hi friends! here's my cozy reading/book themed october bullet journal setup (perfect for fall!) ❤️📚 don't forget to leave your monthly goals in the comments & any book recommendations for other lil doodles!

I loved this theme, I’ve already started my setup (havent got a specific theme😅). My goals for the month are: - driving license - launch my business (finally) - demand less from myself
My monthly goals are to write all my offline exams well and I am panicking so much for them Book recs are the mortal instruments series by Cassandra Clare as well as the dark articefs by Cassandra Clare and also divergent, insurgent and alliengent and four by Veronica Roth there are many other but my top are these
My goal is to stop caring about how I’m perceived and just enjoy every thing I do Edit: oh my god thank u so much for all the likes and the supporting comments I love ya lil doodles and I love u Amanda💜❤️🩹🦋💿⭐️
That was huge for me this year. If I may suggest, the book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*** was beyond helpful for me. I know it's a funny title and it has a lot of crude language, but it's very enlightening. I highly recommend.
goal this month is to spend more time being productive and less time watching other people being productive 😂😂 Can’t wait to recreate your bujo this month!
amanda, i've been in a super dark place for the past 2 years and i remembered that i used to watch you when i used to be happy. i found your channel again and your videos have brought so much nostalgia, peace and calmness into my life and i'm so glad i'm watching your videos again ❤ reminds me of such good times
my book recommendations ✩: - perks of being a wallflower it's one of the most poignant coming of age stories to date, it's a must. - the bell jar so beautifully written like you're in a movie. - eleanor and park the sweetest and best romance I've read. - anne of green gables it's so magical and will make you feel like a little kid again
@@maellecrp I think it's so important we talk about these issues! But let's not forget the nuances. The book setting is 1986 corn belt america, it wouldn't have been realistic if the character didn't experience racism, it was and still is a reality that should be talked about, not hidden. I do agree it could've been handled better and Park accepting his Korean heritage would have sent an important message and is missing from the story. Still, it's necessary that we talk about these things so that everyone can make up their own mind and will know what they get into when buying the book. From my research, there's different perspectives out there on this specific issue that everyone can read up on, preferably the voices of Asian Americans.
I've been procrastinating on this goal for forever, especially due to quarantine, but I would love if I woke up every morning at 5 am and started my day with a 20 minutes walk in my garden. I used to have a habit of doing this 2-3 years ago and it was one of the best parts of my day and I have been wanting to get back to it for months now. Hopefully, this comment will keep me committed ✌️. Also- being a bibliophile, I loved the theme for Oct so much 💖
You are so right about “closing in on yourself” and taking initiative to make plans with friends! I do that too! Earlier this month, I felt that exact “closing in” feeling and convinced myself that I have no friends. But then I took some initiative to reach out to some old friends I hadn’t spoken to in a while and all of a sudden I had plans every night! It was so encouraging to know that there ARE people who care about me and want to spend time with me. So thank you for vocalizing that!!
Girl don’t be surprised when someone tells you that you helped them move forward... you tick so many inspirational boxes in so many ways..! You are an “influencer” in the best sense of the word. From getting organized to expressing ones self with art and so much more... there’s no bs here, it’s some of the best most real content on UA-cam.
OMG this theme fits with my aesthetic so much! You've done this month so, so well. Also it is amazing to see how much your channel has grown. I've been a lil doodle since 2017 and I'm HERE for the love and support to you💜
Some of my favourite books of all time are as follows: The Harry Potter series The house of salt and sorrows The guinvere deception The infernal devices The acotar series The forest of enchantments Spin the dawn A song of archilles The night circus A good girl's guide to murder Dune The six of crows duology Before the coffee gets cold Well, the list is quite long so, I should stop now. Also, I really loved this cozy bookish spread very much. I would definitely recreate it, thanks Amanda💌
I can’t explain how happy i am about the doodle planner launch next month!! I got my first amandarachlee bujo for christmas last year and it was one of my favourite presents 💕✨
Tip for book lovers: I love crafting with "book pages", but I use my copier to copy pages from old book. I can pick the page texture also. Then no books are harmed. BTW-that's the Wizard of Oz, which I should totally use copies of in November, b/c in the states it's always on TV for Thanksgiving. So thanks for the inspiration! We all love seeing what you do.
That’s why I love audiobooks because you can be cleaning or cooking while “reading a book”. Nothing like holding a book in your hand though. Lovely spread this month!
The entire vibe of this setup reminds me of story books I used to read as a child, with very loose illustrations and neutral tones, and it’s so nostalgic I really really love this theme 🤍🤎
I’m really late to this but I too was a big reader when I was younger but now I’ve phased out of it mainly because I don’t get free time and when I do I’d rather watch Netflix- I’m so glad I’m not the only one and I’d like to set this month’s goal- I would like to read more! ❤️
Amanda's voice is so therapeutically soothing that I could listen to whatever she talks about, honestly. Also, talk all you want~! It's your channel, we love and are here for you! Loved this spread, so thanks for checking in! My goal is to keep up with school, friends, health, and things that I want/need to do for myself not school related :). Also, getting the whole Halloween costume ready is a fun one!
As I eat noodles every sunday night and this video dropped today, I imagined "doodles eating noodles" as a thing lol. Anyway, enjoying my noodles while watching this!
Heya! I think this checking on everyone thing is very cute so here's my goals! 1) I moved a month ago and my room looks very much like that so making it look a bit cuter ^^ + cleaning this weekend 2) Catching up with penpalling I'm behindddd 3) be more conscious about homelessness, just a smile, a hello and/or a "can I help you in any way" already does so much
Book recommendations : The mortal instruments (actually all books by cassandra clare is so good) The maidens Circe The night circus The folk of the air Red queen Shatter me Throne of glass The list is so long but almost all of the books above are fantasy books. But they all are soo good. Hope u enjoy reading them. I really love this spread as I'm a book lover.
Thanks to Amanda i found journaling really useful and helpful in life right now,i fell in love with all of the spreads you have created.Being in qurantine was even better because i found and watched a lot of Amanda's videos.❤😜
amanda! this is one of the cutest spreads ever! it looks so aesthecti and fits perfectly for october. Tho i am dreading this month since i have exams, the spread is really cool.
so proud of you amanda !!! you totally deserve to be on that billboard! four years ago i stumbled upon your 2018 january bullet journal setup and went to the store that day to start my bullet journal and have been doing it since. it's the number one thing that CHANGED my life. so thank you amanda. you have no idea how much finding your channel genuinely helped me 💖
I have watched just a few minutes and already loving itt !! This kinda reminds me of April 2020 setup and I just knw that I will be dng this theme this year being a book lover, you pwm are the best and I wait for it all month
Speaking of impact, your videos always come at the perfect time! I don't recreate your spreads, but I do bullet journal and whenever I see your video pop up I go "okay, time for a reset!" Because every time I watch one of your videos I get inspired and know I'm going to be more organized/productive because of it. Thank you for being consistent and positive, and also for reminding us it's okay to _not_ be those things as well!
I love reading, one of my favorite books is called “the 21 balloons by William Pène du Bois “ it’s basically about this man (I think he was an inventor idk it’s been a while) who goes an adventure across the Pacific Ocean in one hot air balloon, but he ends up being found in the wreckage of 21 hot air balloons, it’s a great read for people who like adventure, another one would be “ an wrinkle in time” by Madeleine l’engle they even made it into a Disney movie, as well as “throne of glass” series by Sarah j Maas. I would also reccomend any Stephen king book especially doctor sleep (the sequel to the shining) but just be warned it is very scary and none of Stephen kings books are meant for anyone younger than maybe 16
OMG you just described every book (series) that I try to do a re-read of every year (minus Stephen king)!!!! So glad to find another Maas lover out there!
@@LillyPadArt Those are two of my most favorite series! If you like those ones, I also highly recommend Legend and Scythe series! The Traitors Game by Jennifer Nielson is also an amazing trilogy!
My goal is to read more books that bring me joy and inspire to write my own stories. I also want to focus on getting back into doing art. You have no idea how you inspire others. Every time I watch your plan with me's whether here or on twitch, it gives me so many ideas for stories. It even gave me an idea of a Tour De Doodle, its like the Tour de France, but a tour through all your plan with me videos. I get so many ideas for this book. Thank you for inspiring others. I'm sure im not the only one to say this... You are such an inspiration.
My recommended books: Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim - Book 1 of a two book series, it's a YA book, so a pretty easy read. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - Has some dark moments, but I really enjoyed it. Becoming by Michelle Obama - Pretty enjoyable for an autobiography.
Amanda, You are literally the best!! Srsly, like I never rlly knew the true meaning of bullet journaling until you introduced it to me! LIKE I AM NOW A HUGE FAN OF BUJOING!! ILYSM SRSLY TYSM! YOUR SO HELPFUL AND KIND! I HOPE YOU GET MORE SUBS TILL 100M!! LOVE YA
this is quite possibly my favourite spread you've done yet! love the cozy vibes. my goal is to work on my studyblr blog and continue to take organized notes in my classes.
I love reading more than anything so I’m so happy that you like to too! My favorite book is These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong and for contemporary, People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
My goal this month is to stop comparing myself to others. I will start focusing on my own achievements and feel proud about them instead of comparing myself to others and diminishing my progress.
When I first saw the aesthetic it reminded me of the run bts where they built a room. It reminded me of yoongi's room lmao. And I get so inspired by you and your journals. Thank you so much for your effort. My goal for October is to detach from tech. I'll try to stay away from my phone and laptop as much as I can.
some book recs: -the song of achilles by madeline miller: this is definitely my favorite book of all time. i don't know if i will ever read something as amazing as this book again. it's so beautiful, just everything about it is perfect. you will fall in love with this book for sure. i love this book so so so much. patroclus and achilles are just everything to me. -heartless by marissa meyer: this is one of my favorite books. it's a retelling of Alice in Wonderland, and how the queen of hearts becomes so heartless. i immediately fell in love with the characters, this is definitely one of my comfort reads. -orbiting jupiter by gary d. schmidt: this book is a really sad but quick read. i never thought i would sob over a book less than 200 pages long. i got so attached to the characters, and this book played with my emotions. it's really sad, but it's wonderful. anyway. i'll stop there because i will just go on and on and on. these books are amazing and perfect in every way. they all broke my heart, and they probably will break yours too, but in the end it's worth it. just read them they're sooooo goodd
Your story about how you got back into books is so sweet - I hope you find some great new books to read! Also, as another writer, I must say not to worry about ripping up old books - even if it's "destruction," it gives them a new meaning and they still have your eyes on them. Books have many purposes in their lives
@@kay5101 yea i started doing more eye exercises but since i wear glasses all the time with a heavy prescription, idk how much better my eyesight can get. Hopefully i can prevent it from getting any worse though! what about you?
I have been doing certain Yoga Asanas, and tbh, they kinda are helping. I do feel like my eyes have gotten healthier, coming from someone who has an average screen time of 10+ hours! My eye sight is 1.75 and 1.5 for left n right eye respectively, wbu?
Book reccomendation: Cell 7 by Kerry Drewery It's set in a dystopian future where deathrow is a reality tv show. It's part of a trilogy, the other two books are called Day 7 and Final 7. It's one of my favourite books and is really exciting
I love reading! I’m currently reading Passion. I’m trying to finish this series. It’s the 3rd book of the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. There’s two left. October is also my birthday month, 23rd is my b-day.
yes octoberrrrrr! this is the kind of spread i was waiting for! i’ve kind of been uninspired lately, and i think cozy spreads are more in my comfort zone, and this video really helped. so thank you amandarachlee, for making this💜💜💜
My goal for this month may seems weird, but it's to stay alive. I am having a really hard time, so I would be really happy just to be here at the end of the month. BTW loved your video as always !
@@racheltripp2654 I can't believe you have thought of me again ! I would love so much to tell you that I feel super good, and that I am happy and blablabla... But it sadly isn't the case. But receiving message like this of a complete stranger is actually really hearwarming. So thank you so much. And I hope that you are as fine as you can. Thank you again
Book recommandation: A thousand splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Its a book about two women in Afghanistan. With all things going on there its an absolute must-read 📚
Audiobooks are AMAZING if you can’t find the time in the day to sit down and read sometimes. That’s me these days unfortunately. I just get them from the library! Definitely support your local library ❤️📚
Such a cute theme this month!!! Book recommendation: Heartstopper by Alice Osemean. I got that recommendation from a lil doodle on the discord, I read it (its a webcomic) and its so good!!
Love this theme! It's definitely making me feel less scared about the cold and more excited for the warmth of being inside a lot 😊 My goal this month is to incorporate meditation into my days more. I used to do this a while back and it's really helped clear my head and I can tell my head is getting jumbled again so I really want to get back into that mindset.
Hi, Amanda! I loved your story about meeting the author. How wonderful that you inspired her and she in turn inspired you! I'm an author too, and I've found that bullet journaling does help me to stay on track with my writing goals as well as life goals. I've taken the idea further and make journals for each book that I'm working on, with story calendars, character information, story outlines, etc. I enjoy watching your videos and like to have them playing while I'm working on my own journals. Hope you're having a lovely month and meeting all those goals! God bless!
I wrote a book full of daily journal prompts for 90 days. Getting back into reading and journaling has really been good for me. They’re things I loved when I was younger and I’m so glad to get into them again. I totally understand feeling like you don’t have time to read. I was an English lit major in college & it really made me lose my love of learning
I absolutely love this theme. Great, cozy vibes 🧡 Also my goal for this month is to draw more. I feel like I often get so focused on my daily routine and the must do tasks, that I forget to take time for myself. It's important that you make time for your hobbies
Dude, I was literally just desperately searching for a new October theme and received the notification for this video... this is what I call good timing
This is probably my favorite spread you've ever done for.. obvious reasons lol! Made in Korea is actually a pretty popular book right now! So cool that she came to meet you and gave you a copy!
As someone who loves books and is in the process of writing one, I love this theme SO MUCH! I'm going with dragonflies for October, learning how to draw them was quite a journey but it was worth it.
my goal is also to check in with my friends this month! we're having our A levels soon, and it's not easy for us to meet up because of COVID-19 restrictions in my country :( i just want to make sure everyone is happy and healthy, including myself :) edit: hearing amanda say that she believes in us is exactly what i needed today

@@LillyPadArt Those are two of my most favorite series! If you like those ones, I also highly recommend Legend and Scythe series! The Traitors Game by Jennifer Nielson is also an amazing trilogy!
Omg yea i have read it its so interesting
I’ve also read wrinkle in time but the movie I didn’t like
My goal is to read more books that bring me joy and inspire to write my own stories.
My recommended books:
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim - Book 1 of a two book series, it's a YA book, so a pretty easy read.
LOVE YA
Aaaaaa Amanda this theme gives me perfect cozy fall vibes 🥺💖💖
goal for this month: start new healthy habits!!!
this month’s theme is super cozy, makes me wanna grab hot coco and start reading 😭
this is quite possibly my favourite spread you've done yet! love the cozy vibes. my goal is to work on my studyblr blog and continue to take organized notes in my classes.
Yes finally a Library theme!!! Loved it!!!❤️ Cozy vibes...
My b-day is in October so I always like it when I see a October plan with me! My goal is to eat healthy! ❤️
some book recs:
-the song of achilles by madeline miller: this is definitely my favorite book of all time. i don't know if i will ever read something as amazing as this book again. it's so beautiful, just everything about it is perfect. you will fall in love with this book for sure. i love this book so so so much. patroclus and achilles are just everything to me.
Books have many purposes in their lives
omg I love the monthly check ins 😍 my goal for this month is to spend less time on the screens, my eyesight got so much worse during quarantine 😭
i feel that
Same, my eyesight too has gotten worse. Are you planning to start doing any exercise or so to get your eyesight better?
@@kay5101 yea i started doing more eye exercises but since i wear glasses all the time with a heavy prescription, idk how much better my eyesight can get. Hopefully i can prevent it from getting any worse though! what about you?
I have been doing certain Yoga Asanas, and tbh, they kinda are helping. I do feel like my eyes have gotten healthier, coming from someone who has an average screen time of 10+ hours! My eye sight is 1.75 and 1.5 for left n right eye respectively, wbu?
@@kay5101 whoa i haven't of yoga improving eyesight 😮 I should definitely give it a try! My eyesight is - 7.75 and - 7.25 lol... 😂
AWWWW just the cozy vibes I need to feel like I'm settling into uni properly 🥺🤭💞💞
Book reccomendation: Cell 7 by Kerry Drewery
It's set in a dystopian future where deathrow is a reality tv show. It's part of a trilogy, the other two books are called Day 7 and Final 7. It's one of my favourite books and is really exciting
She is our bullet journal queen 👸
Who else agree 🙌
I love reading! I’m currently reading Passion. I’m trying to finish this series. It’s the 3rd book of the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. There’s two left. October is also my birthday month, 23rd is my b-day.
Hi can you help me what is the book cover that Amanda use to have the wizard of oz scrapbook I need to find the exact book
yes octoberrrrrr! this is the kind of spread i was waiting for! i’ve kind of been uninspired lately, and i think cozy spreads are more in my comfort zone, and this video really helped. so thank you amandarachlee, for making this💜💜💜
My goal for this month may seems weird, but it's to stay alive. I am having a really hard time, so I would be really happy just to be here at the end of the month. BTW loved your video as always !
Sending you love, Alice. I am sure you’re much stronger than you think you are xx
@@racheltripp2654 Thank you for taking time to answer my comment. Your message is so sweet :)
Hello again Alice. Just checking back in to see how you are doing.
Sending you strength.
Thank you again
seeing amanda happy and healthy makes me so happy too
Book recommandation: A thousand splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Its a book about two women in Afghanistan. With all things going on there its an absolute must-read 📚
I really love how all of her bullet journal themes are aesthetic
omg i love this theme!!! you did a great job
Awesome rec 👏
Hi can you help me what is the book cover that Amanda use to have the wizard of oz scrapbook I need to find the exact book
Heartstopper is so cuteeee
Hi can you help me what is the book cover that Amanda use to have the wizard of oz scrapbook I need to find the exact book
It turned out rly nice!!!!!! I think this might be one of my favorite themes of this year! Great Job Amanda!!!!!!
Everyone: recreates this
Me: *cries in exams*
Love this theme! It's definitely making me feel less scared about the cold and more excited for the warmth of being inside a lot 😊
My goal this month is to incorporate meditation into my days more. I used to do this a while back and it's really helped clear my head and I can tell my head is getting jumbled again so I really want to get back into that mindset.
Shout out
I’ve been watching your channel for years, but this is the first time I’ve truly notice how adorable your intro is 💛
God bless!
My monthly goal is to be attentive and spend each second really wisely.
I love this theme so much!! You are so creative and talented, Amanda! ❤️
my goals for this month is to not give up when something is heard and to hang out with my friends more often.
I love this theme 💕 my goal for next month: to have more happy days than sad days 🙏🏽✨
i loveeee how your outfits and makeup and nails match aesthetics w/ the bujo themes✨
Just Amanda slaying her monthly bujo setup again😌💙
i love this one so much!! it's perfect for october and cozy season 📚☁️💗
I'm going with dragonflies for October, learning how to draw them was quite a journey but it was worth it.
my goal is also to check in with my friends this month! we're having our A levels soon, and it's not easy for us to meet up because of COVID-19 restrictions in my country :( i just want to make sure everyone is happy and healthy, including myself :)
edit: hearing amanda say that she believes in us is exactly what i needed today
