I'm a Computer Science Engineer, due to my family I had to dive in Eyewear Business. The Only place where I can find genuine training, Thankyou Laramy K. Its very rare to find contents like yours.
I am currently in the Optician program in Canada and have been watching your videos. With the online classes, I feel like I'm not learning properly that I can barely tell how to operate an equipment when we started labs. I'm so glad of your videos. Would you put more basic videos on how-tos on equipments? Recording them and avoiding errors? Thank you and have a good day!
Sounds like you are being a bit hard on yourself. Lab equipment use has to be taught and demonstrated and use varies by the equipment and the brand. Anything past what we have would have to be specific to just one piece of equipment - same model, same year, same software, same everything. Don't worry you'll get the hang of it once you have used something a few times. John
Hi!i have a plant to learn optician in canada, could you please help me introduce some programs of colleges that i can find in canada? Thank you very much!
@@baophuong0209 I'm currently in Alberta. I'm studying at SAIT in Calgary and it offers it to international students as well. I think the program is open for international students for this coming September so you can check the SAIT website for it. There's also the school NAIT in Edmonton but I'm not sure if they do offer it for international. I'm not sure of other schools in other provinces but SAIT has a pretty good reputation. 😊
Hi, I've just started working at an opticians and I'm very interested in furthering my pretty basic knowledge and this program sounds amazing. I was just wondering if these qualifications were transferable to the uk? As I cant seem to find a program like this over here.
Sure we have a good following in the UK and around the world for that matter. Optician in the US is something different than it is in many other places - opticians in the US don't do any refraction work at all. But they certainly do all the other related work. John
No course can certify you as an optician. In Canada, like in the US education requirements vary from province to province. You will need to find out what yours requires.

You're a marvel!
Is this a true certified course?
Meaning; can I become a licensed optician in Canada with this course?
