First of all, Catherine, there is absolutely nothing boring about any video that you produce. Your charm and light energy lift my spirit whether you are in the garden, on a travel vlog, or creating something in your house. I find you completely delightful and amazing! Secondly, one of my most favorite videos you produce is your travel vlogs. You are amazing to me
Here, here 😊
Aww thank you so much Marie ♥️♥️
Well said
You are so right Marie🎉😊
Totally agree very lifting and natural makes me smile all the way throuthrough 😊
So wonderful to see a Catherine and kitties video today. Glad you were able to get bulbs planted. They will be beautiful in the Spring.
2 hours in the cold is enough. Lol. It will be well worth it in a couple months. It's time to slow down for all of us. Just do what the plants do and rest.
We're in the same growing zone, and I've been uninspired to plant my bulbs, too. Every week you say you still haven't, I feel better about my procrastination! After watching this video, I felt the motivation to finally plant them up! I'm proud to say I spent an hour in the garden, and got my bulbs in the ground😂
Agh yay 😆 you’ll be so proud of yourself in spring when they bloom
Being in the garden is so calming. Here in Ontario Canada we usually have snow by now but this year, so far, it’s been mild. It’s December and I’ve been out in the garden the last couple of days. What a gift! It has lifted my spirits and given me a sense of calm. I know what you mean by the hustle and bustle. People seem to lose their minds this time of year. Going for walks has definitely helped with my mood too!
Aw love that you have been able to get outside ☺️🙏🏼
Миленько у Вас на подвір'ї !❤
I was half in this video when I clicked away to order some tulips and hyacinths online. I am renting a small house since march this year and it comes with a little garden. I was so excited and had big dreams of how I wanted it to look. Spring came and I planted so much and tried to take very good care. But most of the things I planted just died. It was very discouraging and I was nervous about next year when I have to do it all over again. But this video really inspired me to try again. And planting these tulips shall be the first thing I do for my garden to make it beautiful for next spring
"Vitamin G." - I love it. 👩🌾
In our Cat Nation when kitties are unable to be found we call it going through the Portal. It’s really the only way to explain how a kitty can be missing then suddenly re-appear!😊
😆😆😆😆
Hi Catherine just found the bag of bulbs I thought I had lost...🎉
Delighted to know I can plant now.....last yr I was delighted when I got a lovely display.from my planted bulbs😊
Great little video. Thank you for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
OMG, I can't wait till spring!
🌲❤️🌲 your bulbs are so happy now .....
I LOVE the idea of swapping out the pots! When waiting for the bulbs to die back they don’t look the best. This idea is great! Love from Australia 🇦🇺
It's true, feeling like doing it doesn't always happen. Just do it and you'll be glad you did. This has been me many times.
I need motivation to get prepping my garden for spring.
Nah second thoughts will watch yours instead 😅
Hi Catherine, your future self will be happy you planted your bulb’s. Bán & Beag are getting so big, they have settled in so well. Have a lovely week 😊
It’s their house and I just live in it 🤣🤣
@@DaintyDiaries 😂
Brave girl you looked ftozen.
It's been too wet to do anything here. Except watch the birds from the window.
But as you say spring won't be long and the garden wakes up again.
Those kittens are growing so fast and look adorable xxx
Always a pleasure 👍🏻
That was a nice winter garden fill 💕
Poinsettias from the store do not like to be repotted. Put them in a bright window no direct sun and let them dry out slightly in between waterings after all the leaves have fallen off you can cut them back and continue to water this is the time you can pot them up again. Worked for me.
It was such a wonderful day in your garden.
Great tip about re potting ❤️
Lovely watch. Thank you for inspire us. See you Thursday xx
Aww I’m glad to share the inspo 🥹♥️
Another wonderful video. Thank you. The blackbird footage was great 👍
Aww I’m glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching and I hope you’ve a wonderful week 🫶
Always enjoy watching your Channel! Espeically now when its "winter" in Canada :) Hope you had a lovely weekend!
Well done you getting all those bulbs planted, I totally agree with you we gardeners are a bit burned out this year , I’m 75 and I’ve had more aches and pains , probably with the cold and wet and I’ve allowed myself to avoid doing the jobs like cleaning up things like peppers in my greenhouse and tidying it . Hopefully I have got some inspiration from you to go outside and do it now. Your so right about the mental benefits of just being out in the garden at peace with nature , I shall make the effort today 👍❤️
It’s been stinky hot here, 42 Celsius (107.6F) I liked your observation of the quietness of your winter compared to the pace of Christmas (feeling a little envious 😉)
Catherine, your videos are so lovely and bring me joy. Thank you!
I believe once u want to incorporate daffodils in your wild and shaded garden area around the hedgehog house.
Yes but they need more sunlight so sadly they won’t grow there. I did do a bunch of woodland bulbs last year and they were beautiful
Suggestion 're daffs how about get a bulb planter and put them in your front lawn how lovely 😊
It's so good to see your video's again! For some reason I wasn't getting my youtube notifications. I love seeing the little mischievous kittens! 🥰
Oh noo!! If you want to check that you’re hit the bell for my account to get the notification for new vids and hopefully you can check them out then 🥹 thanks for stopping by ♥️♥️ have a fab week x
Lovely video, always watch, always enjoy, makes my day. Thank you xx
Thats so sweet thanks so much for watching ♥️🫶
I think that you are right about the peacefulness of the garden even at this time of the year. I haven't been in the garden for a few weeks ,but when I went out to dig a few carrots still buried under bags of mulched leaves and snow, I felt such pleasure and joy. The carrots were cold with a great crunch, the garden is a lovely provider. I have been trying to remind myself 'that my future self will thank me ' when I need a little nudge. I haven't planted as many bulbs as you, however, with our Canadian winters the bulbs had to be planted a month or so ago. I have enjoyed watching your video this evening while doing a little hand stitching of Xmas ornaments. Thank you for sharing, Laurie
Good to see you in your natural habitat! 🤣 😂 👍
In my element 🤣🤣
Ooooo your garden is going to beautiful with all the colorfull flowers❤❤
Eeek I’m so excited! Roll on spring 😍😍
I love your greenhouse! I could live in there.
Those fur babies are growing so fast 😊thanks so much for sharing this video 😊
They’re getting big and bold!! 🥹
Ty for another video. I find them so relaxing 💜
That gives me joy to hear ☺️❤️
So glad you said this I haven't planted my tulips yet it's been so wet and then I get a nice day and still don't do it 😂 I feel better now!
Oh god it’s hard to get out when it’s rotten out isn’t it!! You still have time though 👏
Poinsettia plants are not indoor plants. I live in Florida and the plant thrives outdoors very well. I planted one at my old house not intentionally in front of my dryer vent and it grew massive. But yes a lot of plants are deadly to cats. I wish I could plant bulbs here. I managed to keep a hydrangea for a year in a pot before I forgot about it after I put it in a safe place during a hurricane. OOPS. I remember your backyard when I first began watching your channel years ago it looks totally different now. Very beautiful. Merry Christmas hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and new year I’m sure you will be taking your break soon.
In Wisconsin we have had crazy weather for November and December warmer than it should be, but not good to have plants blooming and bulbs emerging from ground when they are not due until spring. I love bulb plant but after about 20 I start to peter out. Thank you for sharing and reading my ramble/ Take care Merry Christmas.
Goodmorning Catherine thanks for explaining what your doing so sorry your so cold but i hope your now inside with your 2 prety cats have a wonderful week. I'll see you thursday❤❤❤.
Aw thank you ☺️❤️
More kittens! More kittens! :)
Catherine, I too am a hoarder of pots. 😂 I still have yet to plant bulbs and I'm afraid I'm too late. Ground is frozen solid. Although i could try to throw them in a few pots. It's easier to loosen that soil. I really should try. I bought quite the stash this year. The difference with me is they are all hanging out in the garage where the temp are just as cold a outside so they are getting their cold staging, but they need planting soon or I'll lose them. Time just really gets away from me during the fall gardening season. We just got 6" snow and today its neen -2C. ❄️❄️
Oh no, it’s really hard once the frost come. Maybe yes, your right, some pots? ❤️
I love to watch you, my favorite gardener, and the kittens as well. Beautiful and soothing videos.
Aww thank you so much. 🥹
two supervisors??? so lucky ❤❤❤
I completely understand the garden as a place to let the soul unclench. Thanks for reminding us to search for the peace of this time of year. ❤
Too cold for me!❤❤❤😊
♥️
You’re so right about all the madness and hustle that is going on in the shops and when you’re out driving I pick up on it also.I went foraging around my garden for Holly and ivy got some lovely foliage for making my Christmas wreaths and table decorations so satisfying to shop my garden instead of exhausting myself in the shops 🙌🏻. And it is all for free !happy bulb planting thank you for sharing ☘️🍂
Aw I love that you were able to forage from the garden ☺️
Love today’s visit. I’m from SW Florida. Poinsettias do very well here. I once had them so big they were like a hedge. After their color fades they are all green until the next autumn. I have dozens of bulbs. Thanks for the encouragement. Think I will give some as gifts. Especially one friend who loves sunflowers and some tropical gems. Let’s get her started with bulbs. Yay! You and your fur babies look wonderful. Stay warm. 😉
Thanks Deborah ♥️ that’s a lovely gift idea for sure
Another lovely video Catherine. Stop teasing with your choochie kittens. Ha ha. Love them.
I better get my bum into gear and plant my bulbs! Either frosty ground or too wet! Hopefully over next few days! Xx
Hope you got your bulbs done! ♥️ thanks for stopping by!
No mention of Mr Hedgehog for a bit. Are they hedgehogs still about? I'm imaging the kittens' faces if they ever saw one 😄
I feel so guilty after watching you so busy…. I look out and see a bomb site then think it can wait until spring only 13 weeks 🤣
Oh don’t feel bad at all!!! I go through those phases too don’t worry 🤣🤣
🤗❤️👍🏼
I can't believe how early your spring comes we have below freezing and your spring is springing it will be so lovely to sit back and envy what may come to me in April/May.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💐❣️
So lovely
Glad to see someone else only planting spring bulbs now, that gives me time 😊
Oh plenty of time still do not worry!
My garden in Melbourne needs some summer pruning but it has been unseasonably cold and wet. It is good to get in the soil and do those little jobs that make it beautiful. I did have some illiums earlier but I think the birds or something has eaten them.
Cheeky birds taking your hard work 🥲
❤😊😊😊😊😊
I'm a hoarder of pots as well 😉😂 Well done that you filled them up with bulbs 👍 It will look great in spring 🌷🌷🌷 Have a nice Sunday evening. Grretings from Berlin ⛄️❄️☃️
I meant greetings 🌝
Love seeing you out!
Thank you Catherine! Your videos are such a blessing for me each time! Love the kitties!
I’m so happy you enjoy them ❤️
Aren't bulbs the best?! It's like a gift that you send your future self.
The beast😍 so satisfying when spring rolls around!!
In my area bulbs get planted in October for blooming in May. Gardening in zone 3 is much different than your zone 8-9.
Is 3 really cold in winter?
Thank you for passing on the motivation tip… as I’m sitting here staring at the pile of gifts that need to be wrapped 🥴
Hello! Love the garden videos always.❤ The weather is mental over here. I HAVE MARIGOLDS nd potatoes coming up. The birds have been in the nesting boxes, and our low for tomorrow night is 28F.😮
It’s so lovely to see your still doing your style of video, it’s a little bit of calm I needed in the chaos of Christmas 🫶🏼☺️
Yayy I’m thrilled to hear that 🥹 thanks for stopping by ♥️
You're braver than me, its so cold in December. I got all my bulbs in, in October they have already started sprouting through the soil. Just hope they dont rot with all this rain we are having. However, i will have to quickly venture into the garden to get some compost - begonia seeds are on the way & need to start those asap.
You’re way ahead of me 👏👏
Any room for the daffodils in the front beds or barrels? Pat yourself on the back for getting your bulbs planted! Hi to your cute kitties. So happy for you that you felt ready for the new felines! They are lucky to have you and your big open heart!
no i havent done the bulbs either.!and all the leaves are off of the fig. sad garden. but the mandevillia iand camelia are in full bloom. catherine you have all my respect for going into the cold for your bulbs.♡ your garden looks so well tended even in december...
Aw thanks, not gonna lie, it’s been hard to get motivated to go out
Your videos always put s smile on my face. I love the kitties, so sweet
Yay!!! Garden time😊....that's a lot of planting👍, can't wait for them to start blooming....those kittens are itching to explore Ur beautiful garden🤗
❤Well done. I'm cold today too.❤
I still have bulbs to plant but they are on their way, I planted a few hundreds 😉 already. What about some Aghaphantus bulbs for spring planting? That’s my new flower for next year.
Oh Catherine I must try and get my bulbs planted today after work as it's not raining. That was my excuse for not planting then. One storm after another. Thanks for the push to do it. Just love your videos, so calming.
Aaah what a lovely video. And you are right, before we know it the solstace will be here, to cellebrate the rebirth of the sun and then in February we garden lovers will cellebrate Imbolc, (1st feb) the lighting of the sun the first stirrings of spring, Brigid's candlemass to welcome springs mistress. But for now we plant, and settle the seeds and bulbs dreaming and gathering. There is a humm and a beat that you can hear if you listen, the promise to come. ✨️🫶✨️
I always enjoy your videos and now the kittens as well. I have taken in two feral kittens. Ones very busy and curious, the other more guarded and laid back. They are common grey tabbies but a delight. They remind me of my tango i lost last year to illness. He was a grey tabby too. Maybe he sent them, lol
The kitties are growing so fast! my goodness!
Love seeing the kittens! 😸 🐱
You will be so thankful and so will we when spring comes. Your raised beds and pots are so beautiful!
Thank you ☺️
Mine are already in the ground, and I actually have one ginormous Iris popping up 😮 ❤❤
I planted 1/2 of my bulbs... so much more to do....
I hear ya ☺️🙏🏼 you got this 🌼🌼🌼🌼
Hi nice to see you potting up your bulbs. It's been very wet in England so I haven't potted up the bulbs. Take care catch you next time 😊😊😊
You are inspiring, I can relate to your humanness, not showing everything as perfect. 😊
We can't plant until May here. Your lucky you can still garden there.I love your hair - so pretty. Have a wonderful week.
Lovely video, love your content !
Thanks ☺️
I love your videos ❤
Yay ☺️
Nice to see you out in the garden again, it’s my first year planting bulbs but it was your garden in Spring that made me want to buy them this year 😊
I just Love every video that You post..So very natural and calm. The Kitten’s are adorable and getting so big.❤
My Parent’s are from an area very near You, so in some way it makes me feel closer to Them. Happy Holidays..🌲
The kittens are so cute. Your idea to use plastic pot inside terracotta should also help with terra cotta pot not cracking during winter since it won't be filled with wet soil that could freeze. We had our first frost, got down to about 29F (-1.6C) around Nov 1 here at my homestead in northwest Florida. Then it got warm again, been in 50s (10C) 60s (15C) 70s (21C) and yesterday high was 82F (27C), then rain and now 55F (13C)today but is dropping to about 35F (1.7C) by morning. So I am out putting frost blankets back over some of my crops and taking in plants to the shed. I took a break to have a cup of my Christmas Punch and watch your video. Now gotta go back to the garden, Seasons Greetings! Happy Holidays!
Hi, you should plant your daffs in your woodland area 😊 also it doesn't have to be double depth 😉
Cattherine I was only delighted to bump into you last night, thanks for being such a gem, Happy Christmas xx
Thanks so much for saying hello ☺️🤗 I hope you had a lovely evening
Good for you Katherine for getting your bulbs in! I'm done, and hopefully will see something good next Spring!!! Stay warm!
Roll on spring 😍😍 excited to see the fruits of the winter labour 😍
Well done for getting the bulbs in. I've only just finished mine too. I always think I've over bulbed and then pleased they come up in Spring. The little ones are so gorgeous 😻
Hi! I’m with ya on the indoor plants…they are fussy. I have a few but they are so much happier outdoors so come spring they go right back outside.
I didn’t plant any new spring bulbs this year. I have had daffodil bulbs in the front of my house going on 25 years now & they never fail to bloom. I have a few hyacinth in a couple pots that come up as well.
❤love your videos, but is anyone like me? I plant bulbs and then forget where I’ve planted them so always have a huge surprise when they come up🎉….At least you’ll know where yours 😂
YES! 😆 I think most of us gardeners are
Merry Christmas ❤️
Merry Christmas!! ♥️🎄
I too have planted my bulbs and not labeled them, be a nice surprise in the Spring! Lovely video and how fast the kittens are growing❤.
I love the surprise ☺️🌼
It’s getting too hot to garden here. Just a watering early in the morning and at dusk.
