This song plays in time with the events of the mission. There’s an exchange over the radio that culminates in you being able to take on a super weapon when the music swells for the finale. It’s an epic use of music in a video game.

Daredevil just isn't complete without the missile warnings.
And without a bigass laser frying the hell out of a place
Orchestra = Human
Synth = Machine
AC7, 6, 3 and AC3D use synth sounds to describe drones and ai. Hush, Malebolge, Revelation and Zone of Endless use this
Orchestra which is made of humans is used with Human battles. Zero, Unsung War, Liberation of Gracemeria and Archange being some examples.
AC7 also specifically uses a guitar for Spare squadron, which gives their tracks kind of a rebellious vibe that I think really fits.
It also makes sense for 5, Scinfaxi vs Hrimfaxi, one with human fighters the other with drones.
Synth music in AC3 also fits since AC3 is set in the far future (not so far but it was back in 1999) sci-fi theme of the game.
I hope more Ace Combat reactions are coming... I recommend Zero from Ace Combat Zero is next

@@kryse4806 yep he wrote a Heartbreak One one-shot a long time ago and some fans suppose that Historia Reiss name is taken from the AC5 unsung war lyrics (could be but Historia is fairly common Latin), Historia however strongly resembles the lead of Heartbreak One

Ace Combat is easily one of the best video game franchises when it comes to music, the games are full of amazing tracks like this.
Examples include:
Liberation of Gracemeria (Ace Combat 6)
Rex Tremendae & Megalith (Ace Combat 4)
The Unsung War (Ace Combat 5)
And my favourite: Zero (Ace Combat Zero)
Daredevil is amazing, but I love Sol Squadron too. That mysterious, yet menacing tone has always captivated me, especially with the latin.
Sol Squadron is fun as hell. That lone guitar accenting the orchestra and vocals and playing even when you can barely hear it. As if trigger being overwhelmed by immeasurable odds still presses on!
The sound of Sol Squadron is so beautiful yet so menacing in a way that it gives you chills as you engage in a dogfight with these five aces

Bruh, it's one thing just listening to it, it's another thing to EXPERIENCE it in game! Man!
Especially when the vocals come just as the shield disappears from the Arsenal Bird
Its such a fantastically constructed moment.
The game almost literally screams at you "Go, now is your chance, take it down!" which, aside from being a banging musical moment, is also a genious addition to the level design of that mission.
yeah, 90% of the songs power comes from experiencing it, not only has it slowly been sneaking its way into the game across your whole playthrough with more 'toned down' version but they sync raido chatter and destress called to it. Its hand down one of, if not the best, OST in a game
Especially during that fight with the second arsenal bird.
It's criminal how Ace Combat 7 didn't get recognition for its music.

@@mrandrossguy9871 Its not even overpraised looking at quantity. Those who know it do praise it as they should because it is a good track especially compared to today's "music." Not to mention it fits in very well when you're actually playing the game. Although "Magic Spear I" definitely takes the win.

Try hearing that soundtrack while you play the stage, when the woman starts the chant the entire heli-carrier comes of nowhere and you have to take it down with your team while fighting it, it's entire army of planes and watch out for it's special defence, it's fooking legendary.

I recently watched Alex Moukala reaction to Daredevil, and it really highlights how different kinds of Music Producer sees a music track differently. Which is fascinating. Especially since Alex is an Orchestral music producer, while Joey is a Hip Hop music producer.
If you haven't seen it already watch 8 bit music philosophy's ace combat segment. He adds musical notes and describes which techniques are being used. He ends with daredevil and fleshed out a part of it I always thought was weird, which would be the fake out of the horns in the back during the crescendo.

I played the mission that plays this masterpiece. I was almost holding my breath for minutes evading and attacking the arsenal bird, missiles all over. One of the most epic gaming moments i've ever had in years. Praised be the Project Aces team, they are real artists.
Keiki's works be like:
"Thought this was the climax? Not yet dummy" and repeats the moments at least three times
Seeing a twitch chat react at the same time makes this all the better.
The more I watch your videos the more I actually start to instinctively pick out the sounds that you talk about its CRAZY!
French horn is like Ace Combat’s ultimate weapon through the series.. along with captivating choirs.. try Agnus Dei, Unsung War, etc next..☺️
Daredevil has to be one of my favorite tracks of any Ace Combat game, especially at the portion of the mission you are in. Everyone is desperate to figure out some way to take out the Arsenal Bird after the saturation attack failed and all the while Count, your wingman, has a radio in his cockpit picking up radio transmissions from the Lighthouse and talking and then the Princess finally succeeds in disabling the Arsenal Birds shield, finally making the leviathan vulnerable to attack by the coalition forces with Trigger leading the way.
The OST works too well in this mission, the buildup (heading to battle, that slow quiet moment (calm before the clash, almost religious), the buildup (the struggle against the odds), the drop (the final breakthrough/turnorund), the end (victory)
Man the whole timing with this song in the mission is perfect
They have the vocals at 4:01 come in right as the sheild protecting the boss finally come down for good

It's criminal how Daredevil overshadows BANGERS like "Sol squadron" and "Archange", I feel like nobody mention those smh
All of the themes for Mihaly are great. ‘Two Pairs’ is a tense, sudden one-on-one that serves as a good introduction theme. ‘Sol Squadron’ is the upgraded yet more controlled version; instead of just the tense horns, we get more instruments acting in beat, almost like Mihaly with his team. Then, finally, ‘Archange’ is the final battle.

I recommend Demons of Razgriz from Ace Combat 5, Zero in Ace combat Zero, Liberation of Gracemaria in Ace Combat 6 and Drag Racer & Sol Squadron from Ace Combat 7.
Favorite part is that they delay the game a month for this song, totally worth it

The songs in the game hitting the good parts as you take a minute to fly through the clouds and look at the deep blue of the sky before turning to look at everything from above before jumping back in to the fights are a good feeling.

Rumor has it, this song is the reason why the game was delayed for an entire year. the Director and Composer weren't happy with it and didnt want to release the game until it was perfect. so the game got delayed until it was.
