So join me, Koifish, as I conquer my way through America, Europe, Spain and MORE as the amazing United Provinces, everyone's favorite Dutchmen! I'm doing a long campaign, spanning from England, France, India, all the way to Spain and Morocco In Total War: Empire! Long live the United Provinces! Traveling all over the world in search for glory, It's nothing but the finest of line infantry, swiss troops and the power of the DUTCH!

Total War: Empire is one of my all time favorite games! The 1700's setting, the grand scale of the battles, the line battles, the historical accuracy, and yes, even the broken naval warfare!

Dutch evolved from Franconian/Low German, the Swedish vocabulary is approx 1/3 German because of the Hanseatic League :)

@@t.wcharles2171 Yes, but language still evolves independently. There are plenty of cognates in both German, English and the north Germanic languages. Even something so similar as Norwegian and Swedish has so called false friends, usually where a word means kiiiind of the same thing but isn't really used in the same way. Since English is a hybrid, compare Italian "quanto" "amount/how much?* usually used when asking for a price, to English quantity. See what I mean? :)

We need Real Persian Hours since Persia in Empire total war has some chad Units if you use Minor factions revenge which even Includes Persian Immortals who are one of the Hardest to kill units in the entire mod.

The Dutch have perhaps the most interesting campaign in Empire Total War, they have a few provinces very riches scattered around the world, so it forces you to make different small armies rely on diplomacy and naval superiority.
The Jacobites would defintely not fight for the protestant Dutch, considering they rebelled against a protestant Dutch King of England! 🤣
