Safe to say the ending would’ve been a lot different for some individuals if they had chosen a Lannister as their allied... just pointing it out there lol
Not sure there were no weddings during the war 🤔
You really gonna put a spoiler out there like that lol. May God give you hardship
The books and lore has been out for years even the ending of the dance of dragons is revealed or referenced in game of thrones. Can people stop moaning about spoilers, if you were a fan of the franchise you would know it already…
@@fciolino Joffrey already spoiled the ending. He clearly states in season 2 that Rhaynira is eaten by Aegon’s dragon.

I wonder how many times Jason rehearsed this joke while looking at himself in the mirror.
Jason: "Because *women* would not..no *because* women would not be ready, yes that's it!"
Tyland: "Can we leave now?"

Has anyone else noticed that Jason Lannister has almost the exact same manner of speaking as Tyrion? I like how they're developing the "Lannister" Westerlands accent, it's somehow extremely cultured and regal but almost lazy sounding at the same time

@@dionysus6027 lmao! What a description and yet so true!
Quite ironic that in this war the Tully beat the crap out of the Lannisters AND the Baratheons, whilst in the War of the Five Kings the Lannisters cut the Tullys down like cheese.
I have to be completely honest I havent read the book (but am okay with spoilers!) and kept on thinking “Will the Baratheons have any role in HOTD?” Haha!
@Gr8sc0tt whaaa now Im more excited!

Even tough the story focuses on Targs, Velaryons and Hightowers, there will be familiar names such as Jeyne Arryn, Borros Baratheon, Dalton "Red Kraken" Greyjoy, and Cregan Stark, who will surely be quite interesting characters. We'll be in for a treat as the show progresses :).

1. Jason Lannister joined the Greens because his brother, Tyland was Master of Coin for Aegon II Targaryen helped increase the Lannisters' influence in court.
2. The Lannisters joined the Greens for political reasons not because they see a woman unfit for the Iron Throne.
3. Despite being refused by Rhaenyra, Jason still managed to marry Johanna Westerling who was instrumental in preserving House Lannister after the Dance of the Dragons.
true words friend, in the series they're always like "men don't want to see a woman on the iron throne" and "men would rather burn the kingdoms before seeing a woman on the iron throne", but what about all the men who supported Rhaenyra? House Stark, Tully and Arryn just to name a few of the major ones supported her from the very beginning and even the FREYS supported her, for FREE, total disrespect for some of the male characters
@@war_designer8763 Everyone was fine with Rhaenrya and her bastards on the throne. The Hightowers just dragged the Greens into their problems and the Greens had no intention of starting a coup. The show is showing how many people just enjoy peace and friendship rather than power and glory. It should be noted that Jacaerys was popular with the lords and commoners despite his bastard status.

Jason Lannister and his boomer humor.
This line aged like fine wine.

how on earth that guy is the ancestor of tywin lannister?
Tywin is another breed ngl
No, he is a direct ancestor, the father of the father of the father......of his father
With one boomer joke he managed to insult the king, queen and the princess. All the dragons housed in the dragonpit but is my boy Jason the one roasting people out there lmao 🦁🔥
This actor (Jefferson hall) also played ser Hugh of the Vale in GoT! Nice to have him back for two recurring roles
Also played Torstien in the Vikings
I think they deliberately made that characterization of jason, to make him as different from tywin lannister.
Love him! Jefferson Hall is cute
No doubt Tywin said something with his usual dry wit when he read about his forebear probably something like "It is no wonder our house was in shambles when I took control of it, with the likes of Jason as our forebear!"
Ah Tywin Lannister. He understood the importance of family, of legacy! How it must survive at all cost. And that was all. He knew how to survive, but not how to rule. He knew how to survive, but not how to win The Game of Thrones…
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion He did survive. He just underestimated Tyrion's willingness to kill him after what happened with Tysha.
King Viserys fake smile is hilarious
It truly is lmao!!!
I love this guy
Close your eyes and just hear his voice : I feel that he re-incarnated as tyrion lannister after few decades 🤣
I am more and more convinced that most of the Lannister lords were similar to Jason or Tytos. Tywin was the great exception, and were it not for him his house would have fallen. Tywin saved House Lanister.
Yes and Cercei destroyed it along with all her children and her husbands.
Tywin's traits are not common in Lanisters. Unless we speak about legendary Lann the clever, cunning and ruthlessness are not that they are refered with. They are rich, proud, reckless, more or less noble. Jaime and Cersei are the personification of Lanisters in every way. Tywin and Tyrion are different, they seem actually alien. However in Dunk and Egg book 2 there is a character lady Webber, who would eventually marry a Lanister lord, and she has familiar traits.
This man's wife, Lady Johanna Lannister would wear armour and set the Iron Islands on fire in retaliation for their raids.
She also castrated a son of the Red Kraken and had him serve as her son's fool.
So no. The Lannisters were always terrifying with some exceptions.
This is just not true and you haven't read the books. House Lannister was not some weak house until Tywin came along. If that were the case, they wouldn't have been ruling Casterly Rock for very long.
Firstly Lannister were kings of the rock and they lost this title because the Targaryens conquered them but they became Lord Paramount of the Westerlands and Wardens of the West.
The house remained powerful and prosperous. So when people people think of House Lannister at it's lowest was when Lord Tytos the father of Tywin ruled as he was too forgiving and let people walk all over him. This is why things changed with Tywin.
What non book readers don't know is that before Tytos the reputation was still high under Tywin's grandfather Gerald the Golden and he was called that because he made the Lannister prosperous.
Some people like to overrate how great Tywin was. Yet he too was humiliated in front of other lords under Aerys II. Aerys II mock him and have others laugh as Tywin could do nothing about it.
Jason is also under Targaryen rule and you're forgetting that House Targaryen were at the height of their power during this time which they had dragons. So he isn't going to be able to just tell others what to do.
You only see Tywin telling others to do who are below him by the way. He would never be able to talk to someone like Ned Stark that way. Tywin did nothing during the rebellion but wait to see who was winning and then he sacked the city by pretending to help the king and slaughtered the people there. He has the influence during ASOIAF/AGOT because of the fall of the Targaryens. Which allows his daughter to marry the new king Robert so this is why he has become such a big influence.
While Targaryens ruled, Lannister s would not have influence over the throne but we're still very powerful and wealthy. It's incorrect to assume they were all weak until Tywin came along.
Jason was lord but his twin Tyland served on the council so I wouldn't say they were weak. You're also forgetting that other houses were very powerful at this time like Velaryons, Hightowers, Starks, Arryns, Baratheons, Tullys etc.
Some houses have lost influence by the time of AGOT like Velaryons for example.
So I wouldn't call Tywin an exception and make it seem as if the Lannisters were always weak. They were kings themselves before the Targaryens conquered them. Targaryens are very powerful because they have dragons. Even after losing dragons they remained the most powerful house and even Tywin served them. It took an alliance of 4 great houses to take down the Targaryens. Lannisters being the secret 5th since they waited for the right moment. That's why Jaime is sitting on the throne when Ned arrives.
Yet when Lannisters went to war against Starks, they were getting their asses handed to them against Robb. They needed betrayal to take down Robb. So I don't see Tywin as this great guy as he is made out to be, he is very overrated.
Tytos wasn’t similar to any other Lannister he was one of the worst Lannister lord paramounts
Had Tywin witnessed this exchange, he would have cringed
I just realised Jason Lannister is in Oppenheimer 😅😮😮
