    My boyfriend does nails, and he suggested that you do thinner layers on your first few coats of epoxy. And after you put the pin iris in do thin little layers after that. He said they have the same issue with bubbles when doing gel nails and the solution is multiple thin layers. She turned out beautiful as always and her eyes turned out nice.

    • @Keymagination
      @Keymagination 2 роки тому +23

      I watched a lot of videos involving epoxy and for anybody who does not use pressure machine (I don't know professional name) to remove bubbles the thin layering is the only way. Also I don't know if speed curing may cause cracks and is better to leave the layers to dry at their own? But the doll was so ugly and I didn't give much hope for the end result... And then... I was literally melting off my chair. Every choice you have made was PERFECT. Eye color, hair (I don't generally like pink), kimono (of the fabrick is soooo perfect), obi or belt (oranges and strawberries killed me even more from cuteness). And I learned about a number of tails! Perfect!

      This. So this. After working with acrylic and epoxy, I noticed that mixing the two is not a good idea unless the acrylic is thoroughly dry and you add epoxy in small, thin layers.

    Все дело в использовании уф-смолы. Она более склонна к пузырям, а также при отверждении под действием уф лампы смола нагревается и пузыри со дна поднимаются повыше. Можно подождать выхода пузырей, прежде чем засвечивать уф-лампой, можно заливать тонкими слоями чтобы пузыри меньше образовывались и быстрее выходили. Также сама конструкция флакона увеличивает количество пузырей, так что можно вылить небольшое количество смолы куда-нибудь и аккуратно переносить ее палочкой в глаза куклы, при этом намеренно не захватывать пузыри, которые образовались, а брать только капельки смолы без пузырей (деревянные палочки не рекомендую использовать, в дереве также есть воздух).

    I always have issues with UV resin too. Since it cures so quickly it does not have time to properly degas itself so you can get bubbles easily, and it shrinks while it's being cured (which is why it sometimes cracks). Now I use epoxy resin for making eyes, but that has the downside of taking forever to cure so it wouldn't work on a tight schedule

    • @mairamanwaring9419
      @mairamanwaring9419 2 роки тому +7

      I don't have experience with resin, but I think I understand the problem of degassing. Would using a quick vibration help? I use a high frequency degasser in my lab at work and was wondering if placing a Sonicare toothbrush or a tuning fork to the doll's head would get rid of bubbles.

    I love watching you make dolls look more real. As for your resin problem and the air bubbles and cracks; 1st try filling the little hole where you pull the pin out of the bead first, when you pull the pin out instead of cutting it off, the hole fills with air. 2nd try doubling the amount of time you leave each layer of resin under the light. Hope that helps.

    I love the attention and carefulness when making the kimono! I just had to double check if the folds were correct and on the right sides, and it was beautifully accurate! Some people don't know this, but if you fold the part that covers the body the reverse way you did, it would indicate that person passed away. Also another thing I feel people should know, which, of course you did correctly as well; If the bow was tied to the front, that would indicate that person is a (pr0st*tute). I'm very glad that, though those things seem minor, they can mean very different things than intended and I just feel very proud of you on how careful you were with these details! Personally, I love the face molds and bodies on Rainbow High dolls, and love that they come with good articulation. Through watching your videos on them I can see why maybe they're not as popular as Monster High dolls for customizing (at least on the customization channels I watch), but something about the somewhat more normal proportions (compared to MH dolls) and huge eyes really endears them to me. So gorgeous, I'm speechless! She looks like she's been dazzled by a rainbow of stars. Nice to know the suffering is almost over, and you'll be free to express your star dazzle again soon ❤❤!

    I know you usually do small eyes on your dolls, but I LOVE your more realistic style with the big eyes, its such a nice balance between the more realistic style you normally do and a more cutesy anime style. It just works so well!

    Omg, you were in Mexico?! So cool! Did you pick up the traditional Maria doll by any chance? They usually have her at gift stands. You should make a rainbow high doll into her! With big brown eyes and all the ribbons ❤️😊🇲🇽

    I love the work on this doll and I do not see the cracks really. They don't show up on camera. as it is a work of art, tiny imperfections like this is what makes your work so special. You had so much trial and error with resin eyes and I think all that effort has paid off in this doll- her eyes are magical

    I love it when you switch up your style a bit from more realistic to more animated expressions because you are so good at both and I enjoy seeing what you can do. I am currently learning new techniques as I go too as I make my Sun doll from Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach. I get so frustrated when I get finished with one step and realize that I can do it better with a different technique. I find myself keep going back and forth between doll and outfit because of this. I'm actually making this doll from scratch instead of repainting a base but I need to make the joints perfect because I'm actually going to use this doll for a story I'm writing.

    I love these Rainbow High dolls! I like the body mold on these better than the monster high dolls. I also like the face mold better too, but I understand they’re all the same. I’d love to see some more makeovers with the rainbow high dolls!

    I recommend slow cure them. There is a feature in some uv lights that the intensity is less creating low heat while curring. Probably the heat cracked the resin. I normally cure my gel nails this way to prevent peak heat waves.
