Yes! But this is far more versatile. I still have my big old heavy projector, but now space is limited when I travel in my 16-ft RV so I use this and the AuKing projector.
Thank you so much. I have just been looking through all kinds of videos and tutorials trying to figure out what I could get that’s not too expensive and user-friendly. Yours was definitely the easiest and most affordable and useful to me. I appreciate this. Thank you.
Not too expensive...look up plastic wrap transfer. TRace your image on plastic wrap then shine a light thru the plastic wrap and copy. Save a TON of money.
Thank you for your video! You are very professional, and a great teacher. This will save me a ton of time and frustration. I usually use carbon paper to trace my artwork onto a different surface. However, carbon paper does not work well if the surface is covered in acrylic medium, mod podge, or anything glossy like ink.
I have a big movie projector. I was thinking about using it to make abstract paintings. It is funny how the mind works. I had that idea years before I heard of using such a device to do that. I haven't done it because of a lack of wall and storage space.
I just bought your whole setup. I have been trying to think of a way to transfer an image to my project, and literally, this video was a light bulb moment. Thanks for the idea. 😄
@@bettymarrone7386I just purchased it exactly like hers from Amazon. Got a $20 discount on the mount. It was around $315 for projector and mount. I’ve been saving up for it Lol I have depth perception issues and have trouble drawing to scale on canvas. I was using tracing paper but couldn’t do bigger images. Hoping this will alleviate a lot of that trouble.
Can the projector connect with your camera? Meaning you have your camera open on your phone facing some sort of scenery. Will it project a live image on to your canvas?
Hi Leah, Your video is so helpful. I am a subscriber for that and I’m looking forward to more videos. Question, where did you get the stand? Found the Kodak Ultra Mini on Amazon no problem but not the stand. Thanks for your help. James
So I am getting back into scroll saw projects. I came across this video and was wondering, if it would be able to be used the same way to a wall to enlarge or shrink image by moving the camera closer or moving it back from the wal?
Leah, I purchased the Kodak Luma 150 based on your information about the quality of the projector. This projector is amazing regarding the clarity of the projected image and the "mirroring" from my Iphone. Also, I'm purchasing the Arkon Mount but not sure which one to buy allowing me the greatest distance from the 150 to the canvas. What have you found to be the approximate vertical distance say for a 11"x 14" canvas?
This is the one I have. It works really well and if you need the image to appear bigger just turn your image to landscape if it’s not already. amzn.to/3uYcFfc
Is the one you have guided us to on Amazon the same one please. I didn't expect it to cost that much. But what do I know lol. It's that long since I bought a new one Amanda from France
Is this the Kodak Luma mini? Do you think this would work good on white painted rocks approximately 4” long? Thx so much for posting. I’ve been looking for something to help me in getting image onto my rock vs. tracing paper

I see now theres mini projectors with laser light..probably good for projecting onto a wall for larger pics!😅Can you project it on te wall for 2' x 3' foot paintings?😅
Hello, I know you have a Kodak 150 but do you think a Kodak 75 would be okay as well? I am trying to buy one but the Kodak 75 is almost half the price of Kodak 150. Do you have any experience with the cheaper one? Thanks!
Hola cordial saludos y bendiciones . buena presentación de esa herramienta vivo en Panama pero no se consigue aqui. dónde lo puedo conseguir ? y Cuánto cuesta? gracias.
Once the projector is hooked up to the iPhone, you say that everything is loaded onto the projector. What if there are 14,000 photos on my phone? How long will it take to load up OR is there a way just to find something quickly?
What’s the model number for the camera mount. The link doesn’t connect to that item. I have purchased so many different camera mounts for projectors I could have a garage sale. I have three artograph mounts one is a floor stand and two table clamps. Just can’t seem to get the projector to line up on the mount on a tabletop to get the correct size for my paper. I like to work quite large. So it’s a challenge without projecting the image across the room to a wall (no room for that) to get the image alignment on a tabletop. In my search for a good projector mount (one with enough height for larger paper size) most have useless phone adapters. Or have a camera adapter as an afterthought. Very difficult to adjust these for vertical use. (I’ve already purchased 2 additional mounts) They don’t angle down enough, nor are they stable. The camera moves when adjusting the alignment. The one you show seems to give the correct alignment. Thanks for your response.
@@paintingtutorials_ Thank you. I had purchased a AKASO WT50 Mini Pocket Pico Projector and had to return it. They promoted it as being Wi-Fi (wireless) compatible with the iPhone. It was not. It had to be connected hard wire. Thanks again.
While I haven’t done it, if you put the projekter closer the details should still be there just harder to get them all because of the size. Whereas if you choose a small image as to project you likely would lose details to because the quality would disappear in pixels if you blew it up to a larger size. I base this on working on digital art and website development btw.

Way harder to do that. Regardless of price of set-up(some projectors are much cheaper), projector method is far better; especially for precise sizing to your canvas or wall.
