    Julius maddox is easily the bench GOAT. I can't think of anybody else who has any chance of getting 800. If we look at the heaviest benches ever (in and out of comp) it looks like this:
    360 kg / 796 lbs - Julius Maddox
    355 kg / 782 lbs - Julius Maddox
    350 kg / 771 lbs - Julius Maddox
    347.5 kg / 765 lbs - Julius Maddox
    340 kg / 750 lbs - Julius Maddox
    337.5 kg / 744 lbs - Julius Maddox
    335.5 kg / 740 lbs - Julius Maddox
    335 kg / 738 lbs - Kirill Sarychev
    327.5 kg / 722 lbs - Eric Spoto
    325 kg/ 716 lbs - TD Smash
    324.3 kg / 715 lbs - Scot Mendelson
    He's so far ahead of everyone else it's insane. an 800 lb bench would seem like a 550 kg deadlift before maddox

      @pedrodesu 17 днів тому

      @@gabrieltremblay2423 none of them are better than the other, not for strength nor hypertrophy, this dude just copy pastes this everywhere. for strength purposes a closer grip will be better for the longer armed person (such as myself, my comp bench is quite close) and a wider grip will work best for a bigger person/with less mobility/with shorter arms. That's primarily why the majority of the huge powerlifters go with a wider grip. For hypertrophy both are great, naturally wider will be better for the pecs and shorter will be better for the triceps.
