Chaotic Good characters do what they believe is right, even if it does not follow the general laws. So essentially, it depends on her moral belief system whether she's being truthful here. And I am a very trusting person.
There is no reason to believe she's doing anything wrong. Innocent until proven guilty.

Yep. Lawful Evil has guiding principles, Chaotic Evil is just insane, Neutral Evil… is malice by choice, every time.
Lawful evil at times feels like it's just barely evil, or at least "respectful" evil (say, like how Asmodeus won't screw you out of the terms of a contract for your soul)
Chaotic evil feels like it's just random, my least favorite alignment, often just portrayed as extreme, when it's supposed to be entirely random: one moment it's evil is physical and harmful, in others it's subdued and psychological
Neutral evil is the "evilest" because it's unbound by law or chaos, it's the evil that will inevitably cause the most suffering and always do so deliberately, it's consistently the most dangerous where lawful can be outwitted with it's own rules and chaotic can be extreme or subtle

Their explanations would make me want to stay with them of my own volition, not out of obligation or guilt, or in a few of the cases legal repercussion. I liked most of them, but my favorite has to be Lawful Neutral, being able to read (and possibly memorize) the 500 pages of the contract before the "event" shows some level of dedication and commitment that has won me over.
my 2nd and 3rd place are Lawful Evil and Neutral Good respectively.
Also, Chaotic Evil cracked me up.
Lawful neutral is just a virgo with too much time and absolutely starved. I like the chaotic good and true neutral more myself, they were just enjoying themselves and know they were starving. That’s a misconception, and people that run Chaotic Evil that way tend to completely miss the point and all the possibilities of that alignment, not to mention that it’s really kinda lazy to portray them that way anyway. A Chaotic Evil done right can potentially be way more cool, dangerous and successful than either Lawful Evils or Neutral Evils, and they also usually tend to be the most individually badass and powerful of villains when they are portrayed the right ways.
Neutral good is based, but I would still stay for her and the child's benefit. A man has to be responsible in love and parenting!

My second DnD character ended up in a situation similar to the Lawful Evil one actually. In that situation I actually rolled for his response and by the will of the dice he actually took the whole situation in stride and married her.
After that our DM told me that she was a member of the church of Eros (use your own real world mythology knowledge for that) and was very, VERY well versed in that world's version of the Kama Sutra. So it all worked out in the end.
In the epilogue the child in question grew up to be an even more badass hero than my character was. So I like to think he did his job. :D

Reasonably, it just makes a lot of sense; the only guaranteed prevention is not doing the deed, and she recognizes that it's up to her if she wants to keep it, and owns up to that. She doesn't expect help, but wouldn't deny it.
That just seems like a good attitude to it all. I've had sisters who were more like True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral or Neutral Evil, so compared to that, it just sounds really reasonable.
Were I capable of bearing child (I'm a dude and don't have the equipment to do that, so it ain't ever happening unless science reaches new heights of weird shit), I would hope to have the same outlook in such a scenario.
