. It’s pretty basic shapes that could probably be cut from 1/2 nice furniture grade plywood. Could be fun!
LOL! Nice snag Ed! That's beautiful and your lovely wifey couldn't be happier. Cheers!
Thanks Gord! Indeed she is 😄
That's a fun thing you got!
Thanks. It is indeed!
Great buy Mr. Ed!! I get my chickens from one Amish family, and my eggs from another. At their schoolhouse there are twenty or so buggies standing under the trees so the horses have shade and water. It is neat to see. Take Care, God Bless, STAY SAFE
Thanks Bob. The Amish buggy was cool, and probably in better condition that this one but it went a bit higher.
Neat! Looks like Doc Adam's buggy from gunsmoke
Field boss came with hood oriment
Yes Ed, you done good my friend!! It is well worth some time, effort and a little TLC, to get is long lasting! It s beaut!!
Fun video!!
Thanks Keith!
@@MyClutteredGarage read my own comment, and made no sense to myself! So NOW I know what my wife is talking about!!🤪
The buggy is a great deal! It could have, and probably should have, gone much higher. My wife would be thrilled if I’d gotten such a deal. I know it’s tough for us to tell but from what I saw, it’s certainly well rugged enough still to make it easily well worth a little TLC restoration!! A magnificent piece to add to your landscape. Looking forward to seeing the final finished piece on display! Oh, none of those ridiculous skeleton horses eh?!?🙄😊😁👊🏻
Nice buy!
Thanks!
Lots of those crossed the prairies going to California. Conestoga wagons were too expensive and reqired a team. One pulling horse and a riding/pulling horse for back up and rest made the trip easily. Couldn't carry much but absolute necessities but the steep hills were much easier and pleasant. Sure beat the Mormon carts.
How's she goin'? Looks like it would have been good fun to go to that auction!! So much stuff and all over the map as far as what was there eh!! I'm with your wife though, I never would have guessed you would buy the buck board!! It's a beauty though!! Thanks for taking us along and take care!!!
Thanks Mike. Fun times at the auction!
My son got one of those 8n’s. I got the 855 with the belly mower.
Nice!
Yep, White's had that hood ornament..
Nice!
Thanks for sharing Ed. I am going to miss the live stream tonight. I am going to be tied up with some other things going on. See you next week
BTW, I sure enjoyed both livestreams with Steve’s Small Engine Saloon and Joseph and Iian from Garden Tractor Boy. Thanks for doing those.
No worries, Gary. Iain and Joseph mentioned you in my private conversations with them. I know they appreciate your support, as do I!
@@MyClutteredGarage there is a slight delay in plans tonight so I should be able to catch the first half of tonight. Perhaps the whole thing. It is something I truly look forward to on Monday nights. Apparently I am not alone in that. 😃
Happy Wife Happy Life 😁
It looks like a fun auction, lots of cool equipment. That old truck was cool. I though you were going to bid on the Bolens 🙂 Congratulations on the purchase, it looks very cool
I would have bought the Bolens, but you'd have to pay for shipping :)
@@MyClutteredGarage LOL
That’s my puppy 🤭🤭🤭
Awesome!
Just a suggestion about the chainsaw she wants.,get her a Ryobi 18 inch 40 volt cordless. I got one last year and I love it. My wife would never use one of my gas powered saws, she always found them to heavy, but now she grabs that Ryobi and off she goes, she has used it a lot around her hunting blinds and she prefers it to a circular saw when she is cutting lumber like over the summer she was fixing up the sheep barn when she was off from teaching but I of course still had to work,
I appreciate the recommendation. I already have the Ryobi 40v pole saw and line trimmer, so that's a good suggestion. I'll look into it!
In the 70s and 80s if you dropped out at an auction, you couldn't get back in.
Interesting.
Are you going to rigg the buggy for pulling with the tractor or horses maybe reindeer ?
Well I do have a Mule.... by Kawasaki :)
At least where you are people aren't going bid crazy overpaying for used stuff like they do where I live....auctions where I live are where you go if you want to pay double new price for everything.
Wow. See? They get caught up in the moment.
I don’t know if you really want a combine Ed. A new one with the header can set you back over 1 million dollars.
I didn't say I'd like to BUY one, Gary :)
@@MyClutteredGarage well Ed, most anyone can buy one. Paying for one, now that’s a different animal altogether.
Gees Ed, You got off lucky with that purchase.😂 Looks like a quality item. 😉
