- Persona 5 is the sixth game in the Persona series. It is a role-playing game developed by Atlus' P-Studio.
Persona 5 is a fantasy based on reality which follows a group of troubled high school students: the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets. These disturbed and troubled teenagers gradually realize that they are living in a toxic and dangerous world resembling a prison full of slavery, oppression and injustice, ruled by corrupted and twisted adults. @@trashyren7847 in persona 5 royal I don't know, but I'm playing the vanilla version on the ps3 and still works they don't "patched out" or something, doing the trick with sandman with 26 luck I got 2,000,000¥ in almost one hour it was crazy

i dont mind fighting battles for exp or hunting a rare item its just the money drops are so low that its just frustrating to grind for basic money to get equipment
Might be old news, or may have been explained in other comments - but if you go into Mementos and take the request for "Shadow Makigami" he's a "Mithras" Persona. If you engage him, the first round will be a summon, bringing in an Oni and one of those Corpse Bird Personas, after that he buffs himself. If you go into the battle, and immediately kill the summons, and then confuse him, he becomes stuck in a loop. Rakukaja (Makigami) > Pulinpa (You) > 2 turns > Rakukaja wears off, he recasts > Pulinpa > rinse repeat. He will stay stuck in that loop ad infinitum.
Hopefully this helps. It seems that you can get this request fairly early on, and seeing as Pulinpa is learned by a Level 2 Persona, you might be able to maximize this exploit even on NG, very early in game.

Hey guys. Since I've been getting a lot of questions regarding the Persona I'm using, here are a few tips:
1- Once your Onmoraki learns Confuse Boost, you can fuse Onmoraki + Flauros (Group Fusion Persona) to immediately create Shiki Ouji. Alternatively, you can fuse Shiki Ouji by using Regent x Shiisaa or Leanan Sidhe x High Pixie. [Credit to xFabz777 for suggesting Onmoraki + Flauros combination].
2- Save your game then start strengthening it using Onmoraki to acquire Paulinpa and Confusion Boost. If you fail to get either one, load and try again. [If you fused Shiki using the Onmoraki + Flauros then skip this step].
3- Learn Invigorate from any other Persona using Strengthening or a Skill Card by itemizing any of the following:
- Clotho Invigorate 1
- Barong Invigorate 2
- Throne Invigorate 3
Alternatively, you could buy the SP Recovery accessory from the Death tarot Doctor at rank 5.
4- Find a Mementos boss or mini boss which is NOT immune to Confuse.
5- Fight the Shadow solo (Main character only) and start farming.
6- Higher luck means higher Yen drops.
7- Max possible Yen is 9,999,999 so if your target is dropping 150,000 Yen per throw, don't go beyond 65 Yen drops as it'll be wasted assuming you start with 0 Yen.
By the way, you can fuse Shiki Ouji using Onmoraki and Flauros instantly I think

Hi,can the last request mini-boss be confused? I'm at the kast dungeon but I wanted to try some method for easy money since a lot of the advanced fusions require a lot of money (if I remember correctly is should be mara the last mementos's mini-boss)

This method would still require a good bit of time investment though since you need to max out a Persona to level 99, which using executions, registering the persona then sacrificing it or fusing it/releasing it just to make a Persona have the stat boosts you want to get Luck as high as possible. It's still expensive from what I heard. Still even doing this with normal stats still earns you 20k-50k whenever they throw money away.
Not really. This video is an update video to the first one I made before it. There, I was using a lower level monster with 30~50 luk. You can still max out your money in 2 hours.
The thing is, what do you prefer after, speed 2 hours each time your bank is dry or spend those 2 hours and first gain to build a persona and then farm to cap in half hour each time, BTW there's something that bugs me, once a persona is 99 they can't be strengthen again?

Is there a way to make them throw money more often? I have a Shiki ouji with a 99luck stat. And after I confuse the boss(mrs magario is the one I'm fighting) hermit confidant request
It keeps throwing items most of the time. It hardly ever throws me yen... Like once every 10-15 turns if I'm lucky.
Also is there a way to keep track of how much yen you earned in the fight while still in combat? Or do you just have to mentally keep track of everytime it happens to throw yen?
ichi ban I think it's totally random when it comes to how the confused boss will act. You have to mentally keep track of how much you've earned

for some reason I end up getting 77k yen per turn with max luck stat (I used to get around 250k~ if not more)

This is way better than what i did before where i would search for garuda only battles and down them with gun shots ._. i managed to grab ~1mil from one battle because i would just keep asking for money and when my request finally failed more garudas would be called in as reinforcements haha

Even with the nerfs in Royal, this is still arguably a decent money strategy if you're trying hard to not be overlevled (Or if you just want to do it out of spite while doing something else at the same time).

OopsIOofed Any mini boss that can be inflicted with Confusion will drop items AND money. The amount differs from monster to monster.
One of them is broke AF in the story and when you fight him in Mementos, he drops 1 Yen even if you have 99 luck xD
Yes, sometimes they go on an item dropping spree but eventually they'll drop money again. Just RNG being RNG.
@Madness Gaming : I take that this specific boss gives such money, right?.. I'm using a Mandrake (on SAFETY NG+) and with the 3rd Mementos request i'm doing with a guide gives normally 110k average per drop. Guess i must go to this specific boss in order to get like 200K?
Mandrake is on Luck 93 i guess with SUN CONFIDANT 4 i think
Different bosses drop different amounts. As a joke, there is a boss later on in the game who is stingy/broke in the story; when you fight him, he drops 1 Yen when he is confused o_o;; weird right? It's like a cruel joke from the devs but yeah, different monsters drop different amount of money.

Thanks for the kind feedback Rose! The auto SP recovery can be obtained with 2 methods: Either a monster's passive ability (There are 3 variations; Invigorate 1 recovers 3 SP, Invigorate 2 recovers 5 SP and Invigorate 3 recovers 7 SP per turn). The other method is by wearing an accessory the Death tarot Doctor sells after you improve your Social Link a little bit.
What monsters do I use for that? Also forgot to mention I really like your accent it's very nice and soothing
If you find any Persona with Invigorate 1, 2 or 3, you can Strengthen Ouji or any persona you're using with that Persona for a chance to learn Invigorate. Make sure you save your game and try again if you don't learn the skill you want.
If you prefer to get a Skill Card with Invigorate, then you'll have to wait a bit because the Persona that teach you this skill are all at level 40 or higher:
Clotho - Itemize Persona for Invigorate 1 Skill Card
Barong - Itemize Persona for Invigorate 2 Skill Card
Throne - Itemize Persona for Invigorate 3 Skill Card
Alternatively, you can get the Doctor to Social Link rank 5 and she'll start selling you an accessory that has the Invigorate 3 effect; this is a great accessory which you will probably never unequip.

okay so if I'm understanding this guy fright all I have to do is create a Persona that has a high chance of confusion going to the mementos dungeon and keep confusing the boss
While keeping a few things in mind:
1- Higher luck = Higher money dropped.
2- You need SP to keep casting Confuse so infinite SP is a must (Invigorate is a good idea or SP Regen Accessory from the Death Confidant).
3- This doesn't work if the boss is immune against Confusion so make sure you're fighting a boss that can be inflicted with that status.
there's also a "minimum" and "maximum" range depending on luck; unsure if party's luck is factored into this for getting more money dropped from confusion, but I thought I'd mention it after a couple runs with this money trick.

I'd enter P5R with max money change and max luck. Huh. I wonder what happens next. Sun confidant and confuse is a great money farmer .
Does it matter if it's hard/normal? Because I know for a fact merciless has worse drops. And yeah I know you get the luck through the gallows slowly day by day, because RNG is pretty bad for raising any one stat 3 times per day (like the guide suggests). I think going for two stats per day with a persona that has decent base luck, like magic with luck is actually better (also if you use accessories that increase luck and use invigorate to replace the SP adhesive).
I'm about to start a 3rd playthrough of P5 to start correcting the grave mistakes I made in my first playthrough and clear some trophies, I'm gonna use this to pay for all those expensive fusions.
Do this in safety you get x5 money , but kinda sucks they don’t let you change difficulty after changing to safety

very helpful video thank you so mush but you forgot to mention that your persona have to be at level 99 because when you increase you luck (LU) the more money you can get and your persona have (LU 90 ) and that why you got over 100K every time
i messed up and didn't do Shiki ouji i just kept my sandman, managed to make 3 million, i'm hoping if i invest 1 mil into sandman i'll reach high luck but the highest treasure demon i have atm is the necklace and i feel it'll take many many necklace's to level sandman

Heyy thanks for the video. However, will this method work to a smaller scale with regular enemies? I already did all requests even on NG+, so I can't get enough money to complete the compendium even if I sell everything.
Normal enemies will escape from the fight so you end up making more money if you actually beat enemies the traditional way. Bosses don't escape which is what makes this method viable in the first place. I'd highly suggest against doing this vs. Normal enemies and just do this on a NG+
He only drops item when i confuse him, why?
How does the luck stat even work? i have vishnu at lvl 99 and he has 60 luck and did this same boss and he was giving me like 30-40k yet i say someone who was using eh cant remember the persona but he had about 50-55 luck and was doign the same boss also but was getting like 100k+? how is that possible?
Difficulty
is the yen drop based off of luck of the currently equipped persona or is it based off of the persona that uses pulinpa? For example, if I inflict confusion with onmoraki then swap to a higher luck persona like thanatos, would I get more yen?
Yes you do but do the math and you'll find that you're better off making a new Persona instead.
MC Turn = Pulinpa // Persona = Onmoraki
Enemy Turn = Confused // Drops Yen based off of Onmoraki stat
MC Turn = You switch to another Persona
Enemy Turn = Confused // Drops Yen based off of new Persona
MC Turn = You defend or do any action
Enemy Turn = Confusion wears off and they will attack you
Therefore, you can only get 1 turn in where the other Persona's Luk matters. Instead, if you invest in a new Persona, all your turns = consistent luk

Yes it does
Can you still get good amounts of money if your luck is very low? Obviously doing this on first run and lower level it will not be easy getting that much luck so I'm stuck grinding with lowest level luck.
Even with 20 luk, you'll be gaining money faster than any other method except the end of the game; by then, money doesn't matter unless you're doing NG+ run.

No, you can do this to any enemy that doesn't escape and which can be inflicted with confuse. Even mini bosses in Palaces which can suffer confusion will work just fine.

You need more LUCK stat. If you're doing it right, you need to farm for about 2 hours to reach the cap.

I don't understand... Sandman couldn't inherit confuse boost and pulinpa..... How can you inherit those two skills? I created onion chiken i got those 2 skills but all i saw was Sandman fuse with different personas under fuse by result sections and onion chicken is not included but with diff personas without those 2 yen grinding skills.... please explain this to me... I seriously don't understand how sandman got those 2 skills without fusing chiken onion? What am i doing wrong?

If the stats you want are not yellow press the back button(O) then it's just a matter of trying again. You can press X, O(wait a second) and repeat the process till only the stats you want are highlighted this works most optimally with no more than 2 stats highlighted. When the stat is at 94 or 89 you could stop(some items can boost the stat +5 or +10) the way I speed the process up is just having the fusion visible, checking the stats and spam oX..oX..oX(with a brief delay after each X so the stat loads) if it's bad immediately press O followed By X to reload then register to compendium and resummon(Very Expensive) or wait for the next day(Cheap but time consuming) the twins get annoying so just mute and listen to music

That's a built in passive in the Persona I am using. Ouji has immunity against Physical Attacks

You can't. You have to go through NG+

Gfitty It doesn't work against anything immune to Confuse. If it gets confused, it will make it rain.

Nope, you just get stuck at the cap and gain nothing. The battle will keep giving you the same amount of money so you need to manually keep track of your gains

Terrance Love Better late than never! Tips.. My channel has a lot of those for this game but the best tip I can give you is... Go through the game without reading anything or following any guides and on your second play through follow whatever guide you want. I posted multiple tutorials and helpful stuff on my channel so feel free to utilize them provided you accept that you might see some spoilers here and there... I never discuss story elements but if you see a character's name in the party that's a spoiler so be careful.

Execution via Gallows to boost their level. Sacrifice a treasure demon. Check the stat page before committing. You want Lu, Ag and Ma. Press O to cancel if it's not good and X again to check then just keep repeating O, X to cancel and check. OX check, OX check, OX check till you get Luck only, Ag only or Ma only try to make sure you mostly favor Lu. After you sacrifice the persona to boost the one you want register the data to the compendium. Then sack the persona, resummon it and then try again. If you prefer a St Ag Lu build you can but then only equip it with good physical attacks and some EN for survival can help
yeah, i have my ouji at level 90 and his luck is not even close to 99, and when they toss out money it's 4,000 MAX. i have no idea how you are doing this.
no, i did it on the red glowing enemy. and he just gave me 4k each time. and my luck was at 50 with a +10 luck accessory.
i did it on the fortune tellers quest. he gave up 33k , so i farmed it up to 5 million in a few hours. it's not 9,999,999..... but it should be enough to get through the rest of this playthrough and new game + without having to worry about much
The difficulty of the enemy helps decide how much they drop per turn. I started this in December with 2 A-Rank quests and got 60-70k per turn. I think the quest "Swindling Old Folk is Pretty Low" gives the most Yen per drop. There's also "Daughter's Just a Meal Ticket" which is the one I used.
I had 40 luck on Sandman, I was on Hard if that means anything.

When you go to the "Strengthen Persona" option, you can see which stat will grow as it is highlighted by yellow.
Other than that, you can equip gears that boost Luk.
Then how do you beat him when you want to finish this farming since you are alone?
You should be strong enough to kill them in a few hits and not take much damage from them. Also having diarama would be helpful.
Or since you're immune to physical attacks you can just rush it without worrying of dying

how you get so much luck? I only get like 24 (I used Sandman, btw)

how are you able to equip a persona that is higher level than you?
You can be level 5 and equip a level 99 Persona with no restrictions. The restriction the game puts on you initially is that you can NOT fuse a Persona of higher level. Fusing = Combining 2 Persona or more to get a Persona that is higher level than you. However, you're still free to fuse a level 10 Persona when your MC is level 10 but then use Strengthen Persona to make that Persona level 20; there are no restrictions against that.
If you unlocked the Persona, you can summon it no matter what.
Later on in the game, that restriction gets removed and you are able to Fuse Persona of any level at a -cost-. If you're level 20 and try summoning something that's level 90+... Do expect to pay 500,000+ Yen

How do I increase luck of the persona?
Level it up using "Strengthen Persona" which will have you sacrifice 1 Persona to power up another. Before the Persona levels up and on the confirmation screen, you will be able to see which stats will increase (Yellow). If it shows Luk as Yellow then it means Luk is going to increase. If it shows White, then you need to cancel the fusion and try again and the stat growth will change.

Emman Asuncion In NG+, whatever Persona you unlocked in the previous game play can be used. Even if you are level 5, you can still Summon level 90+ Persona as long as you have the money

Because Spell Master cuts SP cost by 50% and Invigorate 3 restores 7SP/Turn which means I can never run out of SP unless I am spamming spells that cost 30SP or more every turn.
