- It's been 6 months since I started my reading journal and it felt like an update was past due! So here's a flip through of all of the spreads in my 2021 reading journal so far (from January to June) including individual book spreads, stats spreads, and more. What does your channel name mean? I picked "Plant Based Bride" for my blog when I started it back in 2015 as I was starting the process of planning my vegan wedding and wanted to document it. I have been vegan for 8+ years and married since 2016!

I’m a voracious reader but have never kept a reading journal so I found this interesting. I absolutely adored the Broken Earth trilogy. And I prefer flip through with voice over because I love listening to you speak. I find your voice soothing and relaxing 😊❤️

It inspired me to do one, too and even in a similiar design. I started mine in April and I'm currently 50 pages into it. It's so relaxing to create all the pages and this way I can combine four of my hobbies: buying books, reading books, thinking/writing about books and then the creative side of the journal. 😍😊

Could you make a video with tips for starting a reading journal that you actually want to use? I’ve had reading journals before but they tend to feel like a chore. I want one so I can remember what I read and what I think of it/ learn from it, but keeping it going is tough. Yours is so beautiful that it makes me think returning to it must be enjoyable.

Wow, this is absolute goals - from the number of books you read to how socially conscious you keep your reading, to how beautifully you decorated the spreads, to your thoughts on each book, and your video editing! So inspirational!
This was such a calming video. Your reading journal is so pretty, I love the scrapbook vibes. Side note, I loved the music in this video. The editing at the end with the patreon list pages changing on beat was so satisfying.

I was an reader when I was younger. I have recently started reading again. This is encouraging me to make my own reading bujo.
I’ve watched you forever but kind of skipped over your reading videos so now that I’m back in the swing of reading and looking for some type of log or system to track my progress and journey i found myself gravitating back to your page like an old friend. Anywho love this journal it’s gorgeous thanks for the ideas !

I've been curious about your reading journal for some time! I'm glad you had the time to give us an update. Your spreads are sooo beautiful ✨I love flip throughs when you explain the spreads and give us a little bit of detail. Not only is your voice calming, but I love your thought process to each spread after you've used it for some time. I would also love a video dedicated to finding your favorite book of the year in that 2021 book bracket spread! 📚I also wanted to mention you've resparked my love of reading this year (I'm up to six books that aren't for school, which is such an improvement to two books outside of school) I'm considering getting a reading journal, not sure yet!

I usually put my reading tracker at the start of my bullet journal since one journal could last me the year. But now that I've changed how my bujo works for me, making a reading journal sounds like a good idea. Could also help me be present when I read and remember how the books made me feel rather than reading just to read and get through my massive TBR
It’s really nice to reflect on the book as a while while creating a spread for it! I feel like I discovered new things I hadn’t necessarily connected the dots on before ❤️
I had to same thoughts! I was considering making a reading journal for that reason, to be more present while I read. It would also be nice to go back and see how I felt about the book if I ever want to re-read a book ✨

Never did a whole reading journal but definitely now considering making one! I could also simply use a motivator to read more after a long standing reading rut. Thanks for the inspiration! Also, your journal is gorgeous!

Loved every minute of this! I would add a spread every month where you highlight books you finished that month and your rating for each since not each book ends up with a review in your reading Bujo. Also I vote for doing a voice over for your flip throughs.

This is so beautiful! I don’t read but I did think of making my own tv shows/movies journal after seeing you setup your reading journal for the first time. Haven’t done that yet considering I already write my thoughts on shows on my personal blog and I don’t want to write down the same things twice. Looking at this though made me want to give my tv shows journal a go!

Thank you… I was trying to figure out a way of keeping a journal or a list or a comprehensive list of the books that I read throughout the year but this is an amazing idea! One thing that I think I will include in my journal will be my favorite authors so far… and a railing scale for those authors

I‘ve got a reading journal since January 2020 (well, one is full already, so it‘s two now). Mine is a lot simpler in design - just some washi plus the book cover printed on Tomoe River Paper plus my notes. Your spreads are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this flipthrough!

Your reading journal is simply beautiful! I love that you give yourself the space to write out your thoughts instead of just filling it with decorations. It’s the cleanest and most satisfying reading journal I’ve ever seen and I can tell you have put a lot of work into it! Keep it up! You’ll thank yourself for writing all of that down in the future. (I think it would be interesting for you to have a spread where you write down all of the books that you’ve read, whether you like them or not and give them ratings or assign colors to them based on your feelings about them. Then in the future you have an index for the books you want to recommend to others or revisit!)

Every single time I watch your videos about books and reading, I say that I need to start a reading journal. I always just mark whenever I finish a particular book in my weeklies and also add the book title (plus rating) on the blank spot opposite my monthly cover page. I’m a little more limited since I’m currently using a preprinted planner but, I’ll have more freedom once I start using one of your A&O collaboration notebooks ☺️.

This is making me want to add some reading spreads to my bujo. I track all my reading digitally, currently. I’ve read The House in the Cerulean Sea and omg, isn’t it just *wonderful*?! I ended up rereading it myself this year and then later reading it with my husband as well and he loved it too. All I have to do is bring up the kids from the book and he gets all 🥺😍🥺😍🥺😍
