*My dad is a highly skilled welder but he will choose bolt together equipment over welding in almost every example I've seen.* I'm a decent welder and like to seize opportunities to build and improve, but a lot of stuff you can bolt together is superior because it can be serviced more effectively as well as removed. I've been doing a lot with Unistrut the last few years and don't weld a whole lot of it.
Looks good! Maybe I missed it, but I’d have Loctite Red for the pieces that hold the bumper sections to themselves and blue loctite for the ones mounting to the truck frame. Those are a must imo for things that COULD vibrate loose such as bumpers. Other than that, great option for those without access to a welder or don’t know how to properly weld.
My truck is same vintage as yours. I notice you ended up removing the tow hooks? That is very disappointing. Any way to keep them on, or is this not compatible with the Move bumpers?
Liked the video and bumpers. But… I think you made a not so good trade off on the rear bumper. The Move bumper doesn’t have the generous stepping area of the stock step bumper. I think in a wet situation the narrower step zones on either side of the license plate/hitch area will be a bit hazardous. Just the toe portion of your feet will be firmly planted. I’m a bit older, not as agile, and that’s my only complaint on the Move bumpers. Once again, thanks for all of your informative videos.
@@MakingStuff I know what you're saying. My 2011 is all original, but this year I replaced the headlights with genuine Mopar parts. Exactly like the originals. I can see again! Bad thing is, they were $250 a pop. As far as bumpers go, I was thinking of pulling mine and bed linering them and putting them back on. They have a little rust right now. 2011 Ram 3500 CC LB 4x4 Diesel. 70k miles. :)
Pretty cool seeing one of these installed. Price is definitely attractive since some of the companies charge almost $2k per bumper which is a lot
Thanks for watching!
Hope you liked the video. Be sure to use the discount code MAKINGSTUFF at both Movebumpers and NorthLights! Thanks for watching!

Nice looking bumpers! Now you need to buff the headlights (make them clear) and paint the grill. Thanks for your videos.
Yeah, the rest of the truck looks tired now. Thanks for watching!
Loved your video, I'm convinced, in the process of rebuilding my Chevy avalanche
Thanks for watching!
Great video! The BOLT Bumpers look really good!
Thanks! 👍

All of the nuts in the kit are nylocks. Thanks for watching!
@@MakingStuff well that’ll do it!
Gr8 Content, God Bless
I thought you HAD to weld everything and my welding talent is not good. I am definitely going to take a hard look at these. thanks
There is 100% no welding with this kit.
How much is the bumper
How well is the quality? was looking into getting one for if deer run out in front of me but was wondering how it would hold up

Nice.
Did you prime the mating surfaces between the bumper sections, or is rust not a problem there?
I did not.
@@MakingStuff I imagine rust would form quickly between the two surfaces...I could be completely wrong though :)
We don't get a lot of snow and they don't salt the roads here, so rust isn't as big of a problem as up north.
@@MakingStuff Fair enough.
I need one for a Nissan Titan 2015

Yeah, the old tow hooks got in the way.
I like it!

Truck looking good. I would either repaint the grille gloss black or replace. That'd bring this from good to great!
Yup, thanks for watching!

Now to replace those headlights.
But they are the original OEM lights!

You should remove spray that grill in black. Maybe even the same be liner. Man you are making me miss my 06 dodge 1 ton.
Yeah the rest of the truck looks tired now. Thanks for watching!
Went to order BoltOn Move for my 2013 Chevy Silverado. They don’t make it for my truck. Going elsewhere.
Was expecting to see the lights operating at night 😢
Doesn't show on camera very well. Thanks for watching!
It looks like they come with cheap hardware. I would think they should come with grade 8 hardware being how important your bumpers are.
Code doesn't work
Thanks for letting me know. I will contact Move and let them know.
There is a $450 minimum for the discount code during the November sale. Prices are already marked down more than the discount.
@@MakingStuff the bumper I was looking at was over 1000 and tried using ypur code and didn't work

Congratulations on your wife not hitting a pollard twice in one week, making your front and rear bumpers sag downward at a sad angle.
