you don't need to clamp the pack together; just use the jack under the diff and lift so the truck's weight pushes down on the leaf spring pack. you can do this for disassembly and install.
How about a comparison between a single add-a-leaf and a multi leaf add-a-leaf pack. The pros and cons of each and what applications each one is good for.
Great video. Can you tell us how much lift it provided? That would have been great info, as I trying to decide between add-a-leaf, and Hellwig overload springs.
I have a tacoma 2000, and its missing the smallest lower leaf. Should i put the add a leaf at the bottom or should i get the small straight leaf and put the add a leaf between the small and larger leaf. Will it make a diference?
Just want to point out that the leaf pack in this video was recalled and replaced with a new pack that has two more clamps along the length of the leaf pack. This tutorial does not address how to add the leaf with the new clamps.
Great job. Best add-a-leaf installation video I've seen in UA-cam 👍
great video...well articulated and concise...well positioned and good lighting....great job, thank you
Excellent and very informative video bud! Thank you!

One of the best instructional vids I have seen!!

Thank you for the tutorial, it was very helpful
Best video out there.. Thanks!
Nice work 💯

thanks for the video!
Wow thank you
If my leaf springs are sagging fair bit would you recommend more than just one add a leaf spring on each side.
How much lift did you get ?
How do you know if you need degree shims???
what degree shim did you use?
Two 14mm bolts on the driver side frame remove a brake line bracket that puts way less strain on the lines.

Question, is this the same for a progressive 3 leaf aal???
Yes
Are you gonna need a new U clamp/bolt for this AAL? 2004 Tacoma prerunner
I guess before your start just take a white paint pen and mark the position of overload leaf, clamps etc.
Dont clamp overload leaf to maintain pak alignment. Clamp all the other leafs only. Then you don't have to mess with clamps as much
would have been nice if you showed how you actually aligned the center pin
Should show how the proportioning bracket is installed that comes with the kit.
if i am adding an add-a-leaf to my Jeep xj's rear that will supposedly add 2" inches of lift, do you think I will need shims? and what angle?
Start without and if you get vibrations add the angle shims.
DO I NEED ALIGNMENT AFTER DOING THIS?

Great video but zero follow up to the questions asked!!??
Is this any different on an '04 taco 2.7L?
it would be the same exact concept for most trucks
If anyone is putting a riser block on a 2nd gen regular cab Tacoma rear leaf spring put thick side of shim to the front not rear like video shows
Omg.....I was waiting to see what shock set up u were going to use......why would u stop there?????
