If so, and you’re looking for really affordable home options in Edmonton, here’s what Edmonton houses for sale UNDER $66,000 look like!
A lot of people are moving to Alberta right now because of how affordable the Edmonton real estate market and Alberta real estate market are. Especially people from Ontario and British Columbia, specifically from the Vancouver real estate market / Greater Vancouver real estate market and the Toronto real estate market / Greater Toronto area real estate market because of how unaffordable those real estate markets have become.
Under $66,000 and even under $100,000 is quite normal for Edmonton homes for sale in the Edmonton real estate market - and there is a lot of options to boot! Options that would be unheard of in Vancouver or Toronto.
On this channel we showcase FULL video tours of the Edmonton houses for sale that we have listed in the Edmonton real estate market, as well as all things Edmonton real estate.

This home could make a fantastic home for anyone looking to buy an affordable home in the Edmonton real estate market and with the proper due diligence, it could be an investment option as well, or Airbnb home.
It’s located right downtown Edmonton tucked away in a quieter more residential part of downtown but it’s just steps from all the action. And also just steps away from the River Valley! The building has a ton of amenities including a workout gym, 2 game and social rooms, above and underground parking options with heated and open air options underground, in building laundry with a ton of machines available and a convenience store right across the street.

Here’s my take and opinion on the matter. You’re right, filter Edmonton condos for under $100,000 and you have an enormous selection to chose from. And that’s entirely one of the big reasons the Edmonton condo market is so soft, there is a glut of inventory.
Purchasing in this price range is typically older buildings, so condos fees have risen a lot over the years in order to cover all of the repairs and maintenance to the aging buildings. My advice is to choose carefully, select a great area (which is always a good idea) but really do your due diligence on the building, the management and the condo corp/condo docs. Try to find something with a relatively “low” condo fee but don’t let that be a trap, it could be low because there is deferred maintenance (bad management) and a special assessment/major condo rate hike lurking in the shadows.
      Hope that helps!

Would love to have your take on this, perhaps in a video sometime because we are considering either renting an acreage (if we can find one affordable) or maybe it's better to buy land and build? I notice you can buy some land for cheaper than a house.

This unit does cash flow. 🙂
