Fact Vs Fiction:
The 1998 miniseries "The Temptations" showed Al Bryant singing lead on the song "Come On" when in reality, Richard Street actually sung lead on the song! Al does sing the high part during the intro but Richard sings the lead throughout the song.

@@CameronCustomsYes. Don't believe everything in the movie. A lot of creative license was used. Richard was a lead singer with the Distants. When the Primes broke up and Pail Williams and Eddie Kendricks joined the group, Richard was somewhat displaced and later emerged as lead singer for another Motown group, The Monitors, before rejoining Otis as a member of The Temptations in 1971. @@nxdr4II knew the creative license used in the movie was going to throw people off. Although, on several occasions, I have found myself clarifying fact from fiction, while navigating through the myriad "Is it Al or Eddie?" debates, I guess there's reason to be forgiving to latter day Temptations fans in this case. After all the movie doesn't even hint at the fact that Richard Street was such a formidable vocalist. If the movie had not used creative license in depicting Elbridge Bryant as the primary lead singer of the Primes, then people wouldn't insist that Al is the voice they are hearing every time they hear an early, rare Temptations song featuring Eddie Kendricks singing in his lower range or natural voice.
