  • After a hard bash session with the Arrma Outcast the stock rear tie rod ends did not withstand the punishment that I put the truck through. So my sponsor sent me a beautiful rear stabilizer set from GPM racing products. In this video I go over how to install this new set.

    At first glance I’m like this isn’t gonna be a very good video. I was way wrong. This dude not only explains things very well, he talks through and shows u each and every single step. Unlike some other UA-camrs, he actually takes his time to show u not what he’s doing but how to do it and where each connection is made. Honestly one of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen. Thank u.

      Well thank you very much. This is why I do what I do. I might not be the best, but I TRY my best to do anything I can to help a fellow hobbiest out.

    Daaamn that was some camber in the back before you changed the links 😅😅

    • @myrclife
      @myrclife  8 місяців тому

      Yea, it took those stock links and jammed them into the plastic rod ends basically stripping them out. I think it was because of the huge dual 6s batteries I run and the Big motor and ESC have added a bit to much weight to the car and things like those rod ends couldn't take the stress. The car shakes the ground when it lands. 😆😁. Lol

    Hey bud I think 2 of those 3 center screws go swapped with the long outer ones the ones that had alot of thread hanging out but ya man thats a great upgrade and great job on the vid

    • @myrclife
      @myrclife  Рік тому +2

      No sir! The 3 center screws are much to short to go through the putter bearing carrier. I just went and double checked to see if they would indeed fit and they are not even close. Thanks for the idea though. It never hurts to voice your opinion.

      @@myrclife So I just picked up an Outcast with this kit installed. The front 2 bolts won’t tighten up… anything I can do to fix it or do I need to replace the entire housing?

    I am definitely looking to upgrade the rear tie rods. My first bash with the Outcast 8S lead to a stanced look for one of the back wheels. The stock tie rods clearly can't handle the punishment.

    • @myrclife
      @myrclife  Рік тому

      That's exactly what happened to mine. A hard landing with all of that weight shoved the tie rod ends into the plastic turnbuckles and stripped all of the threads.

      @@myrclife, I had to readjust both of my links to be consistent with camber. I have been weighing different options. How has durability been with this part?

    • @myrclife
      @myrclife  Рік тому +1

      I have bashed this HARD and had no bent/broken rods or hardware. I think this is a definite fix for the rear of the 8s outcast and 8s Kraton line of rc's. Its worth the money.

      @@myrclife, awesome! I know another good option is Vitavon…but they aren’t cheap. Thanks for sharing! What do you recommend for steering arms?

    • @myrclife
      @myrclife  Рік тому

      I'm still running the stock steering arms up front. They have been holding in there so far, and my truck is EXTRA HEAVY with the 12s battery setup and that HUGE Tp power motor I have.

    I have those on my Outcast and they have been great so far 7 months. A lot of people don't like them and say the center piece pulls out but not on mine.

    I mounted on the top holes of the hub, and I can’t adjust the camber. Can you justify every bar what adjusts?

      The motors been at the machine shop all summer. It's bored .030 over now, took .010 off the block surface as well to true it up, Speedmaster Pistons, lt-4 hot cam, new crank, and a full gasket set (obviously). It almost ready to go in the car right now. I'm putting plug wires on as we speak.....or type I should say.
