thanks for the info! just an fyi, the values stored in the modules (all of the module data) is Hexidecimal. If this was brought up in an earlier message, sorry for repeating. In hexidecimal, the digits run 0-F (with 0-9 just like base 10 and symbols A,B,C,D,E and F being 10,11,12,13,14,15 making the hex value 0-15 per digit)in each position whereas if they were stored decimally they would be 0-9 in each digit. In your example, the data type is a word (16 bits or more accurately 2 8 bit bytes) as 3c41. 3C represents 3x16+ C(12) which is 48+12 or 60 for the fronts and 41 which is 4x16 +1 or 65 for the rears. the calculator that comes with widows 2000 forward can be put into programming mode from its menu allowing you to enter a value in decimal and switch modes to see the hex value, and do math in hex too.
@@bme43713 if you want to represent 35 decimal as a hex value it is 23. It calculates as (2x16) + 3 which is 32+3 or 35. 35 decimal is 23 hexidecimal. If i read this wrong, and you want to know what 35 hexidecimal is in decimal then... (3x16) + 5 = 48+5 or 53decimal. 35 hexidecimal is 53 decimal. also if you see a value represented with an 0x preamble as in 0x23 it is a way to identify you are in the hex number scale. Sometimes it can be 23h too, same thing, it is identifying the number as hex. I hope this helps.
So the factory sets the TPMS for load range E (10 ply) tires for hauling heavy loads. Those tires generally have a max pressure rating of 80 psi. If you buy tires other than factory size, they may not be load range E, and therefore may have a max pressure rating of 40-65. It is common with large mud/off-road tires that are not designed to carry heavy loads. It also happens with larger wheels combined with lower profile tires. Both instances will set off TPMS warnings. Happened to me when I bought mine. Factory size was 245/70R17, but the previous owner had put 305 tires on it. TPMS was always on.
I did these changes today. I only want my TPMS to alert if I have an actual leak, so I set mine at 45. Can you think of a reason to do other wise? I set the actual tire pressure at 55 front and rear when I'm not towing, but I don't want to be constantly hovering around the TPMS light threshold on cold mornings.
I got a question: How I get a tpms of a low tire pressure on either wheels and even if the tire light is on but you can't tell which tire is low. Like low tire pressure on front LR on dashboard instead of looking all of 4 wheels. Any feature on that? thanks
Hello Auto Dad. Great videos. Where did you get the word spreadsheet with the as built details for each block? Also can forscan write a blank new TPMS sensor? 2012 Ford focus. Thanks in advance.
Is this FORScan Ford Model specific? I need to reset the TPMS parameters to my 2022 Ford E350 Cutaway Van Motorhome - Gulfstream BT Cruiser B+. I searched the internet for 2021-2022 Ford E350 FORScan but could not find it. Will the Ford FORScan use on the F-series pickup trucks works with E350 series? Thanks
Thank you for your videos I am learning a lot. But you need to dumb it down I am a complete version to forescan and when you skip processes like spreadsheet and some sort of download from Google for my particular vehicle I get lost. I have a 2009 Crown Victoria and I’m about to load for scan but have no further information on what to do when it comes to spreadsheets Google or whatever else you were talking about. I am completely lost thank you for your help?
Great video but it appears you reduced the "high pressure setting" when you should have reduced the "low pressure setting". 80 psi is a max number.75 on a steering axle. You now likely have a HIGH value that is below the LOW value so the system is likely confused.
I'm trying to upgrade my 22 ford f150 from blis halogen to blis led. I received codes but I can't find the other 2 .726-43-01/726-43-02. I don't see those on the spreadsheet

where do you find all these hex values, is it only trial and error or is there a key somewhere or a book i can download?
What all do you need to make the changes on FORScan and where can I get what I need to change tire pressure and tire diameter?
Thanks Allen. Fore scan is awesome..
Do you have an idea what is (TPM - Auto Locate) for using Forscan? It's disabled what happens if I enabled it 🤔

What to do if there is no ignition key but there is a start/stop button. Need to start the engine?
No, depress the button without your foot on the brake. This will turn the ignition on without firing the engine

Any update on this? About to do mine
