I totally agree bout 'over building' your rigs. I used to put billet aluminum any and everywhere. And after doing that to a quarter of my fleet i realized the excessive weight COMPLETELY changes their driving characteristics. These days i'm appreciating plastic light strength where plastic light strength will do. Awesome video, greatly enjoyed watching it!!!
Yeah I try to keep them as light as possible and only put aluminum or heavier aluminum in absolute necessary places. But thanks for watching buddy I appreciate it
*Something that was skipped over, and is partly responsible for the “hop” you were experiencing is called “Tuning/Setting Shock Rebound”. **When you refill the shocks with oil and burp the bubbles/air out…where the position of the shock shaft is “before tightening the Top Shock Cap”…Determines the amount of rebound.(this is almost as important as using the right weight shock oil to get the results you want). ~The further “extended” the shock shaft is before tightening the shock cap, “the more rebound” the shock will have.(rebound is shown as your video describes, the pressure inside the shock automatically pushing itself out, assisting the spring). ~The opposite occurs when you have the shock shaft shoved into the shock before tightening the top shock cap.
I’ve tried setting them up all different ways with different oil and setting them up properly! But both of the cars the K8S and the 08S I’ve always had that bounce
15:50 Bars how comes the front end of top brace has no space between red brace and start of chrome end and now the lower chrome brace has a small amount of space between the end of chrome and start of red brace And yes I can see how your chassis looks almost not far from the wood of a bow😱 Awesome intel inside about checking shocks fluid levels Sure did enjoy your video Bars Thank you😎🎯🤤
Some of the braces I adjusted out trying to straighten the chassis or to bow it back the other way it helped a little bit but not that much. But thanks bud I appreciate you watching and the support man
Great video Bars. Sucks the chassis got tweaked a little. But being that the ends broke on the support bars all it takes is one good send. Keep up the great work!!
I beleive a carbon chassis is going to be the best layout on these rigs.. strong and will save some weight.. This may be the road I venture down in the near future.. Just not looking forward to all the tooling I need to make before I can lay up a chassis..
If u jump the spaceship building thats gonna be seriously the most massive radical stunt!
That place looks huge
It’s going to be awesome!!
Oh no BARS&TONE, I’m still figuring out my bounce in my Xmaxx. Great video! 👊💯🍻
Yeah this seems to help on these cars a bit.
@@BarstoneRC THANKS MY MAN! The testing continues. Trial and error! 👊💯

Funny I show how low mine where half way on fluids as well looks like pennies being saved 😜😜cool video
I guess so right? Lol

With that ramp it looks like it's going to be an epic jump Great video man
I’m looking forward to hitting this thing full speed and seeing what happens lol
@@BarstoneRC hopefully we get to see it even if not best of luck man
I’ll be posting that part of the commercial or at least the jump section on here for everyone to see.

Great informative vid , gotta do my Talion EXB ones very soon . 👍👌👍

Thanks buddy I appreciate that

A carbon fiber chassis would be a great thing for these cars I think between saving the weight and the durability would be perfect.
Scorched RC has a carbon fiber chassis for the K6 but it is priced a little to high, I feel. But it is sweet.
That will be an awesome project though. Sounds really cool.😎❤
If the Piston keeps pushing out like that that means that they're still error in the shock air in it
What brand shock tool are you using? Does it have the correct shock shaft size on it?
It’s got three different sizes on it I got it off of Amazon.
Are the black ones for the back of the white for the front
Yes that’s correct.
