Frame Sampling vs Frame Blending vs Optical Flow - Premiere Pro

- Time interpolation is the way Premiere Pro treats frames in your clips when you stretch or slow clips down further than the amount of frames available. For example the max you can slow down a 120fps clip in a 24fps timeline is 20%, go further than that and you will start to get duplicate frames.
Frame sampling duplicates frames.
Frame blending basically puts cross fades between each real frame.
Optical Flow artificially creates completely new frames where there wasn’t any before. Results can vary with this option but boy is it a cool technology advance in video editing, just look how smooth that shot is!
I cover this topic in full detail in my slo motion video on my YT channel.

More like this. 20 second videos. Straight to the point. No bullshit fluff. You are awesome thank you!!
Optical flow is soo clean here. Whenever I use it I get artifacts.
I wish this video was longer! I get the entire point, just want to hear him break it down more 😂 he does such a good job you don't want it to end.
OK I just discovered your content a couple days ago and this is the kind of nerd stuff that I need thanks again
Thanks for this great visualisation cause I had always just randomly chose whichever option that looked okay to me without really knowing what each option did 😂
THANK YOUUUUUU
i love this guy he made a quick 30 second video giving a perfectly explained explination along with an example everyone should be like javier
It's people like Javier who have helped me become the video editor I am today! Thank you
One of the best to ever do it! These tutorials are so well thought out. You consistently find the perfect examples to illustrate difficult concepts & anticipate the next question an intermediate user, like myself would have.
QUICK, SIMPLE, AND AMAZING
Very amazing. Short and direct. Exactly what I wanted. Optical Flow looks very smoother and cleaner than the others. The Frame Sampling looks better than Frame Blending to me, but I think it depends on what you want as result.
Oh my god. This is a wonderfully concise video!
Your way of explaining is intelligent, clear & amazing.
this is why i love this channel, no nonsense babble just straight to the point
Thanks for giving us this short useful clip! I made the right decision to use Frame Sampling for my 24fps 8K content, and Optical Flow for my 60fps content. Now I'm starting to appreciate Frame Blending for the 30fps content that I want to shoot in the future... They're all good for me, nothing wrong 👍
Insanely good. Straight to the point. Thanks.
ur so fricking helpful bro i could not get a straight answer outta google until i found this
Short and concise! Made my work less reliant on RSMB now
Very useful for slow motions, thanks to sharing with us!
