The ULTIMATE FR-S/86 Oil System Upgrade

- These final Mishimoto products installed on Luca’s car will make a big difference in performance. It will allow Luca to beat on his car, keep the oil temps down, and greatly reduce the amount of engine oil that circulates through the intake system. With a stock engine, or even modified engine, keeping the oil temperatures down are essential to maintaining your engine’s performance. If the oil gets too hot, the engine oil’s lubricating properties degrade at an exponential rate, resulting in spinning a bearing or blowing your engine.
As for the oil catch can, it mounts between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. It is supposed pull the oil from the PCV system and retain it in a can, while the vacuum that is produced from the intake manifold can still pull air through it. After every oil change you should inspect the OCC and drain any oil from it. This system will not only keep the engine running more efficiently, but it will also reduce the amount of carbon buildup found in the engine. If I had one of these installed on my MINI since day 1, I wouldn’t have had to perform the stupid walnut blasting procedure ( • How to Walnut Blast Yo... ).

What about next oil change with this oil cooler kit? Is the old oil going to stay in lines and cooler itself?
Yes it will, unless you remove one of the lines going to the sandwich plate and drain and fill it.

Very usefull video!!.I have one question.The oil lines goes now below the headlight near touching it which is made of plastic...That itd not going to burnt it??
Because the lines are covered in a braided stainless sheath, it will not. Even if they were touching the headlight, they shouldn't burn it.
Good day. Did your hoses come with that Mishimoto Catch Can or did you source those seperately? Also, what type of hose is that?
You don’t need to bolt the bracket onto the frame of the car , or do the air dam pop clips hold it in?
Did you have to tighten or seal the alley key bolts on the sand which plate?
How much oil does the oil cooler take? Do you use a funnel on the end of the line and fill it till it starts to drip?

This is for your or any that can help. I have a 97 4runner with some old vacuum hoses and radiator hoses. What are peoples thoughts of HPS being used for vacuum tubes? Continental has a put options for my car.

More like this will prolong the engine...prevents gunk from going back into the engine keeping the intake runners from getting dirty too.

No. Mighty Car Mods busted the cold air intake myth years ago dude. Where have you been? It's money wasted. Most factory intakes are cold air anyway. The only time air charge cooling is necessary is with forced induction.
You do realize that those oil lines are jic which means no sealant and the fittings seal themselves

@@mannys9130Good choice on the Pennzoil,I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in my BRZ and it is second best to Amsoil ( according to Project Farm tests) which is a bit more expensive than Pennzoil.
