I recently held a 100k Lange at dealer and I was surprised at how nervous I was just holding it. I think I'd be crapping my pants holding a million dollar watch. Tim is just flipping that thing around like a Christmas ornament with no gloves on hahaha.
I tried on a Richard Mille the other day and walked around to feel the weight on my wrist. I thought it was maybe 150k. I almost pissed myself when the salesman said $828k
There is no one better at describing watches than you. Your mastery of relevant adjectives and adverbs and your seamless and flawless delivery, comprehensive descriptions and consistently swift pacing is incredible. I wish there was a YOU for ALL of my esoteric interests.
@@IHWKR If you like long, drawn-out, metaphorical analysis, sure. But Tim provides pulp information with the most grandiose vocabulary in the industry.
They aren't drastically different in time. And they also know how to treat a watch better. If I had the money, I'd never buy from a person that treats watches like he does.
I really appreciate you doing these videos it is something I really look forward to seeing every morning . What a gorgeous watch , nearly a million you say ? I just bought a couple of lottery tickets so you never know . Keep up the good work Tim stay safe and healthy and happy .
The watch is 800 mm in diameter, a kilometer lug to lug, and a mile and a half thick. I recommend for any with a wrist at least one micron in circumference. Maybe even a nanometer.
At 6:10, why did the chronograph minutes move with the standard minutes? It seems strange that the elapsed chrono time would move forward when adjusting the time. Was this a mistake?
It already is pretty much THE Patek to own. I think they avoided it because of size. The automatic part already makes it thicker. The Lange version of a grand complication with split seconds is a whopping 50mm... Patek might be able to do it in say 45 but that's still unwearable which is the biggest thing for Patek.
@@misteratoz i know, both this patek and the lange have splits seconds but while the patek has a 30 minute register, the lange doesnt, it just has a fifth of a second register wich in my opinión is less useful
@@raphaelortegacoste6509 Honestly at that price I'd go FP Journe Astronomic at least they are new and practically unique. Rose Gold tourbillion movement etc.
The patek that nearly has it all, full calendar and full chronograph, and the only complication missing is a gmt time zone, imagine if patek could have included this in too, then it would have had absolutely everything you ever needed.

@@donoldduckben their RM 27 lineup is very cool. The RM 27-01 defines what RM is. I hate their round case watches and their most basic models. The RM 67-01 is the only basic RM I find good looking. They completely look away from the traditional art of haute horlogerie and instead make watches for extreme situations. Their RM 27-04 can keep time accurately even in g forces of 12,000. A person in a rocket launch experiences 6g for god's sake. They push the limits of technical watch making and their watches are anything but dress watches. If you appreciate their mechanical ingenuity then you love the brand and if you just go for the looks, you'll hate the brand. Their watches are priced this high because they have a ton of hype around them. They used to make chronographs that were priced at $40k, now the same watch costs $130k retail. Also the fact that their high end watches are extremely limited and the time it takes to design and engineer the watches is the reason for the price.
The caseback looks rather plain for such a complicated watch. The polishing on that platinum caseback looks like it was done by a 4 year old. Nevertheless, it’s an ultimate grail piece. No diamonds, no flourishes, just a pure and complicated watch.
The big problem with these brands' watches is that they sometimes have unforgivable design flaws that should never be found on watches of this price. Companies like Apple have an obsessive attention to detail and design (for objects that will be old after a year) and even more so it should be for timeless objects like the watches of these great Maison. One above all, as often happens, and as well as in this watch, the ugliness of the watch hands. In this case, banal clock hands found on watches like Casio or Citizen. From these Maison I expect perfection, harmony and balance.
All you can do is stand up and applaud!! One of the finest timepieces to ever grace the Earth. Patek is king.

It really doesn't get any better than this.
Technically yes, personaly I like the 5370p even more.
They can add a Tourbillon you know ;)

#1 watch in the world IMHO.
That is the ultimate grail watch, definitely, the best watch money can buy in my opinion.
Instantaneous perpetual calendar!! What a gorgeous masterpiece that only Patek can produce
This is where Patek still beats out Lange in my mind... Ultra complexity in a wearable size.
yeeeeeep..agree 100%
An absolute master piece of horlogy 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿those who know? Know
6:30 minute repeater
I love this watch!
You are here for 6:34
Wonderful piece!
Lange 1 perpetual tourbillon and Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon are instantaneously jumping calendar watches
Tim how close is the case construction to the AP Code 11:59? Somehow it reminds me of that profile with a smoother aesthetic.
I think that F.P. Journe’s perpetual calendar also changes instantaneously. Correct me if I am wrong.
Yes same for the Quantième Perpétuel (perpetual calendar)
This watch is incredible
what a perfect watch
worth over a million. don't think anyone would actually wear such a watch, but just put in a safe as an investment
Retail price??
If they added a split seconds to thid or maybe add a minute repeater to the 5204, it would be like one of the most desirables patek ever

It's weird that the minutes counter goes out of whack when you advance the time while the chronograph is running. Very very odd.

Beautiful watch in all respects.
Crazy piece!!!
Awesome but I'd like to see it with salmon dial and split seconds chronograph. Ideally with a tourbillion too for that price.
David Drummond you can stick with a cheaper 5270p in this case but forget the split seconds and Tourbillon....

You can pick up a 5216p for 850,000. Tourbillon, minute repeater, perpetual calendar. And in rose gold I believe you can pick them up for far less.
The patek that nearly has it all, full calendar and full chronograph, and the only complication missing is a gmt time zone, imagine if patek could have included this in too, then it would have had absolutely everything you ever needed.
This is actually my Ultimate Dream watch, costing as much as a property... i can only dream to own it...
One day you may
A PROPERTY? 5 properties in most places lmao

Wonderful... but who would really wear something worth this much every day...or even fairly often.
Depending on which city or state you live in Monaco yes even i hear Japan safe
❤❤❤❤
Ed Sheeran has one.
I can’t wear this watch because I’d be sweating so much it would be soaked inside!
Patek keeps calling it a Grand Complication yet the chrono isn't a split one.
I am not the biggest fan of minuete repeaters, they are so crazy expensive from Patek.

Fantastic! Would I be brave enough to wear it if I had the money? In bed possibly?
