About how the facility's design wouldn't have worked if the facility was originally underground, like the lore says, I have a theory. If you look at the image at 8:00 from the intro, around the facilities but within the crater are some mountain-looking rock structures that make a circle around the complex. If the whole complex, while underground, existed within a man-made hollow in the mountain, that would allow for the facilities to function while underground and would explain why there's an extra ring within the crater . Some facilities, like the X-2 Antenna Array, are outside of that ring, but it's mentioned that the extra space made by the destruction of Big Mt. allowed for more room for expansion, so it could've been built post-explosion. Also, this would give an explanation for the hexcrete pillars existence, that being as additional structural support and possibly filler for the sections of the dome not being used for labs. I just thought of this while watching, so if there's conflicting evidence out there that I missed, pay me no mind.

One thing I just realized that is interesting is that the stealth suit can comment on the pip-boy light. The pip-boys were mainly equipment for vault-tec AND they were manufactured by RobCo who Doctor 0 doesn't like, so it seems a bit weird that the word pip-boy would be in the stealth suit's vocabulary.
I believe he meant IN the introductory conversation. Which can take 40 minutes if you explore every dialogue branch. Nearly this entire episode could have been talking. To think tank.
Hey Jon, the other DLCs might be fun to play with the food/water/sleep requirements still on, especially Dead Money with how limited some things are at the start there. Might make things extra spicy!
When I first played this game I was really enjoying it, but as soon as I got to level 15 and went to start old world blues, that is when I got hooked. I pretty much just skimmed through the dialogue until I heard the think tank speak. I loved this so much more than pretty much anything else in a videogame ever.
Jon, I dont know if you know this but, you can jump over the railing on top of the dome where you start the dlc at, once you get rid of the forcefield. You can use this to get by any enemies waiting at the bottom, maybe. Their is some items near the bottom of the domes roof that you can only get by coming from off the top.

I did a Level 1 survival run of OWB a few months ago (though obviously not by Jon's amazingly ridiculous ruleset) and I was in [DANGER] like 90% of the time. The only times I can remember being [HIDDEN] in the Crater was when I was in the canyons near the Forbidden Zone, and that was after putting a not-insignificant amount of points into sneak (with a high INT character too) and upgrading the stealth suit to full. I suspect Useless Steve may never understand what it is like to get the drop on an enemy.
played Old World Blues for the first time recently, and yeah, I gotta say I agree with Jon. For me it's easily the best piece of DLC I've played for any game
Jon you won’t need to fight the robo-scorpions when escaping from X-2. There is a small section on the X-2 dish that is outside of the perimeter so stand there for a few seconds and you’ll be teleported back to the Sink. Hope this is helpful ^w^

I’ve been watching your old New Vegas and Fallout 3 You Only Live Once runs and when I saw this video I thought it was another 4-6 year old video, then you mentioned Corona and I was shocked lmao. Glad to see new NV content in 2020!
I cringed so hard everytime Jon left behind a pack or carton of cigarettes he could have sold. Although I know useless Steve has it in the bag I'm sure of it
Making money in OWB is really easy because the lobotomites all have expensive weapons.
Yeah I was thinking he could've just looted all items from the bodies to sell
Hell yeah! Now this is a run I've been really hoping to see. Level 1 Lonesome Road was awesome.
Dad oh shit dad. Did you find that milk yet?
@@Jogjosmowwdkfs Look. I know I said I was only gonna be 5 minutes and it's been like 15 years. But you know... well... uh...
Fuck
I wonder how hard a Dead Money naked run would be at level 1 in hardcore mode... especially as useless Steve.
I've done it on Hardcore and Normal difficulty. It wasn't all that bad but I specifically designed my character for the DLC.
I did mine using this rule set and it wasn’t too hard
"It's time for the perculator"

Bloooooop
“hey..... Who turned out the lights!????” 💀
Jon: "I don't want to spend 20 minutes here"
Proceeds to spend 40 minutes here
I believe he meant IN the introductory conversation. Which can take 40 minutes if you explore every dialogue branch. Nearly this entire episode could have been talking. To think tank.
Yes! Time to enjoy a hamstrung Easter Dinner and watch someone more useless than me!
The stealth suit actually has unique dialogue for if you destroy the robots and turrets and the scorpians attack
59:25 @MATN NOOOOO A STEALTH BOY
I'm going to rob this place blind he said as he walked past a stealth boy on a desk.
"I've Got a Plan"

Hey Jon, the other DLCs might be fun to play with the food/water/sleep requirements still on, especially Dead Money with how limited some things are at the start there. Might make things extra spicy!
The big nastiness there is sleep, hunger and thirst are pretty easy to deal with.
Jon's Fallout 3 / NV playthroughs always feel so nostalgic even though he's still doing new ones and I mean that in a good way.
When I first played this game I was really enjoying it, but as soon as I got to level 15 and went to start old world blues, that is when I got hooked. I pretty much just skimmed through the dialogue until I heard the think tank speak. I loved this so much more than pretty much anything else in a videogame ever.
Doc Mitchell: Steve, how did you get cactus thorns on your... oh never mind. I don't want to know!
This is quite possibly the most insane run I've seen Jon attempt so far...
I love it.
Dear Jon and Claire and all of the true nerds: Happy Easter. Thanks for all of the fantastically entertaining videos you create. It is helping us all in isolation, you have no idea how much. It's a lot. Old world blues out of nowhere? Instant dopamine rush for over an hour.
Thank you.
Useless Steve's story reminds us that no matter what level you may have been, how many skills you had, etc... low luck always comes back to bite ya
Thank you for starting the Fallout New Vegas DLC, Jon. Old World Blues is one of my favorites to play, especially interacting with the toaster. Well, the toaster and Muggy. And to make it better, I just finished watching Red Dwarf episode with the crazy toaster. Thank you for finishing my weekend on a high note. Happy Easter, or happy Sunday to everyone. Cheers.
Jon I'm so happy that youre doing old world blues best dlc to ever grace fallout
This was fun! I loved Old World Blues so much. It's easily my favorite Fallout New Vegas DLCs and probably my 2nd favorite of all the Fallout games if not my favorite (Broken Steel is awesome as well). Old World Blues is certainly the funniest, by a long way. Hell I was dying laughing from the Venture Bros. references alone, not to mention Dr. Venture himself is in this DLC. Lol! Thanks for posting.
Stealth so low people always know where you are, even when they can't see you.
Perception so low you have no idea where they are either
I love these so much ... I've missed your Fallout playthrough series so much and this just makes surviving quarantine week to week endurable.
Thank you :) Can't wait and see if we meet a "Useless Wanda, Descendant of Useless Steve" in Fallout 4 Useless Survival Run someday 😃
Useless Steve reborn on Easter. How fitting?
So glad you're finally doing OWB level one! I've wanted this forever.
59:25 YOU MISSED A STEALTH BOY!! YOU LOOKED STRAIGHT AT IT.
P.S. Love the videos. Keep up the good work!
[Perception 1/3]
When my children need a bedtime story, I will tell them of the time Jon single handedly put down the lobotomies hordes.
That was one of the best first episodes I think I've ever seen. Absolutely hilarious and I can't wait for more
I havent started watching it yet.... but after Useless Steve's first foray into New Vegas...I'm giddy with anticipation
Man...this is really making me feel... *Blue*
....alright I'll be on my way out now
See you around

(Pulls our Red Glare)
I'm so happy. I was hoping for old world blues. And this is gonna be the best.
I'm so happy you're playing through my favorite fallout DLC as a challenge run
Jon’s frantic narration really invokes the feeling of fear for me.
I literally just finished doing this while watching your useless steve series. It was a nightmare but I was curious if it could be done. That was freaking cool. I used it to learn about the game with the hope of posting some fallout weird runs. Fun bonus, the perception bonuses to the mobs in the Big MT is insane.
Super-heated Saturnite Fist, ftw
Cheers!
Little known neat fact, in the weather station of the big MT you can find a map of lonesome road on a screen, suggesting that Ulysses went there specifically to check the state of the area or map it out, he might have been searching for the missiles with that map
I’m so happy good luck on the run Jon
Fallout New Vegas.... *is goote*
(Timestamps on where he says "Good")
P.S. I know I've missed some, if you see some that I missed, please let me know!

The second sonic emitter is for holding a different frequency, like if you wanted revelation on one and Gabriel’s bark on the other.
Am i the only one who bound stimpacks to a hotkey so i wouldn't have to open my pipboy whenever I needed one? Constantly having to open the pipboy kills my momentum
“Useless Steve was barely using the damn thing anyway” 😂😂😂😂
Ahhh yess, another fallout play through now I can enjoy quarantine for a little longer
This is definitely gonna be a cathardic thing to watch as I had such trouble with this DLC back in the day. Also something sorta funny, this caught me off guard when you mentioned coronavirus since I didn't check the date so thought this was older, since I just finished your Lonesome Road level 1 run which was back in 2017... And there actually at first I thought it was a recent video until I checked the date. So getting confused twice here heh
"Benny Hill chase through a concentration camp" is a fucking hell of a sentence.
Love this. Can’t wait for more in the series.
Hole unpleasentness XD. Revisiting this series makes me cry laughing.
Can't decide whether I'm pleased or sad that Jon has already done a Level 1 Naked Survival run of Lonesome Road, so we'll miss out on all the punning fun that could have been had with Ulysses vs Useless Steve.
Jon , i do honest to god love this series or any series you do with FNV as it along with pokemon emerald are my favourite games of all time , but my man , i am sitting on the edge of my seat for 5 months waiting for F4Yolo to start , please Jon , soon , im dying to see this happen , or attempt to happen , i understand it takes a lot of time to get it going so this will be my last comment about it i promise , just wanted you to know that we are anxiously waiting for your amazing content
mehrunes dagon from battlespire: mistakes have been made! is what i was thinking about useless steve doing a level 1 old world blues but i have faith in you john
The enemy AI in OWB is an enigma to me. It seems like they always know where you are and can charge at you from anywhere on the map after they spawn in. 100 Sneak characters are just as bad as Useless Steve at avoiding combat with the OWB overworld enemies.
I love this DLC! I completed it only a few weeks ago, after not playing any of them for years. Yay, the adventures of Useless Steve!
This should be fun! Even when my characters are a nice level with a few skills maxed out, dying a lot can be a thing. Poor Steve.
Dr.Klein didn't like Ulysses's unpossible name but has no issue with Useless-steve inadvertently phonetically identical
1:13:29 when my relatives come over for thanksgiving and my little cousins walk into my room
I think you mean not to mention the cactus incident because he wants to put that *hole* experience behind him.
I just bought Old World Blues and did this challenge was so much fun. good luck!
