You’ve grown so much as an artist Elizabeth, your artwork here is stunning. I’d buy a print of those cover pages to hang in my home! Perhaps an idea for you going forward? Selling art prints!
@@PlantBasedBride I totally second that! So much of what you make would be snapped up as prints or printables! Or notebooks, note pads, stickers, pieces of “ephemera,” etc. Residual income? 😉❤️
Ahhh I also did red and white capped mushrooms for September! Mine is more whimsical since I made them fairy cottages.. but this one is absolutely stunning!
I was so confused by the name Paul Stamets. And then you talked about the mycelium network and I got even more confused. How cool that they named the Star Trek character after the real man! I love the mushroom theme. They are gorgeous.
I’m blown away too! So amazing! And knowing, that Elisabeth and her husband are actually Star Trek fans, I too was confused and thought maybe there is a fictional documentary with the character Paul Stamets and asked Google! 😂
mushrooms (and moths), these themes are so comforting and beautiful! it feels extra resonating because the quotes are reflecting my current thoughts (reading botany of desire), also sept 24 is my bday, red is my fav colour. so much wholesomeness, you're such a brilliant artist😇💗
my toddler woke me up at 4:00 a.m. and while she got back to sleep.. I could not. This soothing and beautiful video is just what I needed over coffee to de-stress. Thanks!
i also decided to do mushrooms for September. I always appreciate the setups you do for your husband. 1. because that's very sweet and 2. because its closer to my kind of setup. keeping it simple with only 2 spreads. anyway, love it! 🍄
Your videos with your editing feel like a work of art all on their own! From the music, to the facts, to the video editing, to the bullet journal itself this whole thing was just a pleasure to watch.
What a gorgeous spread and I loved the little paw at the beginning 🐈⬛💕🍄 I have been photographing wild mushrooms a lot lately and hands down my favourite is called “chicken of the woods”. It is a bright blazing orange and I have found them completely covering big dead stumps. I can’t even describe how bright orange and otherworldly they look.
Beautiful! Also, my favorite kind of mushroom is an oyster mushroom. A good way to cook them btw is by chopping them up into small pieces and then cooking on 4 with butter and basil, would recommend:)
Elizabeth, you have inspired me immensely to try painting in my bullet journal. Your creativity is amazing and the gold paint you use is beautiful and can't wait to get some paints. Thank you!
I love going mushroom hunting and I love that excitement when you spot one or even a group of them, it's just the best. As always I'm in awe with your paintings
I love this! I was planning on doing some collaging in my bujo for this month since it's the last month that will fit in this notebook and I usually try something new for that one but now I want to ensure that there are plenty of mushrooms included. Also, I learned that oyster mushrooms are carnivorous from one of my kiddo's library books. Blew my mind. Mushrooms are amazing. [Edited to add comment after completing video.]
i found your channel yesterday and i’m obsessed! not only you are a great artist and your videos have such good quality, i feel so calm hearing your voice! congrats. hugs from brazil 🇧🇷
Who knew that a spread on mushrooms could be so beautiful? The first mushrooms on the cover page look like a photograph instead of a painting, it's very, very beautiful! And that small brush she used was really, really small, my wrist started hurting just seeing her paint with it in such fine detail. 😂 A very beautiful spread and the facts are always fun to listen to. I liked the coloured border for this month, really fits with the theme and will probably be easier for her husband to find the right page.
God I love you so much. I have a big thing for mushrooms and this theme has me reeling. Your paintings are INCROYABLE *chef’s kiss*. The shadows and dirt on the ends are literally perfect; SO well done. The “deviation from realism” mushrooms are my favorite piece of the month. I’m adopting your husband’s format of just a calendar and notes pages in an attempt to make my journal more functional. I’ll let you know if it works 😅
This has to be one of my favourite spreads that you have done! Absolutely stunning artwork. Chantrelles are my very favourite mushrooms, so tasty! They have been plentiful in Nova Scotian forests this year which has been lovely! 🍄
Love this! There are so many bujo-ers who have used mushrooms this month. I need to join you in October! I used to hunt and eat morels in the midwestern region of the US in the Spring. They are so good, fried in butter, and eaten on toast. But now, after hearing they might be sentient beings...well, I might need to change how I think about them!
I agree with Jodie., your skills have markedly grown this year. The quote is perfect and I love the facts. I worked with Patricia Piccinini earlier this year and she popped Fungi facts while we were experimenting in cast glass.
Omg I just watched fantastic fungi and I was researching on poisonous mushrooms this morning xD! How wonderful to see your beautiful paintings of mushroom!
I love this theme so much... I LOVE drawing mushrooms myself and I also love going out in the forest to pick mushrooms I´m not that very good at identifying mushrooms but luckily my best friend is so it´s always a joy going out with her 😊 The last little cluster of mushrooms reminds me a bit of Craterellus tubaeformis (yellowfoot or funnel chanterelles) They are extremely delicious and here in Finland we consider them a true treasure.. along with Chanterelles of course 😊 When it comes to which mushrooms I find the most interesting I have always loved the Amanita muscaria, Amanita regalis, Amanita phalloides and the Amanita virosa.. especially the Amanita virosa one (Destroying angel) is extremely dangerous and I was on my way to pick one as a kid but thankfully my grandma stopped me.. I thought it was a champignon!! Hope all is well with you and your loved ones! Take care Hugs from Finland
I love your art. Just popping into say I used your code to buy my first A&O journal. I got the Secret keeper (keys) journal because the mustard linen looked so Light Academic.
Love this spread! And the facts and mushrooms! I do feel there was a missed opportunity when talking about how your husband didn't have mush-room on his calendar! ❤🍄
I have been obsessed with mushrooms lately. Thanks so much for sharing those interesting facts🍄 I haven't commented a lot lately cause I haven't been able to work on my own bujo but I am still here watching and supporting!
Mushroom themes are my all time favourite........ And i also made a mushroom theme this month😅. BTW loved the whole theme and the cover page was my favourite
I don’t comment much and even tho I’m speechless at the moment I’m compelled to say how fascinated I am at your videos. They are so well put together, the artwork is like watching magic happen and the informational tie bits are always very interesting. I’m so inspired after each video yet I still can’t even draw a decent stick figure.
Loved this - my minimalist bujo is starting to stagnate and you're re-inspiring me! I grew up picking mushrooms with my family - "Sticky Gray Trich" (aka , or which grows in evergreen forests and can appear a variety of different ways. And is delicious. Another favorite is "Chicken of the Woods" which grows on oak trees...but be careful, my father and grandfather brought home one that looked like this (a full bushel of one mushroom) and it poisoned the whole family...thankfully, not fatally. Thanks for your lovely vlog!!
🍄 I didn't think I would ever find that mushroom emoji, but four emoji pages later, I did. I always like seeing the iconic red and white polka dotted mushrooms. They always bring images of fairytale forests, and cozy woodland cottages, to my minds eye. But I find the small, luminescent mushrooms the most fascinating. And just for the record, I really enjoyed your 'little facts' about mushrooms. I l am one of those people who has to know everything about anything that interests me. Whether it is heirloom organic gardening, or the Bible. I spent day more than two years studying the Bible day and night in its original three languages. So, I really enjoyed your interesting facts about mushrooms. I love to eat mushrooms but rarely do, because my husband has a thing about food textures and he says he will not eat fungus.
Love the detail and fun facts on this one. Eastern medicine has always valued mushrooms and I feel like western culture is a few hundred years behind the ball.
I take it you're a Star Trek Discovery fan? 😂 I watched an interview with Paul Stamets around when Discovery started. He was fascinating. I tried to read his book, out of true Star Trek nerdery, but sadly it couldn't hold my interest. Gorgeous spread!
I love this setup - it’s so cool! My favorite mushrooms are shiitake mushrooms, but it’s hard to find lots of different kinds of mushrooms in the grocery store where I live, so there are lots that I just haven’t tried. 🍄
I'm starting my very first bullet journal!! Although I'm very artsy, I'm starting pretty minimalist. I have learned a lot from your videos as well as been entertained and relaxed. Loved hearing about the mushrooms in this video!!!!
Mushrooms are fascinating. I like the red ones with the white spots, even though I know they're poisonous....I used that as a theme for June with a frog. :)
I love this! I did a mushroom theme last year and it was so much fun! I also love the quote! Mushrooms are so cool and aesthetically pleasing! I may have to do a mushroom theme again for Sept too 🤔 😍🍄 I'm actually doing an enchanted forest/mushroom themed photoshoot next month, so it would be fitting, too!
You’ve grown so much as an artist Elizabeth, your artwork here is stunning. I’d buy a print of those cover pages to hang in my home! Perhaps an idea for you going forward? Selling art prints!
Aw thank you! That’s so kind of you ❤️
@@PlantBasedBride I totally second that! So much of what you make would be snapped up as prints or printables! Or notebooks, note pads, stickers, pieces of “ephemera,” etc. Residual income? 😉❤️
Yes, I agree!.. I just commented about them being framed!!..
Couldn't agree any more!
It looks great!
I'd definitely hang it on my wall
Would be amazing as large stickers so we can add them to our own bujos 🤭
Ahhh I also did red and white capped mushrooms for September! Mine is more whimsical since I made them fairy cottages.. but this one is absolutely stunning!
Amazing! That sounds lovely 🍄🧚♀️
I'm doing a woodlands theme with red-capped mushrooms and leaves and cute animals!
This is so gorgeous! Another fun fact about mushrooms is that they can actually break down most plastics! Mushrooms will save the world 🍄
That is so cool!
This theme is beautiful. You should absolutely send Paul Stamets a picture of the quote page. I'm sure he'd be delighted to have inspired the art.
😍🍄 I love the mushrooms which grow on the trees’ bark.
I love that you include facts in your videos. And, this cover page would be awesome as a print. 🍄🍄🍄
Thank you so much! 🍄❤️
“It’s wild… literally.” 😂🙌🏼
😅

Botany of desire is such a good book!

I too enjoy Paul Stamets and so happy others are discovering and enjoying what he shares! ❤️🍄
Elizabeth, you have inspired me immensely to try painting in my bullet journal. Your creativity is amazing and the gold paint you use is beautiful and can't wait to get some paints. Thank you!
Omg I always enjoy bullet journal setups but when u mix in some interesting facts and don’t forget to talk about the setup it’s just perfection!!
oh this is so stunning, love those autumn vibes 😍🍄
Thank you so much!
🍄 I found myself thinking about how much your husband must love your art in his bullet journals. What an cool expression of love.
Elizabeth, you are the Queen of doing elegant videos…the editing, the music, your voice, the art…so beautiful 😍😍😍😍🍄🍄🍄🍄
I don't know if I'm in more awe with the work you had with the drawings and watercoloring or the fungi facts!
Haha aw thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🍄❤️
Not only is this setup absolutely gorgeous, it’s also super duper interesting ! 🍄
I will never stop to admire your art. It looks so absolutely great.
I also really appreciated the facts in this video.
🍄
He’s a lucky hubby! That is a beautiful set up. I love the entire spread! 🍄
I looove the aesthetic of mushrooms & cottagecore things, this is stunning & the video overall is so relaxing & safe feeling.
The red toxic mushrooms 🍄 you painted are gorgeous. I like to see all the mushrooms that pop up near my house seemingly overnight.
Last time I was this early was when I was born... prematurely 😂 always love your autumnal themes, this is so gorgeous!🍄🥰
😂 thank you!
Oh I love this! So much! I love foraging for lobster mushrooms in October! 🍄
Thank you, Tri! I’ve never gone foraging but I would love to 🍄
My gosh those mushrooms were beautiful.. They would be gorgeous framed in a rustic kitchen 😍
I love the idea of 3 different borders to easily find everything! 🍄
PS: a favorite 🍄 of mine are Smurf houses :)
So beautiful!! I am much like your husband love the simplicity of journal spreads. Thank You🍄🍄
Thank you!
I really enjoy all the info you always share aboit the theme of the month! Makes it so much more interesting to watch! Thank you!
Wow so beautifull!! It will take a lot of praxis to paint like that. Love te facts!
I love going mushroom hunting and I love that excitement when you spot one or even a group of them, it's just the best. As always I'm in awe with your paintings

Oh wow! I didn’t know that 😅
Absolutely gorgeous setup! Loved hearing the facts about mushrooms, I had no idea how crazy their root system was, wow!
This was such a mesmerising video and I really enjoyed the mushroom facts! 🍄 I can't pick a favorite, I like them all!
🍄🍄🍄 my favorite are the portabella. But I really like them all. YUM!!!💚🥰🍄💚🥰🍄 Thank you, Elizabeth.
The step backs are a nice alternative to tabs. What a great idea. 🍄
I’m glad you like them!
3:07 "he's just a very interesting guy" Such a missed opportunity
I felt it too lol He’s a very… fun-gi
So beautiful as always! Also I LOVE the music you chose for this video. Don't know why it just really hit the spot. Love your channel so much!! 🍄
Aw thank you! I’m glad you liked it 🥰

So I thought that your moth theme was my favourite theme of yours so far, but now it is your mushroom theme. Beautiful work.
Mushrooms are so gorgeous and interesting! Loved this video! 🍄
Omg I just watched fantastic fungi and I was researching on poisonous mushrooms this morning xD! How wonderful to see your beautiful paintings of mushroom!
This was fascinating! I had no idea fungi was so interesting and now need to go watch/read all about them and Paul Stammets 🍄
This was firstly so beautiful to watch, but I absolutely loved hearing about all the facts - who knew mushrooms are so awesome? 🍄
Wow - two of my favorite things: Elizabeth’s ideas and mushrooms! I may be doing this one with you! 🍄
I love this theme so much... I LOVE drawing mushrooms myself and I also love going out in the forest to pick mushrooms
I´m not that very good at identifying mushrooms but luckily my best friend is so it´s always a joy going out with her 😊
The last little cluster of mushrooms reminds me a bit of Craterellus tubaeformis (yellowfoot or funnel chanterelles)

This is so beautiful! I am currently working on mushrooms made from sugar for a cake! Maybe I will also have a September mushroom theme for my bujo
Oh wow that’s so cool!
This was so relaxing and yet so completely fascinating!! 🍄🤎🍄
Love this spread! And the facts and mushrooms!
I do feel there was a missed opportunity when talking about how your husband didn't have mush-room on his calendar! ❤🍄
MUSHROOMS!!!!! I have never clicked on a video more quickly in my LIFE

So happy you ere inspired by Paul, I love his work! There's a new documentary about fungi on netflix and Paul is part of it. So good!!!
I have been obsessed with mushrooms lately. Thanks so much for sharing those interesting facts🍄
I haven't commented a lot lately cause I haven't been able to work on my own bujo but I am still here watching and supporting!
Gorgeous mushrooms 🍄 😍 I love this spread. My favourite mushrooms are Porcini, for their almost meaty flavour.
I’m so excited for this video and theme!! ❤️🍄
Mushroom themes are my all time favourite........
And i also made a mushroom theme this month😅.
BTW loved the whole theme and the cover page was my favourite
Another amazing set-up and a lot of interesting information 🍄

Love eating mushrooms so was disturbed to think they could be sentient. Beautiful paintings 🍄
Loved this - my minimalist bujo is starting to stagnate and you're re-inspiring me!

Aw thank you 🥰
Love love love! Sicence Whimsey!
Love the detail and fun facts on this one. Eastern medicine has always valued mushrooms and I feel like western culture is a few hundred years behind the ball.
So realistic! Beautiful🍄
Thank you! ❤️
WOW! Some very interesting facts about mushrooms. I love our research on the subject. I don't have a mushroom emoji but here's the work MUSHROOM.
🍄
Your always making interesting themes. I really like this one. 🍄🧚🏻♀️🍄
That was the way I knew my husband was for me , we love to eat mushrooms. 🍄 Great spread ☺️
My favourite mushroom are chanterelles and the champignon. Both eatable. 😊
Beautiful artwork!!! 🍄
I take it you're a Star Trek Discovery fan? 😂 I watched an interview with Paul Stamets around when Discovery started. He was fascinating. I tried to read his book, out of true Star Trek nerdery, but sadly it couldn't hold my interest. Gorgeous spread!
Not Discovery specifically, but a Star Trek fan, yes! My husband had actually been following Stamets’ work before Discovery came to be ❤️🍄
I love this setup - it’s so cool!
Aw thank you! Good luck 🙌
This theme is so unique 🍄 ❤️
Loved learning about mushrooms 🍄 in this video thank you for the knowledge and beautiful art
So glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Mushrooms are fascinating. I like the red ones with the white spots, even though I know they're poisonous....I used that as a theme for June with a frog. :)
Your husband is such a lucky guy! 💗
This is fascinating and absolutely beautiful. 🙇🏻♀️
Thank you so much!
I love this! I did a mushroom theme last year and it was so much fun! I also love the quote! Mushrooms are so cool and aesthetically pleasing! I may have to do a mushroom theme again for Sept too 🤔 😍🍄
I'm actually doing an enchanted forest/mushroom themed photoshoot next month, so it would be fitting, too!
🍄Beautiful artwork. And we just grew some oyster mushrooms at home and ate them like deep fried calamari. So good.
I loved the commentary, it was fascinating. The pages are beautiful. It makes me appreciate even more the creator of all things, Jehovah God
this is so much beautiful , I was really waiting for your new video
Thank you so much!
Wonderful theme!! Loved the Fantastic Fungi documentary on Netflix! Turkey Tail Mushrooms are now my favorite!! 🍄🦃
Your videos always calm me ❤️
