MW's means "If you put up with this tedious stuff, you can have fun". They imply VERY different things about the character's moral alignment, and MW comes off worse for the comparison.
It was more ridduculous what they did in The Amazing Spiderman: "But your father, he lived by a philosophy, a principle, really. He believed that if you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things! That's what's at stake here. Not choice. Responsibility"

This movie is supposed to be set in 2003, yet has the song Toxic by Britney Spears that wasn’t released until 2004, and has someone using a PSP that wasn't released until 2005. So not much 2003 in this supposedly set 2003 movie.
Toxic Single was released in 2004, the album "In the Zone" WAS released in 2003. So they did get 1 thing right. It is impressive that they could not get the era right for only 20 years ago. Of the stuff that was not CGI in Oppenheimer, that is much older props that were found.
Get this the movie was originally set even earlier to line up with amazing spiderman but just before it came out an executive changed it so it’ll line up with Tom holland spiderman so they had to do all these reshoots. 😂

Another 2 minutes later there's already a news bulletin on the radio. A few hours later it's already front page news on a newspaper in New Jersey 😂
You're all missing the point. This movie is a master plan. It's all an elaborate plan to get Sydney Sweeny in a schoolgirl dress and dance on top of a table in a diner.
The fact that most of the plot has been changed, and the ADR shows that. And the fact that Dacota was sooo uninterested in the press tour, she was just short of saying "Don't go see the movie, guys"
This movie is basically what happens when AI has control on screenwriting. Fun for entertaining friends at a dinner party, but awful for a profit-making movie (and it's the bare minimum goal).

I can understand them having to keep making something every number of years so they do not lose the rights, but do they have to make movies? Could they have not aimed for a short film or something? That way, they hopefully make something decent since they have to tell their story efficiently and get out of there. If they did make a movie, they should have at least got people that are known for making decent movies on a budget. I would have liked to see what a Madame Web movie made by A24 would have been like.

The director really wanted to set it shortly after 9/11 and not acknowledge it in any way despite half the main cast being FDNY members.

Fun for entertaining friends at a dinner party, but awful for a profit-making movie (and it's the bare minimum goal).

I can understand them having to keep making something every number of years so they do not lose the rights, but do they have to make movies? Could they have not aimed for a short film or something? That way, they hopefully make something decent since they have to tell their story efficiently and get out of there. If they did make a movie, they should have at least got people that are known for making decent movies on a budget. I would have liked to see what a Madame Web movie made by A24 would have been like.
Not sure if it's updated, but I know when the 2011 agreement got leaked, some requirements included a minimum budget of $75 million & must be shown on at least 2,000 screens.
