I watched both your videos for your bumper builds on the Ram. I bought a Move rear bumper for my 02 F-350. I really like the rough texture finish. looks really nice. I plan on getting mine powder coated. just to match the front winch bumper.
Glad you like them!
Looks good! Great step-by-step process of building the Classic Rear Bumper Kit!
Thanks! 👍
That bumper turned out great!
Looks great!
That's a serious bumper, very stout, and looks great. Spraying that bedliner on really makes a difference.
Well done, sir. Well done.
👍👍
Thanks 👍
Well done Sir, amazing work .
Many thanks!
This is a great video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice bumper look like you have become the bumper king.,
Thanks!
This deserves more likes my friend👍🏽💯
Thanks!
Pretty cool man! I'd like a bumper like that for my 87 Ramcharger....plus it more fun too weld up your own.
Yeah these things are fun to assemble. Thanks for watching!
Nice looking bumper, great job!! One thing, I know you wiped it down with acetone before priming but you also were running your bare hands over it after the acetone which could put body oil from your hands on it. Hopefully you used wax and grease remover (with gloved hands) before priming it. Nice work.
Thanks for watching!
Never disconnect your battery for more than a minute .. you will have to reset your radio clock. Instead unplug it then within that minute flip it around and plug it up backwards that will keep the time and it your vehicle wont be grounded since it’s reversed preventing shorts while welding
Good looking improvement over the o.e.m. chrome bumper,.. perhaps,.. no it IS stronger than original.
No doubt, the oem bumper is a piece of crap. Thanks for watching!
Im building that same exact bumper. I have a question, how thick of a piece did you weld on to the back of the bumper for the tabs on the trailer plug to engage on?
14ga
Real nice job! Skinned your knee caps on the tow hooks yet? ;-).
Not yet! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I'm building the same bumper for a Ram Rebel. What size hole saw did you use for the trailer wiring receptacle?
Sorry I don't remember.
Dial caliper from Harbor Freight can tell you what size you need. Bonus thing: the caliper is reusable.
Is that Negan on the door?
Is it better to build a bumper, or get a blumper???
How well has rhe raptor liner held up?
It has held up quite well. The front bumper was done months before the rear and it looks just like the day I sprayed it.
I'm kinda surprised you didn't design and cut your own parts on your DIY cnc plasma machine. 😜
This way both the front and back match. I thought about making my own and I do have another truck, Hmmmmm.
Did you not need the hole for the spare tire rod?
I didn't have to do anything extra for the spare tire hole on my truck. It is however a tight fit when I lower the spare, but it is do-able.
Looking at these two bumpers, how much would you estimate each of them to weigh?
Not sure exactly, but they aren't that much heavier than the stocks ones.
@@MakingStuff Thank you, that info is still helpful. Didn't want to add hundreds of pounds to my truck...
Why is the step portion of the bumper sloped? Can't stand on it.
Why is it necessary to disconnect the battery? Just curious
So you don't fry the truck computers when tack welding the bumper on the truck. Good question by the way. 👍
What @BigBlueMotors said.
No back up sensors?
Unfortunately most offroad bumpers don't come with them
Nope.
Need some better lights so you can avoid backing into something, too late if you can see it after you hit it, lol
It would be nice to find someone here in Ohio who knows how/is willing to install one lol.
I believe there is a list of weld shops that will assemble/install bumpers on the Move bumpers web site.
Looks great!
Thanks!
