- World Champion Drag Boat Racer (and self-appointed Outlaw), Tony Scarlata, drives Scott Steele's (Steele Motorsports) 1500hp K-Boat at the 5th annual Outlaw Nationals on Thanksgiving Weekend. Appropriately named "Alcohaulin Ass", this is just one of the hotboats that ran at the Sundance Saloon in Parker, Arizona. Tony let me slap a GoPro on while I shot from the roof and the video didn't disappoint. Hop on board for a wild ride with a world champion drag boat racer and get a feel for what its like at 130mph on the water.

Scott’s boat does way too ver 141 - just he had always been tight lipped on how fast it really was before he started or it after his s accident

Yes sir! They are literally built for that. This is why they are called “ circle boats”, as they are built for racing on a short course oval.

Thanks! Yeah, I really want to figure something out for that. There’s not a lot of surfaces down there where you can stick a suction cup mount. But yes, that will be cool, and I’m sure one of these guys will let me get creative with the camera set up one of these days. Thanks for the feedback!
There’s a video from years ago of Tony’s foot work driving his k-boat. Pre GoPro, that’s how long ago it was. But it was still impressive

JW,but why is the snout facing backwards?
K Boats are made for circle racing. They turn the breathers backwards so they don’t suck in water when racing side by side on the circle course getting splashed by the other boats

I've only seen one video with the pedal and it was Tony Scarlatta. Pretty cool though. A split screen would be awesome. I'll be damned if it ain't the man himself lol.
It’s funny. That has proven to be harder than you’d think. There’s not a lot of smooth flat surfaces on the floors of these things where you can use a suction cup mount, and most guys don’t want one of those permanently glued mounts. I did put one on the side gunnel facing the drivers feet one time, but it vibrated so bad that the footage was too shaken to use. I’ll give it another try. If you want to buy me another GoPro, my address is... 😉

Wish I could tell ya. My guess is somewhere between $100-$120k
was Scott to scared to drive it like Tony, after he turned into a "BOBBER" last summer in front of Foxx's? LoLz,
